Chapter One: A Compact, A Dress, And A Guide
For Izuku it was a fairly normal feeling to be . . . Uncomfortable in his own skin. Certain things about himself just-they just always made his stomach swoop, and never in a good way.
But this . . .
This was entirely new, entirely different, entirely wrong in an entirely encompassing way.
Slime forced its way down his throat, crawling and sloshing over his skin, through his hair and down his clothes.
'I . . . I ca-can't di-e li-k-like thi- . . . -is!' His mind strained, calling out for some form of help. 'I-I j- . . . -us-just wa-nt-ted to-to he-lp . . .'
Just as his vision flickered dark, eyes rolling back as the last of his breath gave way to sludge, a flash of light-of warmth, flitted around his whole being.
Then . . .
All Might.
"Texas Smash!" And the air pressure flew through the tunnel, knocking Izuku from the Slime Villain and scattering said villain about the pavement.
Izuku collapsed to the ground, sunlight glittering in his vision from where he landed outside of the tunnel. The boy caught a glimpse of bright yellow hair before the black surrounding his field of sight closed in.

The next time light filtered into his eyes, he kind of wished it wouldn't. His head pounded, body achy, lungs and throat burning, and the very loud voice echoing right into his ear didn't help.
Nor did the smacking of his cheek.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey-" The loud voice cut off as Izuku groaned and flopped onto his stomach.
Burning, vile burning, a thin film clinging to everywhere-inside and out. His stomach churned, cramping and clinching in an effort to purge his system of the remnants of the villain that had almost killed him-
'Oh, oh god.'
He felt sick for a whole new reason.
'He-h-he al-most di-d-d- . . . died.'
A hand on his shoulder jolted him forward, skidding back and away from the touch. Could you blame him? He just almost died! Not to mention the years he's spent being the school's punching bag! The only friendly touch he new was his mother's.
However, when his eyes finally focus . . . His body locked up further.
Standing there, right there in front of him, was his idol. The Number One Hero, All Might.
He was just s-saved, he was saved by . . . He'd been saved by All Might.
"Are you alright kid? I'm sorry you got wrapped up in my hero-ing! I usually don't make mistakes like this, but I just got to town and I'm not used to the sewer systems, heh." His booming voice rattled the boy's already fragile head.
Biting down on his lip, fighting the hiss building from his headache, Izuku struggled to his feet, hands bracing themselves on his knees as they threatened to give up on him. "All Might, Th-ank . . . Thank y-you, fo-fo-r sa-aving me!" He rushed to do his best in bowing, struggling to not empty what was left of his stomach from the spinning the world seemed to be doing.
"Not to worry, all in a day's work!" All Might gave him a thumbs up. Patting the bottle in his pocket he made to turn around. "I signed your notebook, young man. Sorry to rush off, but heroes not only fight villains but time!" The man crouched, tensing to take off.
Maybe if it wasn't taking all Izuku had to just stand on his two feet, he would have rushed forward. Clung to his hero's leg, if only to get a chance to ask the man a question he had since he was four.
When he tried to make a move, reaching his hand out to clear the space between them, his left knee finally gave out completely. Crashing to the ground, Izuku watched from on his hands and knees as the man he idolized sped off into the air.
Letting the breath leave his lungs in one big sigh, Izuku sat back on his haunches.
'So stupid . . .'
He'd really thought about clinging onto the top hero . . . Just to clear his conscious. Like he really deserved it, like Izuku, of all people, really earned any sort of attention for All Might, of all people.
Green eyes took in his surroundings, looking for his things. His backpack sat beside where he had originally woken up, journal off to the side of the yellow bag.
Izuku sighed, trying to push to his feet again, cringing at the sticky feeling of his body and wetness of his hair. He might of actually gotten to standing up, except something else happened.
The sound of fabric shifting jolted his head up, eyes widening as he watched his backpack fall to the side. Odd, that thing had enough books to stand up perfectly fine on its own.
Yet, what was even weirder was what came rolling out of the bag.
The small, round, object rolled right out of its yellow confines, spinning on its side until making a half circle and finally toppling over next to his hand.
Scrunching his eyebrows, Izuku sat back down and picked up the weird object.
First, it was small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. Then the design was weird to; a white base for the casing, rosy pink curls of what looked like metal giving texture as they swept in twirls like vines, and, finally, a pastel green bunny face. Well, the shape of a bunny's head, away, there wasn't any eyes or mouth.
