Tomb of the Primes

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

"Simmons, Leo, Lea wake up!" I heard Sam yell.

I jumped up from Leo's lap. He and Simmons were holding on tightly to each other and I let out a groggy laugh. The two moved away from each other as Sam and Mikaela appeared in front of us.

"Listen. Astronomy class page forty seven. Do you guys remember the class?" Sam asked.

I scratched my head.

"No. We were only in college for two days. Remember that?" Leo sassed, obviously not very happy about being woken up.

I laughed again and yawned.

"Here. Get up. All of you," Sam said as he turned to walk away.

Leo groaned but both him and Simmons got up and began walking behind Sam and Mikaela. I, on the other hand, laid my head back down and closed my eyes, slowly drifting back off to sleep.

"Lea!" Sam yelled.

I jumped up again and cursed Sam under my breath before getting up and heading out the front door, into the morning air. Sam and Mikaela stood in front of a very tired Leo and Simmons. I walked over to Leo and leaned my head on his shoulder in hopes to fall asleep again. He laughed and patted my back.

"Okay. So you see those three stars? You see how the last one touches the horizon?" Sam asked.

I looked up at the sky and saw a line of stars just as he said.

"Yeah. But what does that have to do with anything?" I asked.

Sam looked at me. "It's Orion's Belt, but they're also called the Three Kings. The reason for that is because the three Egyptian kings that built the pyramids of Giza, built them to mirror those stars. It's like an arrow staring you straight in the face."

I yawned again. The ass crack of dawn was just the perfect time for a history lesson.

"They all point due-east towards Jordan; the mountains of Petra," Simmons stepped forward.

I groaned and stomped my foot childishly. The Autobots' engines could be heard behind us. "Another road trip?" I whined.

Sam walked over to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Yes. Now you can go sleepy-bye," he said as he pushed me towards Bumblebee's alternate mode.

I let out a huff and climbed in the backseat. The others didn't take long to fill in. Once Leo and Mikaela were situated beside me, I climbed up and laid down on their laps.

"What are you doing?" Mikaela laughed as I closed my eyes.

"Just let her be. She needs all the sleep she can get," Sam grumbled.

What a jackass. .

I could feel the car come to a stop but I didn't bother opening my eyes to see why. It was only until someone began shaking me that I actually woke up. I looked at Leo, the sunlight nearly blinding me as I did so.

"What do you want? I was sleeping," I told him groggily.

"Are you going to get out?" he asked.

I noticed that Sam nor Simmons were in the car; only Leo, Mikaela, and myself. The awkward part of this was that I was sitting on Leo's lap. Good gosh, I needed my Ironhide.

"Yeah man. I guess I could get out," I whispered as I climbed off of Leo's lap and into the front seat.

I got out of the car, my feet sinking into the sand. I groaned and walked over to Simmons and Sam. Mikaela and Leo joined me shortly afterwards.

"What are we doing?" We were surrounded by nothing but rocks.

"We're going on a treasure hunt," Sam told me as he and Simmons began walking along the rocky trail in front of us.

"Are you trying to kill me?" I asked.

"Precisely." I groaned and Mikaela grabbed my arm, pulling me along the trail with her.

"What exactly are we looking for Sam?" Mikaela asked.

"You'll see when we get to it," he retorted.

She mocked him and I laughed. After taking another step, I stopped, as did Mikaela and Leo. In front of us on a huge rock lay a spider much bigger than Mikaela's, Leo's, and my head put together. If there were three things I was absolutely terrified of, it was needles, Decepticons, and spiders, especially huge ones like this.

"You see what I see right?" Mikaela whispered to us.

I nodded. Sam and Simmons were still completely oblivious to the fact that we had stopped. They still continued onward.

"Is that a camel spider?" Leo squeaked.

"Yes sir and I refuse to take another step forward."

The spider made a move to come off of the rock and my eyes widened.

"Shit fuck," I yelled as I ran to Bumblebee and clung onto his leg.

He whirred and looked down at me.

"You better shoot that damn thing before I jack your cannon and do it myself. I am not dying because of a damn arachnid. Please kill it!" I screamed.

