Daily Prophet: Darling, Dearest, and Dicey?
"WHILE IT WOULD seem the notorious mass murderer Sirius Black is still at large-despite the abundance of Aurors out in the search by the Ministry of Magic-let me tell you about someone very close to the Azkaban escapee... For those who don't know the twisted (and entangled) family tree of the House of Black, well, dear readers I'm afraid there aren't enough pages in todays issue for that-another time perhaps. Today, let us shine our wands towards one particular branch of this family; right on another equally infamous member. They say the same rotted fruit falls from the same poisoned tree, no? Well, I think yes... The eldest child born to the late Walburga and Orion was a daughter, Marcela, who came before Sirius and the final child, a younger brother, Regulus Arcturus. Marcela Ione Black was not a hat-stall and was promptly sorted into Ravenclaw House (let it be known, this is an oddity for the Noble Black family and their almost absolute streak of fostering Slytherins-one divergence Sirius Black would soon follow after, see: Gryffindor Class of 1978) at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1967.
The lovely young heiress quickly made a name for herself whilst at the school, quoted here, "Oh, everyone knew Marcela Black. A darling. Incomparable. But that family of hers made it as such... She was their golden girl of sorts. Walburga cherished that girl. Because of, well... that power of hers." That power spoken of here, dear readers, is that of Charmspeak, of which the women in the House of Black are known to be born with, fortunately or unfortunately, once every few generations. "She used it well. Dicey thing. All the time. She got Ravenclaw Qudditch Captain that way, I heard. It didn't end there. Boyfriends and new cloaks and the best brooms. Got her to be a prefect, too. I'm sure she would've charmed Headmaster Dumbledore himself to secure Head Girl with it, but one day-Marcela started minding her words. I think it had to do with her fiancée at the time. Rumor has it, Marcela used it to make him love someone else... She always minded her words after that." All of this are claims from Marcela's former classmate Bertha Jorkins. Whatever the truth, the scintillating witch graduated Head Girl in 1974. She was engaged to her schoolhouse sweetheart Lucius Malfoy (raise those brows indeed!) for months before graduating, but was kept from the promise of honeymoon bliss when he was suddenly married to her cousin-Narcissa Black-that same winter.
However, it seemed there was no love lost there given the fact that Marcela Black was married to Adrian Yaxley in spring of 1975 ... only to be widowed before the fall even befell the newlyweds. Her mourning period did not go on longer than her first marriage - because she was promptly remarried by the following spring (many would go on to say it was due to the stern ruling of her parents to have a child, according to Bertha Jorkins... I'll follow up with that in another issue, you have my word, my dear ones) to high Ministry Official, Callum Selwyn! Only for husband number two to, you guessed it, also perish! Gone and away in equally suspicious circumstances as Marcela's first husband... The strange and sudden deaths so close in time would be brought to light to the Ministry after Marcela was married her third and final husband, Faustus Nott...

"... This union would grant Marcela her first child, by Faustus, a boy they named Theodore Arcturus; born November of 1978. While Faustus was the husband that kept his life, he would be the one to lose his wife; but not to death. At least, not yet? The ending of the Wizarding War meant the exposure of You Know Who's most ardent followers. Before Sirius Black's heinous acts - Marcela seemingly fled London after being named a Death Eater by none other than the former Head of the Magical Law Enforcement official, Bartemius Crouch. She'd found asylum in Ireland. There, she'd associate herself (very closely) with a French-Irish wizard known as Saul Peregrine. No, I don't know expect you to know the tall, dark charmer by name, folks. Nevertheless, Saul would go on to give the (still-married) Marcela her final child and only daughter-a girl they'd name Caoimhe Ione, born August of 1980. (No, your eyes do not deceive you. The years of birth are correct! Meaning, the Black witch would grow a tally of two children by two different fathers-only a year and some months apart ... the scandal is never ending with this macabre of a family) However, Marcela (Yaxley-Selwyn-Nott) Black was not known as a mother to either child; since she herself has not been seen by a single soul since the defeat of the Dark Lord by the Boy Who Lived - Harry Potter.
While her third husband maintains his innocence (Faustus Nott has long held his claim that it was his wife holding him under her Charmspeak allure to serve the Dark Lord's cause) like many others, it's still a wonder if the Black Widow will ever be seen again...?
Now, to end our story.
Let us go into Marcela's only daughter, one Caoimhe Black. Or rather, Eve Peregrine, as she's known about the French wizarding community where much of her formative years were spent in her fathers homeland. I've gotten a good look at this slip of a girl- rather towering for her age, hair like ravens feathers, with the same stygian eyes as the ancient family she hails from. Sources (that I am not able to name at the present time) have divulged exclusive information to me, to inform you, my readers-mother and daughter are exactly like two blades in a drawer waiting to be drawn. Miss Peregrine-Black recently attended the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic since she was eleven until an ... incident occurred just last month before term ended. Let's just say, ten young witches and wizards, all fellow classmates of Miss Peregrine/Black, were charmed and spoken to, if you catch where the wind is taking this broom...
Yes, you've understood that right! And, as a result, it seemed the Madame of Beauxbatons deemed the misuse (or general use) of such a magical ailment as grounds for a swift expulsion. Not a wizarding institution on the globe was willing to take in the churlish Charmspeaking niece of a mass murderer - except, of course, as my sources tell me, the brittled Hogwarts Headmaster. Who has already made arrangements for the thirteen-year-old witch to finish her schooling in that ancient castle of his. He sure has a fondness for the more infamous House of Black members to roam his halls, doesn't he? If this is true, I sincerely hope a seasoned wizard such a Dumbledore will ensure some ... safe guards for such a dangerous, dicey little darling he's allowed to be amongst his vulnerable students... (Surely, there are spells to entrap the charm of a voice, yes?) For the sake of your children at Hogwarts, let us all hope Caoimhe Black-Peregrine has more of a heart than her mother and uncle and minds her words forevermore... although, from where I stand, it isn't within the bounds of possibility. That's all for now, my dear readers. We shall hear of one another, and this disaster in the making, very soon!