The pink metal circled the circumference, ending in a button at what seemed to be the front.
Izuku's brain was fuzzy, he would admit that, his muscles were sore, and his chest ached . . . But he had always been curious to a fault.
So, like an idiot, he pressed the strange button.
Bright white light blinded him, and the hiss actually left his lips this time as he reared back and threw up his other hand to block some of the effect.
When he could blink and clear his vision, the sight that greeted him was definitely . . . something.
The inside of the container was just as white as the outside, but in the middle sat a pink gem in a green circle. A design of rose vines surrounded the gem, like a wreath.
'What kind of . . . Was it a compact? Was that what this thing was? What kind of compact . . .'
He reached out with his free hand to close the lid, having had enough of the . . . whatever it was.
That's when he saw the white gloves. The white gloves over his hands that cinched at his wrist only to flare out and end in a trimming of lace.
'What the . . .'
Eyes flashing back to the compact, Izuku caught his reflection in the mirror embedded in the top half.
A white masquerade mask, exquisitely detailed, whirling around to shape his eyes and flare out like butterfly wings, highlights of pink intertwining among the pure snow white color. His normally emerald eyes had changed to a lighter pastel, somewhere between mint and seafoam, the pupils that should have been black were two points of bright pink.
Lips that were normally chapped beyond belief after being bitten from nerves or fear, now sat plump and painted the same pink that his mask and eyes now sported.
Izuku sucked in a deep breath, vaguely noticing it no longer hurt to do so, then he let out a high-pitched whine and scrambled back from the compact.
'What. The. HELL?!'
Izuku's face flushed as he glanced down, realizing it wasn't just his face that had gotten a makeover.
A corset the same pastel green as his eyes, laced up with baby pink ribbons. A white shirt underneath with puffy, capped, short sleeves, and a main body that came up to just under his collar bones. Below the corset was a mid-thigh length pink skirt, said skirt split down the middle to show the white ruffles that suspended it in the air. The ruffles split too, giving a view to the green, very short, shorts underneath it all.
His red sneakers had been replaced by green combat boots, laced with pink much like the corset. White socks came up all the way to his thighs, the tops edged in pink and held up with green garters in the shape of bunny faces. The expanse of white socks were broken up by pink knee pads.
Izuku flailed his arms around, stuttering as he panicked. That's when he saw that he had the same type of pads on his elbows, but green. And then a curl of hair fell into his line of sight, much longer than it should have been.
Scrambling to grab the compact and use the mirror, Izuku fumbled over himself while his breath picked up further.
Clicking the mirror open, Izuku thrust it out as far as he arm could to take in his whole head. The breath left his lungs as his hands started to shake.
His hair was still green and curly, but now that green matched the rest of his outfit, soft and pastel, while it was long enough to be pulled back into a high ponytail and still fall to mid-back. Pink ribbon held back his curls, bouncing in a large bow like the one on the top of the corset.
Yet, that wasn't the weird part.
The bright white bunny ears took that title. Their blushing pink of the inner-ears twitched, and they seemed to rotate on their own. No headband, the ears just sprouted through his curls
Izuku whined, eyes darting around to make sure nobody had come down the street.
'What is going on?! Am I hallucinating? Going crazy? Have I finally lost it?'
Shoulders shaking, Izuku was about to close the compact again, but something cut him off.
"You're not hallucinating." The voice was soft, wind given form, light and airy in its caress.
"Wh-h-who?" He whimpered, looking around.
"Shh, my young one, do not fret. There is nothing wrong with you, I shall explain all in due time. For now, I find it best that you end the transformation and head home. That way we can speak freely and without fear." A warmth ghosted his cheek, as if someone had brushed their hand across his cheek. "Simply say; "Justice Done." Then tuck away the compact and head home. I shall be here the whole time, don't worry. Once in your room we will discuss things."
"O-ok-oka-y." Izuku whispered, eyes wide as he cupped the compact in his gloved hands. "Ju-justic-ce D-do-ne." The words ended in a glimmer of white as the clothing faded into pure light and pulled into the compact, the pink gem glowing then the lid clicking shut.
Wasting no time, Izuku placed the compact in his pocket, keeping one hand on it the whole time, and shuffling over to his bang and notebook. It didn't take long for him to stand with his things and start home, mind still in a hazy as he reeled from what had happened that day.
Only when he walked into his home did he notice that all the slime and dirt was gone, as his mother fretted over him for being so late. He played it off as getting caught up and his phone dying.