Bee let out a small laugh before raising his cannon up to the rock. A loud boom echoed through the air as the rock was shot. Sam and Simmons were incredibly startled by this and flew to the ground in a motion to protect themselves. I laughed and jumped down from Bumblebee's leg before walking back over to my previous spot.

"You still such a whiner," Skids remarked.

I glared at him. "Shut it, Sludge."

He rolled his optics at my use of his nickname but continued forward. We ran up to Sam.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"What the hell was that?" Simmons exclaimed.

"Bumblebee just killed a spider," Mikaela laughed.

He took a deep breath. "Can we just keep going?" he asked.

"Let's go," I said as I began walking.

It was only getting hotter as we proceeded on. It got to the point where I could no longer handle the heat so I ended up having to take my beautiful blazer off. A change of clothes was necessary though I was almost positive we lost Mikaela's luggage somewhere in the space bridge.

"Are we almost there?" Leo croaked out.

"It's got to be around here somewhere," Simmons told us.

All of a sudden Mikaela stopped which caused me to run into her. I steadied myself and looked up to see a large structure built into the mountain. It was almost in ruins so there was no way this could've been anything modern.

We began running towards it, the sand getting harder to run through as we neared the structure's doorway. We climbed up the small ledge and into the open room.

"It's here somewhere guys," Sam breathed.

"Oh yeah? Why? Because we're trusting grandpa blackbird who doesn't even know what planet he's on?" Leo retorted.

I looked around the area. It was absolutely beautiful. Ancient paintings colored the concrete walls and columns decorated the room. It was the biggest building I had ever been in.

"In his defense this is the biggest doorway I've ever seen in my life," Simmons chuckled as he stood in the doorway.

"Oh. Alright. That's great. Let me do a quick search," Leo spun around. "Nope. Ever questioned in your mind that archaeologists have been here before? There's nothing here."

Sam walked over to sit on a ledge in front of a painting and I leaned against the wall beside him.

"Whoa. Back it up, Leo. I'm detecting high levels of sass emitting from your form. Maybe you should lower them buddy," I chimed as I put my jacket back on; the shade from the sun had surprisingly cooled me down a bit.

He groaned.

"Your real life is heartbreak, despair kid! Sometimes you get to the end of the rainbow and the leprechauns went in and booby trapped it," Simmons said to Leo.

"I'm not listening to you. You live with your mother," he shot back. I sighed and sat down beside Sam.

"Guys stop," Mikaela demanded.

"It's not over," Sam whispered.

Leo scoffed. "It is over! It's done!"

Mudflap and Skids came over to us and I sighed yet again. God knows what they had to say. Truthfully, I was getting sick of all this arguing.

"Why are we still listenin' to your punk ass? What you done for us except ding my rim?" Mudflap exclaimed as Sam stood up.

"Kill Megatron. How 'bout that?" Skids retorted.

Mudflap got in his face. "Well he ain't get the job done cause he's back!"

Skids bucked up at him and I snickered. And here they go. .

"You scared?" he yelled.

"Scared of your ugly face," Mudflap responded childishly.

He hit him and Skids pushed him away. "Ugly? We twins you stupid genius," he shot back angrily.

They began fighting each other and I sighed yet again, clearly used to their little fracases. I stayed seated as the two continued fighting.

Mudflap made a move to push Skids into the wall but failed and Skids flipped over him. Mudflap then quickly slammed Skids into the wall beside me. I made a move to get out of the way but was caught in the middle when Skids picked Mudflap up and swung him towards the wall behind me. A sharp stinging pain in my arm could be felt as I dove to the ground. It had barely taken me a moment to register that I had cut my arm on Mudflap's fender.

I laid in the middle of floor holding my now bleeding arm as Bumblebee grabbed both of the twins up and slammed them together before throwing them outside. Sam and Mikaela ran to me and knelt down. Leo, Bumblebee, and Simmons surrounded us. Sam did his best to help me sit up.

"It seems as if I've ripped your blazer Mikaela," I chuckled.

"I can always get a new one," she laughed.

