~Welcome to Neverland~
Finn led me by my arm down the street.
"What did I just walk in on?" Finn asked, his hand curled round my bag of groceries.
"I really don't want to talk about it." I muttered.
Finn's jaw twitched, "Are you sure you don't want me to rough him up?"
"Rough him up? What are you, eighty?" I chuckled, "And no, I'm fine."
"Well. Good." He replied awkwardly as we walked down main street.
"It's just...That Pan guy is really intense!" I exclaimed.
Finn nodded "Yeah he's always been like that."
"How long's he lived here?" I asked
"He's been here at least as long as we have. His parents practically own the town." Finn replied.
"Hmm." I thought back to Peter's eerie green eyes.
"Wendy?"
"Yes?" I asked.
"Would you ever consider..." A blush colored his cheeks.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"It's just I'd like to always be around to protect you... from guys like Pan."
I quirked an eyebrow at him, "Are you asking to be my bodyguard?"
"Er... not exactly."
I stopped walking, frowning at him in confusion.
"Wendy... you've always meant a lot to me... I was wondering... if you'd like to go out sometime."
He set the groceries on a nearby bench.
Then he took my hands, and a Peculiar pain started to spread through my chest.
I pulled my hands away from his, clutching at my chest as the pain intensified.
"Wendy? Are you alright?"
"Wendy?!"
"Wendy!!"

When I awoke again, I was lying on my back, staring at the grey speckled ceiling tiles.
"Wendy thank God!" Fin exclaimed.
"W-what happened?" I murmured, my mouth felt like sandpaper.
"You collapsed." the man with the salt and pepper hair replied. He helped me sit up and handed me a juice box.
"Here drink this,"
I gratefully took a sip.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"My name is Emanuel, but most folks call me Manny or just Doc."
"Hello."
"Do you mind if I have your arm? I'd like to take your vitals."
I nodded.
Doc took my arm, and proceeded to take my blood pressure and pulse.
"Hmm... odd... your blood pressure is unusually high... Is there any history of heart problems in your family?"
"No... er... not that I know of."
"Can you tell me what happened?"
"I felt this pain in my chest... and then everything went dark."
Manny frowned.
"Finn could you leave the room?"
"Um... if it's alright with Wendy."
I nodded, keeping a wary eye on the doctor.
He walked over to the window and gazed out of it.
"I'm sorry about your grandmother... she was a very special woman."
"I know."
"She was a dear friend of mine. And she asked me to look after you... In fact she wanted me to give you this..."
He walked over to the cupboard. And pulled out a necklace. It was a simple one made of black twine, and the pendant was a dark green crystal.
"It's lovely."
"She wanted you to wear it."
"Oh... alright."
I took it and put it on. Immediately a feeling of safety descended upon me.
"The pain you felt... came from that odd mark below your collarbone didn't it?"
I blinked in shock.
"How did you know?"
He sighed. "Did you happen to meet anyone strange today?"
"Define strange." I replied looking him over with a quirked brow.
He laughed lightly, then turned serious, "Anyone who just seemed slightly out of place... for example, a face too beautiful, a smile too sharp."
I shifted my weight awkwardly on the table.
"Humour me Wendy."
I bit my lip "I met Peter Pan today... his eyes seemed unnaturally green."
Manny paled.
"It's good you came here today... You shouldn't hang around that Peter boy."
"And why not!?" I exclaimed.
Manny seemed a bit surprised by my outburst. "Well... he's trouble."
I bit my lip in an effort to contain myself.
"Anyways. I'd like you to come back tomorrow for another checkup. This is a highly unusual situation."
"Alright..."
"You're free to go now if you'd like."
"I will... thank you doctor."
"Manny if you please." he smiled easily.
"Manny then."
I got off the table and left the room, walking down the hallway to the waiting room.
Finn stood as I entered the room.
"Is everything alright?" he asked.
"I'm fine." I replied making a beeline for the doors.
He caught up to me on the street, my groceries again in his hands.
"Wendy what's wrong?" he asked worriedly.
I sighed heavily, "I... I'm not sure... Something here isn't adding up. People here in this town are so strange."
"Strange how?"
"That's the second warning about peter I've gotten today... And surely you've noticed the bowls out on peoples porches, by the doors." I gestured to an offending blue bowl on a by one of the doors on the houses on main street.
"Oh, the bowls? Those are fairy offerings." he replied as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world.
"Fairy offerings???!"
"Yeah the whole town is superstitious. But I mean most of this town is very old people, and they're set in their ways." he shrugged.
"Finn there are bars on the windows... On every house... well, except Gran's."
"As I said, people are superstitious." he replied.