Dinner was filled with quiet chatter between the mother and son, and Izuku fought to pay attention to her instead of the warm metal in his pocket.
When he closed his bedroom door, Izuku collapsed against the poster covered wood behind him, letting out a shaky sigh. He called on his last dregs of will power for the day and brought out the compact.
"Do not worry, you do not have the need of transforming to speak to me." The voice was back, the warm presence around his shoulders as if being hugged to someone's chest. "If you wish to see me in a physical form, tap the face of the compact."
Mind running through all the ways this could be a trap, Izuku let a shaky finger brush against the bunny on the top of the compact.
Instantly a soft glow gave way to an image of a young woman. Her long, white hair flowed on a phantom wind, curling around her shoulders and framing her lovely face. High cheekbones, an angular nose, and sharp jawline, she was beautiful. Dressed in a long white dress made from draping fabric. Lines cut from her shoulders to where the sleeves cuffed at her wrist let the shimmering dress hang and shift freely.
Her waist was circled in a yellow belt, the colors reminding Izuku of baby ducks in a children's story, The same yellow held the bunched fabric at her shoulders and wrists. The woman wore no shoes, yet padded closer to him, sitting down elegantly in front of where he hugged his knees to his chest.
From here he could see that she didn't have irises or pupils, just softly glowing, yellow sclera. A gold and silver circlet sat gently against her brow, teardrop shaped gems clinking as she shifted.
"Hello there." Her voice was more solid now, still wispy and otherworldly, but less echoed. She reached out a hand, cupping his freckled cheek, smiling softly as she looked him over. "Oh, you will be such a good one. Probably my best to date." Her words were reverent, sending chills up his spine.
"I'm sure you have many questions for me, my Bunny. Mine are always the curious ones, and looking at you I can tell you might just be my most curious in quite some time." Her other hand came up to brush the hair from his forehead. "So very curious, you are, so very good. So very strong . . . Oh my Bunny you've gone through so much and yet . . ." She seemed to tear up, chuckling as she wiped her eyes with one of her long fingers. "Speak my child, I wish to explain this to you."
Izuku swallowed the lump in his throat. "W-what . . . Who a-re yu-you?"
"Good start, Bunny." She cooed, framing his face for a second before dropping her hands to hold his own. "I am known by many names, but the most common is Usagi in your realm. I am your Guardian, I shall help you down your path and teach you as much as I can."
Her gentle smile urged him to continue to ask questions.
"What pa-path?"
"Your path to giving protection to this world, to bring back the balance and stopping what is fighting its way into this world." Usagi kept her gentle smile, squeezing his hands.
"Wh-at? How am I so-suppo-sed to figh-ght anything?" Izuku was just more and more confused.
"Your world has evolved to have Quirks, some are very powerful, but these will not do for the battle that is forming. Your kind needs someone with the same type of power of those trying to infiltrate. And so we have been on a hunt for someone who could possibly help . . ." Usagi's hands came back up to frame his face. "And that is you, Little One, you are my chosen. With your heart and will . . . With your mind and desire to help . . ." She caressed his cheek once more, hands going back to holding his. "I shall grant you powers, the compact is your tool to use for the fight for good."
"Bu-but . . . Why me?!" His voice cracked in the middle of his whispered cry.
Yellow eyes teared up once more, smile widening. "No matter what the world has done to you, no matter how many times you are shoved down . . . You rise once more, you crave to help. All you desire is to help your fellow humans, even after all that they've done for you. And not for any gain, you just wish to save." She moved one hand to place it over his heart, holding his hand against the beat.
"You feel so much, you care so much, and it's taken for granted." Usagi smiled wider. "I shall help you on your path, and you shall help me fend off the creatures of the dark."
"But, why the dress? I'm not a girl." His brows furrowed in confusion, nose scrunched up much like a bunny's, from both confusion and the exhaustion creeping in.
She chuckled, hand raised daintily to cover her mouth partly. "Oh, Bunny, you shall learn in time." She rose to her feet, helping him stand. "Now, that is enough for tonight. Rest, now, and we shall begin the teaching tomorrow."
Izuku nodded, eyes fluttering close as Usagi tucked him in, not noticing how she flicked her finger to change him into night clothes.
"Good . . . Night." He breathed, drained from the day's events. Usagi smiled down at him, fluttering her fingers over his eyes, magic sprinkling down to help him into the realm of dreams.
"Goodnight, Little One."
