I rose my hand as I always did when attendance was taken. Apparently that wasn't enough for him.
He called out my name for a second time."Scarlett Grace." I stood up this time, waiting for him to mark me here.
But he just didn't pay attention, he was listening for words.

Yeah some kids are lame at my school but who knows?

People in the back began to smirk and laugh because they thought it was just too funny.

I looked back at them just as Justin spoke up.
"Uh Mr.Grace, Scarlett is right in the desk in front of you. She's too dumb to talk."
After that everyone but Skylar,Mr.Grace, and I began to crack up.
In that moment, I was done with this class. Done with Justin. Done with this dang attendance.
I grabbed my bag and ran off to the bathrooms
There was no way I would go back in homeroom.
Not with Justin or a sub there.
