She planted herself into one of the few seats left in the small place car and flashed a fake smile.
"Sure, I'll take your questions" she said, whilst glancing at me and my mum.

"Okay Mrs Waters, just let me know when, or if, you feel uncomfortable," Inspector Dan said, giving a smile. Probably the first smile he's ever given.
Robin's mum gave a small nod.

"Okay, well, Mrs Brown told us that you two were in her house, whilst you left the children to play outside in these woods," he says, whilst looking towards my mum for approval. She nodded.
"And, as I told Mrs Brown earlier, you could get arrested if you permitted this to happen. So what I would like to ask you is- did you voluntarily let the two minors play in the woods unattended?"

Robin's mum smiled at my mum.

What a fake smile that was.

She opened her mouth to answer the question.

All hell broke loose.

That answer.

Ruined my life.

Forever.