I shook my head and kept walking towards our house. The sun had dipped behind the trees and the light was seeping out of the hollow. I shivered.
"Why? What happened here." I muttered, gazing out into the dark green forest.
Finn sighed and shrugged out of his jean jacket, wrapping it around my shoulders.
"Sometime in the late 1800's this town had a bunch of young women go missing. And ever since then everyone's been very paranoid. I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as I've lived here this town has been the safest place I've ever heard of." he replied with a warm smile.
We were now in eyesight of the house, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"You'll be alright Wendy... Darling." he smiled, wrapping one arm around me in a half hug
His voice was so warm I couldn't help blushing.
We walked, -me tucked under his arm-, down the lane until we reached the front door.
"Thank you Finn... you've been the picture of a gentleman today. A true prince... and I really needed one." I smiled sadly.
"I'm only a phone call away." he gave me a comforting look.
"Thanks." I smiled, and stood on my tiptoes to kiss his cheek.
A warm grin broke out across his face.
"I... I should go." I blushed, handing him back his jacket.
"No, keep it. You'll need something better than that cardigan if you want to last here. Besides I have another at home." he rambled.
"Thank you... Again."
"Goodnight... Darling~."
"Goodnight Prince Redmond~" I replied from the other side of the screen door.
He winked at me, and walked down the lane away from the house, whistling to himself.
I giggled and locked the door behind me, heading to Gran's room to find something suitable for bed.
"John? Are you still up?" I stage whispered.
The house was peacefully still. I shrugged and opened Gran's closet, selecting a white nightgown, and checking my phone to see where the movers were with our stuff.
"Ugh. Two more days." I muttered to myself, tucking my mobile back into my dressing gown pocket.
After changing into the nightgown. I walked downstairs to the nursery, and knocked gently on the door.
"John?" I whispered, padding into the room.
All was quiet. I walked over to the bed and went to gently shake John awake... but there was no body under the covers.
"John? Michael?!" I spoke more loudly, leaving the room to head into the kitchen.
"If you're playing some sort of joke on me it isn't funny!" I was shouting now.
As I walked into the kitchen my nose picked up the distinct sent of something burning.
"My casserole!" I exclaimed.
I rushed to put on some oven mitts and pull the glass pan out of the oven.
The casserole was black and the cheese had bubbled in the most disgusting looking way. I grimaced and dropped the burned casserole on the top of the oven, turning off the oven before shouting into the house..."Johnathan Napoleon Darling you come out this instant!!"
I stormed back into the nursery flipping on the light switch.
"You are in so much trouble!" I growled.
And that's when I noticed that the window was open.
I froze.
"Surely not!" I breathed.
I rushed to the window and stuck my head out it.
"John?! Michael?!" I shouted, my voice echoing mockingly off the trees. I pulled my phone out of my dressing gown and turned on the flashlight.
Gran's flowers were smushed, and clear as anything were two sets of small footprints leading out towards the open back gate.
"No!" I exclaimed, I turned off the flashlight and rushed to the back door.
"No... NO! NO NO! JOHN!!! MICHAEL!" I screamed out into the forest. I ran, the sticks and stones biting into my bare feet.
"JOHN!" I panted. "MICHAEL!!"
I kept running until I ran into something hard. Or rather someone.
"Peter?" I panted.
"Wendy what's wrong." he towered over me, a lamp in his left hand.
The lamp cast odd shadows on his face.
"My-my brothers! They-they've ran away!" Tears were now streaming down my face. "God only knows what sort of creatures live in these woods, they could be killed, eaten!!" I shrieked.
"You worry too much." He snorted.
"I beg your pardon!" I snapped.
He laughed lightly, "Wendy I know where your brothers are!"
"You... you do?!" I blinked.
"Of course!" he smiled in a reassuring way.
"Well then what are you waiting for?! Take me to them!!"
A smile curved up his face.
"Will you come with me of your own free will, Wendy Darling?" He stretched his hand out to me.
"Yes of course!"
I blinked once at his odd choice of wording, and gave him my hand.
"Keep up." He commanded.
We were off like a shot, him dragging me behind him, the moonlight was now beginning to make breaks in the trees. We came upon a clearing. The only odd thing about this clearing was the circle of mushrooms.
"Oh a fairy ring!" I exclaimed.
Pan's eyes lit with a strange sort of madness and he laughed giddily as he pulled me into the circle.
The smell of the air changed suddenly, and we were standing in an entirely different sort of forest, a rain forest.
I gasped as peter pulled off his cap revealing his pointed ears.
"Welcome... Wendy Darling ~ To Neverland." He grinned.
