Jack's P.O.V

I watched in horror as Gunny, once my hero and mentor, stomped on my sister's hand. She let go and fell. I closed my eyes. She was gone, Alex, my little sister was going to die. I heard no scream. I opened my eyes. Gunny calmly turned to me, and smirked, yet blood streamed from his head. 

He picked up his gun. Suddenly a shadow ran over him. I glanced weakly behind him. Alex was....flying. She flew at him and tackled him. he dropped the gun but dug a knife into her arm. I lay helpless as my sister fought for her life. Our lives.

Gunny was on the ground. Alex stood over him, gun pointed at his head. I never saw fear in his face before..but there is a first for everything. Alex glanced at me then back at him. "This is for my brother." I closed my eyes and heard the gun go off.

Alex's P.O.V

I turned to Dr. Parker. He stared at me. Clearly scared out of his mind. "I will not kill you. But you  should get the hell out of here." He stayed there, staring at me. "Now!" He turned and ran. I looked at Jack, then ran to his side. "Jack...." He opened his eyes, and looked at me. "Alex..." I leaned against the wall and cradled his head, and put one hand on his wound, and ran my other through his hair. "J-Jack....you'll be ok...I promise."  

My voice cracked. Jack put his hand on mine. "Sis...stay strong..I-I love you.." I teared up again. "Jack....don't leave me, I need you." He smiled weakly. "Alex...you have Raph....you have Duke..you don't need my any more.." I whimpered. "No! They don't matter as much as you do..I'm not losing you, Jack!" He weakly grunted in pain. 

I slipped my...his...our dog tags from my neck and closed his fist around them. "Jack, I wont let you leave me...don't give up. you always told me that!" He chuckled softly. "Alex, I know...I know..damn I know. But I won't live forever." I started choking up. 

"No...not yet..You're too young..you have to live to see me get married. live to be an Uncle even! Jack don't give up on me!" he sighed and closed his eyes, getting weaker. I placed a gentle kiss to his head. "You are going to live." I put all my will into healing him. 

I felt him getting stronger. But he was still weak. He needed a hospital. I picked him up carefully. "I'm gonna get you somewhere safe where you'll heal." I walked to the edge of the window, I took a deep breath and leapt from the edge, flying high over the city. 

I landed in front of the hospital, and took him in. 

~3 Days later~

Jack's P.O.V

I woke up tired, and feeling lazy. I looked over, and saw Alex sitting in a chair, sleeping. I coughed a few times, and she woke up. "J-Jack?" I nodded, and touched her hand. She smiled, and hugged my arm. "Jack...I thought I had lost you." I smiled. "Not that easily little sis." I said softly.

I smiled. She looked into my eyes. "Can you stand?" I tried sitting up with her help. Then standing. "Good." She looked up at me. "Can you walk on your own?" I nodded. "I think so." She let me go, and I walked around the room. "I should be fine." I sat on the edge of the bed. Alex reached out and touched a sewed up wound on my chest.

"It's a deep one. I thought you were gone..." I put my hand over hers. "Alex, look at me." She looked up. "I will never stop fighting for you. No matter how many wounds come." She smiled a little. "I know Jack." Putting on a clean shirt, I pulled her into a hug. She sobbed into my chest. 

I pulled her closer, and stroked her hair. "Its ok, Alex... It's ok." 

Alex's P.O.V

I felt so happy and broken down at the same time. I pulled away, and wiped my face. "So where to now? Back to the lair?" Jack asked, smiling. "No." I said regretting it a little. "We build up the broken walls. Re-engage the X Force. This time I think we should change the name." He smiled. "Change it to what?" 

I grinned. How does S.H.I.E.L.D sound to you?" He thought. "Sounds awesome." I smiled and hugged him again. the dog tags clinking. "I love you Jack." He hugged me that much tighter. "I love you too, Alex." I knew we had a lot of work a head of us. And we would need to start working right away.

No one's P.O.V

"The girl has played the game well." The unknown man lifted his feet ont his desk and stared at the screen. a picture of the girl named Alexis. "But even she has her faults. Michel has failed. So has, Gunny, Parker and Will. But I guess I must do everything myself."

He picked up a knife. "Young girl, you might be smart and you might have spirit. But I swear, I will break you. As I have broke your 'father'. Chucking the knife, he let out a low grunt. The blade stuck fast in the middle of the digital screen, piercing the girl in the heart. "No matter what costs."  A young girl slowly mad her way into the room.

"Sir. We have everything in place." She reported. The man looked over at her. She resembled the Girl he hated perfectly. "Good job, Agent 44. Now get some rest for tomorrow we strike." The girl nodded and left. Another young woman entered the room. "Master..your son has arrived." He dropped his cigar on the desk. 

"Send him in." She nodded, and left. A young boy walked in. "Father. I have returned." The man put his arm on his son's shoulder. "And your assignment?" The 14 year old nodded. "All Rebles are disposed of." the man nodded and clapped his son's back. "Good work, my son. You have greatness aimed at you, Matthew."
