Adam POV
I woke up on my cot groggily wipping the sleep from my eyes. I let out a big yawn and sit up stretching my stiff muscles. You all may be wondering who I am my name is Adam Silvermane I'm a blond scottish Clydesdale horse. I stand at a whopping 7 foot 8 inches tall and I weigh about 900 pounds. I'm one of the tallest men in my company. I am serving in the marine corps when I first joined a few years ago I was only a private now 2 years later and i'm a captain leading my own company.

My team is one of the best and we have one of the best track records with succesfull missions. But thats not the only thing I like about serving in the Marines if i hadn't joined then I wouldn't have met my love Mike or Mikey johnson. He's a dark grey wolf that stands at 6,0. Can you tell who's the bottom in the relationship?

But anyway i'm getting off track. I stand up off my bed and stretch abit before walking out of the barracks. I'm hit by the sound of vehicles and helicopters taking off. I pass by soldiers of all species walking around or talking to one another. They greet me as I pass by My current gosl is head to the shower house and wash up. After walking around base I walk into the showerhouse and start washing myself.

Once i'm finished I put on a fresh pair of clothes and head over to the mess hall. Once I walk in i'm greeted by a noisy hall full of Anthros talking and Laughing. I walk over to the line and get a vegetarian meal and look around before I see Mikey and my team sitting at one of the tables. I walk over to the table and sit down in one of the empty chairs next to Mikey.

Mikey Johnson

Adam: Morning Fellas, Morning babe

I place a kiss to the side of the wolfs face causing him to blush and for the other guys to chuckle at him.

Mikey: Ah!! I told you stop enbarrasing me

he whines in a playfull tone. I chuckle before leaning close to his ear.

Adam: Be careful babe otherwise You'll be bent over outside of base till morning~

He stutters and blushes trying to hide his face in his hands. I just chuckle and continue eating my food joining the conversation every so often.

The rest of the day goes by relatively quick my team and I train and work out for most of it.

I was busy lifting weights when a corporal comes into the tent. He salutes and I return it.

Corporal: Captain the Colonel wants to speak with you.

Adam: Thank you corporal your dismissed

He nods and walks away I set the weights down and head towards the Comand Center. After walking for awhile I make it to the colonel's office

I open the door and walk inside and am greeted my colonel walker a Muscular Lion in a suit with medals pinned to it. I quickly salute him and he returns it.

Adam: Colonel Walker sir, What is it wish of me

C.Walker: at ease captain, I'm glad you were able to come her on short notice.

Adam: It was no problem sir, but what's the mission?

He moves over to a map hanging up on the wall where certain locations in the area were highlighted.

C.Walker: We have reason to believe that a high ranking Enemy Commander that has several connections to terrorist organizations. We believe he is hiding out in this secluded building 30 miles from here. You and your team will travel their by humvee and take out the target. Once the subject is KIA you and your team will leave the area. So get ready your team will be leaving at 1800 hours.

Adam: Copy That Sir, I'll go inform my team.

I leave his office and start heading back to my team's barracks. After walking for awhile I make it to our barracks. I walk inside and am greeted by my team relaxing our cleaning their weapons.

Adam: Listen up people!!

They all stand to attention and I start explaining the mission. They nod in agreement as I finish explaining.

Adam: Now you all know the plan get you gear ready we leave in a few hours.

We all go about getting ready I walk to my locker and get my gear I put on my knee pads and vest. I don't wear boots because of my hooves.

Timeskip Hours later.

It's finally time to go we all hustle out towards our humvee's their 10 of us total for this mission. We get into our designated vehicles and start heading towards the mission site.

Another Timeskip
40 Mins later

We stop about a half mile back from the target site.
We disembarked from the vehicles and start silently making our way towards the building. It looks like a simple two story adobe building. We turn on our night vision.

Adam: Move in

We move in looking for any hostiles but it's surprisingly quiet no talking or movement. We stack up to the entrance of the building.

Adam: BREACH!!! Breach!!!

We kick the door down and rush in with our rifles raised. The first floor is empty so I turn to two of my men.

Adam: Daniels, Michaels check upstairs

They nod and make their way to the stairs. While the rest of us look around. I try looking for any info but theirs nothing.

Daniels: Captain!!! It clears

Adam: Command this is Alpha this place is clear no sign of the target.

Walker: Ok return to base we'll try finding him later on.

We all nod and start making our way back to the vehicles. But just as we're about to make it to the humvee.

BBBOOOMMMM!!!!

The first Humvee exploded in a ball of fire launching us back pretty soon all hell broke loose.

We all hit the deck as bullets and RPGs start hitting towards us.

Adam: RETURN FIRE!!!

My troops start firing back as we all hid behind rocks.

Adam: COMMAND COME IN WE NEED BACK UP!!

Walker: Silvermane what the hell is happening?

Adam: It was an ambush we need reinforcements and Air support now!!

Walker: Copy that sending reinforcements now. Air support is ten minutes out.

Adam: Just hurry!!

I raise my rifle and start firing at spots I see gunfire.

????: AAARGH!!!

I hear a pained scream to my left I turn to my left and see Mikey on the ground bleeding from several areas.

Adam: MIKEY!!!

I rush over to him and start applying pressure to his wounds.

Adam: Babe your ok just stay with me ok, MEDIC!!!

Daniels runs over and takes his bag off and start taking medical gauze out and places it on the wounds.

Mike: A-Adam I don't want to die

He says weakly I cry holding him in my arms as his bleeding gets worse.

Adam: Baby please you'll be fine just stay with me, I can't lose you

Tears are running down my face as I look down at him the sounds of gunfire now muffled. He looks at me with a tired expression he slowly raises his hand to my cheek. I hold to my cheek

Mike: Adam you were the best thing to happen to me.... I .... love...you

His hand goes limp as his body slumps down. Daniels checks for a pulse his eyes widen as he starts doing chest compressions and mouth to mouth.