She literally ripped it off of me and I frowned until I realized what she was doing. She ripped the blazer into several pieces before moving my now bloody hand and tying the pieces of fabric around my arm. The laceration was about four inches, reaching from the middle of my upper arm and down to my elbow. It didn't seem to be that deep, thankfully, though it would probably need stitches when I was done here. Oh, if only Ratchet were here.

"You're definitely going to need stitches but since that isn't possible at the moment this is the best I can do. The pressure from the cloth will slow the bleeding down but not for long. Please just try not to use it that much. It could possibly make it worse," Mikaela explained to me.

I gave her a thumbs up with my right arm. It was surprising how much this wound didn't phase me. It didn't even hurt anymore other than a small ached from the blood pushing its way out, but that was all. Considering I've had way worse would be the only explanation for it.

Sam grabbed me by my good arm and slowly pulled me up. "Are you okay?"

I just nodded and gestured to the giant hole in the wall behind us. He quickly ran over and pulled the pieces of stone away from the wall before throwing them aside. My eyes widened in amazement as I focused on the familiar symbols and the metallic limbs they were etched into. Sam ran a finger over them.

"Oh my gosh. The symbols! Bee!" Sam called.

Mikaela pulled me over to the doorway and the rest followed. We waited until Bee shot through the hole before running back over. Sam crawled through the hole first, followed by Mikaela, Leo, Simmons and me. It was fairly dark inside but Sam's, Mikaela's, and Simmons' flashlights emitted enough light for me to make out the metallic limbs and faces. I smiled in awe. We finally found the Tomb of the Primes.

"The Tomb of the Primes. Yo! Yo!" Simmons' voice echoed.

I just stared around at the Primes in amazement as I walked. I had never in my life seen something so extravagant. A shimmer in my eye caused me to look to my left. Sam knelt down in the middle of the floor, staring at a beautifully shaped tool. It was definitely too advanced to have been made by humans. It must've been the matrix; the key we would use to bring Optimus back to life.

A happiness flowed into my body, so I hastily ran over to Sam and knelt down.

"Is this the matrix?" I breathed out.

He nodded before carefully picking it up from its spot inside the Prime's hand. He raised it up to get a better look but in the blink of an eye it disappeared. I gasped in defeat as I watched all of our hope turn to nothing but dust.

"No. This can't be happening," I whispered as I placed my hands in the metallic dust.

"Thousands of years turned to dust," Simmons whispered.

I let the dust flow past my fingers. This couldn't be possible. .

"This isn't how it's supposed to end," Sam whispered.

The sound of jet engines sounded overhead but I was far too focused on the remains of the matrix to pay attention. Leo and Simmons on the other hand didn't waste any time running out of the small enclosure.

"You can't bring him back, guys. There's nothing left," Mikaela said softly.

I looked at her before looking back at the dust. Sam stood up.

"Look! Look around you. We didn't just go through everything we went through for no reason at all to just have it end like this. There is a reason we are here. The voices and the symbols in my head led us here for a purpose," he told her as he removed his sock.

I watched as he began loading the dust up into it and my happiness came back.

"Everyone's after me because of what I know and what I know is that this is going to work," he mumbled.

"How do you know it's going to work?" Mikaela asked.

I stood up. "Because we believe."

I held my arm and began walking back. After squeezing through the hole, I walked over to the doorway ledge where Bumblebee was standing. He held his hand out to me and I stepped on it before he placed me gently on the ground.

"Thank you, Bee."

He whirred at me and I walked over to where Mudflap and Skids were. Mudflap ran up to me.

"I am so sorry, baby girl."

I smiled at him. "It's okay. I promise."

"Good. I didn't mean to do it," he claimed.

I just smiled again.

"Sam, Lea!" Simmons called.

I turned in his direction but what caught my attention was the many figures falling out of the sky in the distance, one of them I recognized as Optimus. I ran over to Simmons, Sam and Mikaela following closely behind me.

"You think you can bring him back with that pixie dust?" Simmons asked.

"Absolutely," he responded as both him and Mikaela walked ahead of us.

Let's get to it then. .

*Please vote and comment. It'd mean so much to me. I wanna know what you guys think.*
