We're in Egypt?

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

I screamed as I flew through the air. The only thing I could see was a dull orange color. The hot air surrounded me and soon I found myself landing on what appeared to be sand. I rolled over at least four times before coming to a halt.

Taking a deep breath, I quickly stood up and looked at my surroundings. There was nothing but rock mountains and sand. Beside me a whir sounded and I turned to see Bumblebee laying on the ground beside me. He looked completely done with life.

I wondered where everyone else was, but the sound of pained screaming caught my attention and I turned my head to see Sam lying on the ground, holding his hand in pain. I quickly ran over to him and it was only then that I realized running in this sand while wearing these shoes was going to be almost impossible.

I knelt down beside him and helped him sit up. He took a few deep breaths and by now Bumblebee had gotten up and walked over to see what was the matter.

"What's wrong? Is it your hand?" I asked him.

He nodded. "I think I sprained it."

I helped him stand up. "Mikaela probably has something for it. Speaking of which, where is she?"

As if on cue, Mikaela's voice echoed throughout the barren land as she yelled both my name and Sam's. Sam looked around for a moment before yelling.

"Where are we? Simmons!" he yelled as he spotted the small figure of Simmons. He waved to us. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Mikaela and Leo running over to us. I started running to them and Sam followed behind me.

"Are you guys okay?" I called.

"Yeah!" Mikaela responded.

"I think we're in Vegas!" Leo claimed.

I rolled my eyes at him. I stopped once I reached them and took a deep breath. "Where the hell is Jetfire at?" I grumbled.

The four of us looked around for a few moments before Sam spotted him on a large rock formation where Simmons was climbing up. We started to run over, the three Autobots following closely behind us.

The rock formation itself was a lot larger up close and climbing it was the difficult part. After I had nearly fallen twice, Bumblebee took it upon himself to lift me up. I sighed in relief and thanked him before running over to sit beside Mikaela who was now fixing up Sam's hand. Simmons stepped forward.

"You know, that really really hurt. You're just lucky I didn't get hurt. People could have gotten killed, okay? And if I would have gotten hurt, you would have heard from my lawyer."

I rolled my eyes at him and watched as Jetfire leaned down to him.

"Oh, shut up! I told you I was opening the space bridge. It's the fastest way to travel to Egypt," Jetfire said.

EGYPT? My eyes widened, wondering if I had heard him right. I stood up, throwing my hands up in exasperation.

"What did you tell us? You didn't tell us anything! Why the hell are we in Egypt?" I countered.

I was definitely done for when Ironhide and my dad got a hold of me. Jetfire slammed his staff down onto the rock.

"Don't you get snippy with me, fleshling. You were dully informed."

Sam sighed and turned around to face him. "Can you just stop for a second? Can you tell us why we're in Egypt so everyone can have a little bit of semblance and some peace of mind?" he spoke tiredly. I groaned and sat back down on my rock.

"This planet was visited by our race years before; by our earliest ancestors a millennium ago. They were on an exploratory mission to harvest energon, the life blood of our race. Without it we'd all perish; oxidize and rust like my retched self. Do you know what it feels like to slowly fall apart and die?" Jetfire exclaimed.

I snickered and Simmons rolled his eyes. "Let's not get episodic here, okay? Beginning, middle, end, facts, details, condense, plot, tell it."

I raised a brow but crossed my legs, trying to make myself comfortable.

"Somewhere buried in this desert our ancestors built a great machine. It was designed to harvest energon by destroying suns," Jetfire explained. Sam stepped forward and Mikaela came to sit beside me.

"Destroy suns?"

"Like blow them up?"

Leo and Sam spoke.

"Yes. In the beginning there was seven primes; our original leaders. They set out into the universe seeking distant suns to harvest. The Primes had one rule: never destroy a planet with life. One Prime defied that rule and his name forevermore was The Fallen."

Jetfire shot a beam from his hand. An image was being projected in front of me and I noticed it to be the face of the same robot I had seen on my base room's TV just a day ago.

"He despised the human race and he wanted to destroy you all by turning on that machine. The only way to activate it is with a legendary key called the Matrix of Leadership. A great battle took place over possession of the matrix. The Fallen was stronger than his brothers so they had no choice but to steal and hide it from him. In a great sacrifice, they gave their lives to seal the matrix away in a tomb made of their very own bodies; a tomb we can not find. Somewhere in this desert that deadly machine remains. The Fallen knows where it is and if he finds it, your world will be no more," Jetfire finished.

Mikaela and I stood up and walked over to Sam. "Okay, so how do we stop him?" she asked softly.

"Only a Prime can defeat The Fallen," Jetfire answered her.

My mind instantly shifted to Optimus and I frowned.

"Optimus Prime?" Sam said, a tone of hurt in his voice.

Jetfire seemed bewildered by his words and leaned down to face us.

"So you've met a Prime? You must've met a great descendant. Is he alive? Here on this planet?" Jetfire inquired rather happily.

"He sacrificed himself to save me and Lea," Sam answered him.

Jetfire glanced at me before standing back up. "So he's dead. Without a Prime it's impossible. No one has ever been able to defeat The Fallen."

A thought immediately popped into my mind. If this key could create enough energy to power up a machine that hasn't been used in thousands of years then it should be able to create just enough energy to bring Optimus back to life.

"So the same energy that's going to be used to reactivate the machine. .could that energy somehow be used to bring Optimus back to life?" I asked hopefully.

Jetfire looked thoroughly impressed with me. "It was never designed for that, but it's an energy like no other."

I smiled.

"Well, how do you get us to the matrix before the Decepticons get to us?" Sam asked.

