Days passed by, Wiliam carried his bag silently through the halls. Looking down but still keeping attention as to not bump into anyone.

Unfortunately, he bumped a girl. The same one who lied about wanting a friendship with him.

"Watch it moron!" She called out, the girl turned to face him and crossed her arms in realization. "Look who it is. The muted freak." She chuckled snobbishly, "What's wrong? Someone left you on mute or has mommy just abandoned you again?"

Wiliam jumped a bit in surprise after the abandonment comment sent at him. He looked down and tried to walk away but was instead thrown against the lockers, he yelped in slight pain as a lock jabbed into his side.

"Listen tongueless," Started the girl, "Bump into me again or even try to go near me and I swear that I'll make sure you aren't just mute but dead." Wiliam gulped in fear as she smiled sadisticaly.

"Fran, leave him alone!" Called out a different girl as she made her way up to the two. She shoved Fran away, of which earned a huff from the snobbish girl.

"Now why do you wanna defend this mute freak, Lena?" Asked Fran, bitterness in her tone as she did so. "Just because he's possibly mute, it doesn't give you any right to threaten him!" Exclaimed the kinder gal before turning to Wiliam, "Are you alright? Nothing bleeding or broken?" Wiliam shook his head in response.

"Ugh." Fran began, "He's mute, he can't talk without using a stupid notebook or that hand thing." Lena looked at Fran with disgust before speaking to Wiliam, "Let's get you to the nurse's office in case you did hurt yourself."

Lena turned to face Fran, anger easily visible on her face, "Leave him alone, he may not be able to speak but that gives you no right to bully him! Expect a teacher to bring you to the principal's office in a while." Lena then took Wiliam towards the nurse's office, helping the young lanky boy make his way through the crowded halls.
