Thank you for 200 guys
Neither the smile nor the giddy feeling disappeared. Not when practice ended nor when I went to bed. Only I had forgotten one major detail that would rightly ruin it.

"What's wrong with them?" Charles pressed on. I shrugged as if I didn't know but I did. I was the reason they were upset.
I returned my attention to the English Passive and Active voice sheet in front of me and realized that I had no idea what to do with it.
"Um, Becca? Pssst." I turned and immediately regretted it. Everyone peered at me, disgust in their eyes. I tried focusing on Rebecca and Kat but they were the worst of the bunch.
Obviously, they were her friends first and for most.
"Nevermind." I mumbled and turned back around to my worksheet. I could figure it out. Forget all of them. All I need is my-
The bell ended my depressing train of thought. I packed up slower than anyone, not wanting to get there first nor walk with anyone. Best to just avoid it.
Avoid... Can you believe it? I started wondering what I would do if someone would outright accuse me. Would I deny it? No probably not. I wasn't a liar especially when it came to ruining the relationships in my life. I guess the real question was would I be going home with a black eye?
As I walked slowly to the subject I dreaded the most, someone bumped my shoulder ending my cover story for my possible black eye.
"What's with the long face?" Tammy asked. Oh great, I thought, Another ex.
When I looked at her all I noticed was the contrasts to Adeline. She was smaller, features harder and definitely much louder the more I thought of it. I wish it was her and not Tammy besides me.
"Somehow news got out that I kissed another girl." I admitted, resuming my walk to her class. The destination was changing but I didn't care.
"No shit. If your gonna cheat you might ws well cheat in a corner instead on the flipping corridor." She fired. I looked at her like she was insane.
"You know! How?" I shouted.
"Any one could see you two together yesterday. That was really passionate, you horny bastard!" She laughed at my misfortune. I silently cursed. Forget that, I cursed out loud.
"Remind me to do everything in a corner..."
"It's a bit late now but okay." She replied. We finally arrived at her class and just as she got in the late bell rang informing me that I was late Economic Management.
My play hasn't worked as I walked into class. Both the teacher (who had already begun) and the entire class noticed my late coming.
I took my seat in front of Ivory. Her golden eyes were clouded over, probably with anger or hurt or both.
I wish this was a more open class. I wish ma'am would just sit down and say that we were done for the day so I can put earphones in my ears and block out the consequences of my actions.
"River." She said softly. No hate or anger or sadness behind it. Just my name.
I turned to face her. "Ivory."
Her eyes shone through their layer just for a moment before slipping back. "Your bag, it's black and white, right? "
"Yeah. And red." I agreed and she went back to her work.
All I could think about is that I had my bag on my shoulder when Adeline kissed me.