Jetfire looked at him. "Follow your mind, your map! The symbols, what you carved in the sand; it's your clue. When dawn alights the Dagger's Tip, three kings will reveal the doorway. Find the doorway! That was my mission, it's your mission now. Go now before the Decepticons find me and find you!" Jetfire instructed us.

He began lightly pushing us toward the ledge. Me being me took a step too far over and began falling. Had it not been for Bumblebee I would've most likely fell to my sandy death.

You would think that I wouldn't be so clumsy considering the way I was brought up, but that wasn't the case. I was almost certain there was something wrong with my equilibrium and the only time I was even remotely steady on my feet was when I was fighting or shooting. It didn't make sense to me but that's just how it was.

He set me down on the sand before grabbing the rest of them from the rock. As soon as Sam hit the ground he started laughing.

"You really should be more careful," he teased.

I rolled my eyes. "I can't help what I am. Anyways, where are we supposed to go?" I asked.

Simmons came up behind me. "Giza. I noticed that there is a small make shift road over yonder. We need to take it west," he told up.

I groaned and began walking away but was pulled back by Mikaela. "What?"

She gestured to the Autobots who were now sitting in their alternate modes in the flat sand. I hadn't even heard them transform but instead of bothering to worry about it, I ran over to Bumblebee and opened the door before climbing into the backseat.

"Hey, Lea. Try not to hurt yourself. I've been commanded to keep a close eye on you. Ironhide doesn't particularly trust the twins with you," Bumblebee randomly said to me.

I raised my eyebrows. "You talked to him?"

This time the radio sounded. "Yes."

I frowned. "He was angry, wasn't he?"

He whirred. "Understatement."

"He's going to kill me," I chuckled.

"There's a fair possibility."

I shrugged at his response and sat back in my seat as the others approached the car. "He can't kill me if I'm already dead, so. ."

Bee just whirred and soon enough everyone began climbing into the car. Sam sat in the driver's seat, Simmons sat in the passenger's seat while Leo, Mikaela, and I sat in the back. It wasn't as cramped as I thought it would be with all of us in one car and that made me kind of happy.

It didn't take long for Bee to take off onto the street, Mudflap and Skids following closely behind us. After a twenty minute drive, I saw camels running alongside the road beside us. This caused me to perk up with excitement.

"Oh. Look. They're camels," I giggled.

Mikaela laughed at me. "Are you okay?" she asked me.

"I've just never seen a camel in person," I chirped.

"There really isn't anything special about them," Leo chuckled.

I shot him a hard look. "You won't be saying that when they're spitting in your face."

He shook his head at me before turning around to look out the window. I soon became aware of a certain little Autobot's absence.

"Where's Wheelie at? Did we leave him?" I inquired.

I jumped as a small bot popped up from the front seat. "Apparently not."

"Here's what my CIA contact says. Ancient Sumerians used to call the Gulf of Aqaba the Dagger's Tip," Simmons spoke as he put up a phone.

I hadn't even realized he had been talking.

"That's the Dagger's Tip," Sam said.

Simmons nodded. "It's part of the Red Sea. It divides Egypt and Jordan like the tip of a blade; twenty nine and a half degrees north, thirty five east."

"Okay. But the first thing we have to do is get Optimus to the Dagger's Tip."

I looked at Sam. "How do you plan on getting him halfway around the world?"

"I'm going to make a call."

Before I had the chance to say anything there was a line of cops in front of us. Bee swerved over to the right lane that lead to a small town and sped down the street which was filled with people.

"I can't go to prison guys," Leo whined. I just rolled my eyes at him. The cops followed us through an alleyway.

"Sam, we have to get off of this road and lay low," Simmons suggested.

Bee took an abrupt sharp left into another secluded alleyway and stopped. The cops sped past the opening and the doors opened, Bumblebee's way of indicating all of us to get out.

Once we were out, he and the twins transformed. Sam started running ahead and all of us followed him before taking a turn to the left. We came to a small depopulated area and hid in some sort of rock wall structure. I crouched down beside Mikaela and watched as the cop cars sped by once more.

"Man, stupid cops."

"This is what's called blendin' in like a ninja."

I heard the twins behind me and I turned my head just enough to see Mudflap barely holding on to the side of the structure while Bee hung on to the side of the building, holding a flailing Skids by the leg as if to keep him from falling. I just laughed and turned back around.

"Okay. I think they're gone," Mikaela said. I got up from my spot and ran over to Sam, Simmons, and Leo, Mikaela following closely behind me.

"Okay. We're running out of time. I have to make the call to Lennox," he told Simmons.

"You're on the worldwide wanted list. Try calling them on base and they'll track you here in seconds. CIA is all over this place," Simmons seethed.

I smiled and stepped forward, placing my hands calmly on Simmons' shoulders. "That's why you're going to call him."

He let out a huff and threw his hands up. "Okay. That's a good idea. Let's go," he said as he began walking back down the alleyway.

Soon enough we came to a small enclosed area where an old looking payphone hung on the wall. Simmons walked over to it and picked it up before dialing. I walked over to lean against the wall beside him, listening to what he had to say.

"Lennox, I'm with the kids you know? The ones with the attitudes. We need the truck. We've got a possible resurrection going on here. You're not going to believe where we are; code Tut as in King Tutankhamen. Back of a one dollar bill. Coordinates for airdrop: twenty nine point five north, thirty four point eighty eight east. Write it down, I got to go."

Leo came running up to us, a black scarf covering his face. I jumped as the phone detached from the wall.

"Guys, it's me Leo! The cops are coming! We have to go!" he exclaimed as he ran off.

Simmons pushed me and Mikaela in front of him and we ran back to the alley where Bee, Mudflap, and Skids were resting in their alt modes. The five of us quickly climbed into Bumblebee and he wasted no time in taking off down the road.

*Please vote and comment. It'd mean so much to me. I wanna know what you guys think.*
