Everything settled once more. The wintry winds picked up as the population quieted down, worrying about their own issues which was good for me and my mortality rate.

People no longer thought of what I did to Ivory when they first saw me. Often it was the third or fourth thought that occurred to them and ironically the fourth question they ask in our conversations. Why? But I never had an answer.

But no one forgot. Though not top news anymore, people still had in their minds. Charles was okay with me again. I had thought that he would write me off and considering what I did I would've been fine with. Side note, why do people think that us giving no reaction means that we don't care? I mean maybe I've accepted the fact that I deserve it.

Anyways... I tried talking to Ivory. It was still a long year and she was in every one of my classes. Best to try and make her hate me or be nice with me, not in this grey area.

Deja vu, I knocked the side of the corridor. "Is this your way of beating me up?"

Her biggest, happiest smile showed through those curtains of facade. "If you had any sense of gravity this wouldn't be so easy."

"Ha ha ha." I rolled my eyes and pushed her back, laughing at her surprised expression.

Okay so maybe things were better. I knew that this was better for Ivory anyways. So far Katherine and Rebecca didn't seem to have a problem with me. In fact they didn't seem to have a problem with Adeline either. I spent a few classes watching them and they hadn't ridiculed her or anything. So to me that meant Ivory's group was a weird and unpredictable one.

Imagine, a girl clique that didn't turn on one that cheated with another one's guy or on the guy for that matter?

Trust me people, you can't make this shit up.

We kept walking towards math. Usually I'd be miles ahead but after two weeks of walking slow to avoid my class I had learned to enjoy it. Now I was just like any other senior in high school, always late for class.

A girl flew around the corner into me, clearly in a rush to get to her class. Another benefit of never rushing to class, you get to see people you normally don't.

My hands flew out grabbing hers in an attempt to save myself from falling.