Adam: MIKE!! Mike!!! Mike please don't leave me please don't leave me.
I cry and hug him to my chest Daniels looks at me with a sad look before shaking his head.

Adam:AAAHHHHH!!!!

3rd POV

Adam let a scream that was filled with so much pain that all fighting stopped soon after.

Adam:AAAAAHHHH!!!!

The sounds of screaming and sobs echoed out you could feel the pain in his voice. As for Adam a switch had been flipped in his head a predatory thought process entered his head. He slowly and gently put Mikes body down and got up. He reloaded his rifle and started running towards the enemy's that were on the hills they backed up intimidated as the horse can running at them they started to retreat before Adam started firing.

Several enemies fell to the ground dead as he continues up the hill. The insurgents start running away as Adam chased after them. Daniels and the other survivors watched as their captain ran after the stragglers. Once they cleared the hill it turned silent again before the anguished cries started roaming from over the hill before it turned silent again.

Soon other humvees started roaring down the road stopping near the group. Several medics and troops run out of the vehicles.

Soldier: How many KIA?

Daniels: 1 KIA several wounded

Soldiers: Where's captain Silvermane

Just as Daniels is about to answer a voice interrupts him.

Adam: RIGHT HERE

Everyone turned around and gasped as their captain walked up covered in blood and a massive bloated stomach that was squirming heavily.

Daniels: Sir are you ok?

Adam: Oh I-m fine

He slurs his words and falls to the ground unconscious.

Daniels: Let's get him back to base.

It took a bit but they managed to get Adam into the humvee. They loaded up Mikey's body into another vehicle before everyone retreated back to base.

Timeskip 3 days Later
Adam POV

I woke up with a groan as I yawned I look around and see I'm in a hospital tent. I tiredly rub my eyes as everything that happened rushes back to me. Tears begin to well up in my eyes before I start to quietly sob into my hands.

Adam(Whisper): Babe I'm so sorry

As I'm having my breakdown the door to the room opens up. I quickly wipe my tears before looking to see who it is.

Walker: Ahh it's good to see you awake son

Adam: Colonel Walker sir what happened?

Walker: To put it lightly the information we got was fake we learned that the contact that gave it to us was a double agent. I'm sorry about Corporal Johnson he was a good soldier, I know you two were close. How are you feeling?

Adam: I don't know I just feel empty.

He sighs before walking closers.

Walker: Listen son I don't know if you remember or not but I have to ask do you feel stronger at all?

I think for a bit and realize my body does seem stronger I also notice my stomach is slightly distended.

Adam: Yes I do why?

Walker: You might want to stand up and look in the mirror for yourself.

I give a raised brow before getting up. My hooves touch the ground and I realize I'm taller?

I quickly rush over to the mirror and look at my self.
I now stand at like 8 feet my muscles have increased to enormous size. my stomach looks like a pot belly. My crotch looks like it's about to burst from my boxers.
Adam: Sir what happe—- BBBUUURRRP!!

I cut myself off as a massive belch erupts from me Several pieces of jewelry and rags come flying out of my mouth and the scariest thing the intact skull of some kind of canine furry.

A\N No battle axe

My eyes widen at the scene in front of me.

Walker: You ate six enemy combatants after Mikey was killed. As for the physical changes the doctors say you will continue to grow till 12ft that's what they have guessed.

Adam: But sir I'm a herbivore I shouldn't be able to eat meat?

Walker: We don't know why but I do have news that effects you. Due to the problem this causes you'll now be classified as a Carnivore from now on and you are being honorably discharged.

Adam: WHAT!! But sir I can still fight

He raises his hand silencing me.

Walker: Adam I'm not going to lie your a good soldier but I can't take the risk you watched your lover die infront of you causing a predatory attitude change. Look I know this tough but I know Mikey would agree with me.

I sigh knowing he's right. I just sit down onto the bed and think.

Adam: When do I leave for home?

Walker: Today Mikey's body is going with you back to his parents they have already been notified.

Adam: Ok colonel I understand but I'd like some alone time now.

Walker: Understood son take care of yourself.

He gives me a pat on the back before walking out the door. After about an hour of waiting the doctors discharge me. I put on the clothes they gave me and start walking to the door but stop when I see the skull on the ground I pick it up and look at it. A voice in my head tells me to put it in my mouth.

I gently open my mouth and place it inside swallow hard and it slides down my throat and into my gut causing it to hit the side of my belly. I let out a small burp before heading outside.

I walk back to the barracks and see my team looking at me with sad looks.

Adam: Hey Lads I'm guessing you heard the news?

They all nod their heads yes Daniels gets up and hugs me. I'm a little surprised but I hug him back.

Daniels: Take care of yourself Cap

Adam: I will and thank you all for being an amazing team.

We say are final goodbyes and I pack my bags and walk outside. I see a cargo plane getting ready with Colonel Walker standing next to it.

I jog over and get onto the plane just as I'm about to walk up he stops me.

Walker: Take care of yourself son

I thank him and head inside the plane. Theirs cargo boxes along with what looks to be a freezer welded to the inside I realize that's where mikes body is.

As I'm thinking one of the pilots tells me to strap into a seat which I do. The plane rumbles as it begins its lift off. I look out the small window and see my team waving to me. I smile and wave back as the plane finishes its ascent into the air. Now I'm just left with my thoughts I look over to the freezer and tears begin to flow again.

Mikey how am I going to get through this without you.

A\N Hope you all like this chapter it's one of the more sad ones I've done. I'm still working on how to write mental problems a bit more but I hope you all enjoy.
