I opened the car door and was greeted my the smiling face of a man, who didn't even look older than 20. I read his name card. Principal Ethan Dolan.
"Hi Louise," he said. "Welcome to Waybridge High- I'm Principal Dolan."

"Thanks" I said, with nowhere near as much enthusiasm as he had.

"Come inside! I'll assign you a student to guide you around" he said with a smile, his dimples cutting through his perfect jawline. Jeez. What was I doing? Am I crushing on my headteacher? I've got to stop!

I followed him inside. He took me to a door which said his name on it. Inside, there was a girl. She had bright blue eyes and straight, light brown hair. She wore the same uniform as I did, but she wore trousers, instead of the grey skirt that I had. Her blazer was adorned with colourful badges.

"Hello!" she said, smiling, "I'm Rebecca- and i'll be guiding you around!"

"That's right! Rebecca will stick by you and help you. If there's anything else you need- my door is always open!" Principal Dolan said. 

I tried not to look at his beautiful face whilst saying "Thank you very much Sir".  Ah geez- there's something wrong with me...

He gestured towards the door and I followed Rebecca out.

"Sorry, I never got your name." she said, whilst I gazed in awe at the pristine white floors and bright blue lockers in the corridor we were walking down.

"Huh? Did you say something?" I asked.

"Yes, what's your name?" she responded.

"Oh, my name is Louise. Louise Brown." I answered.

"Louise Brown. I've heard that name somewhere before. Weren't you on TV or something?" she asked.

I was going to reply no, but then I realised that was a good chance I was on the news. I was then going to reply yes, but I remembered that if Mrs Waters found out- I might get into trouble. I'd have to create a whole new identity for myself.

"No, I don't believe so." I replied.

"Really? I swear I've seen your name somewhere!" she questioned.

"I don't know- maybe there's someone else with my name." I said, hoping that she would stop bringing up the matter now.

"Yeah, that's probably it" she said.

There was silence between us, until I noticed there was nobody else in the corridor.

"Why is there nobody else here?" I asked.

"You got here a bit late- the first lesson has already started." She said, "I'm in all of your classes- here is our first lesson –maths!" she gestured towards an old looking brown door. As we went down the long corridor, I noticed that the conditions of school got worse, the further we went in. This ugly brown door perfectly represented that.

I opened the door and followed Rebecca in. A tall woman with round spectacles and a long green jumper greeted me with a smile, whilst asking me "Are you Louise?". I responded with a simple nod.

She smiled once again at me and clapped her hands- bringing the noisy class to a silence. They also stared at me like hawks. I looked back at the teacher, and saw her name badge- Mrs Rota, who gave me a subtle nod.

"Class, I'd like you all to welcome our newest student- Louise Brown." She said with another smile. "Tell us about you Louise!"

"Um, my name is Louise" I said, regretting it straight away after hearing laughs from the back of the class.

"I'm from Canary, and I love to do sports, especially hockey. I also enjoy Design Technology. I look forward to meeting you all." I said, finishing it all off with a smile.

"Thank you Louise" Mrs Rota said, as I looked back at the class.

"There's only one seat left. I'm afraid it's not next to Rebecca." She gestured towards a seat at the back of the room.

"The only seat left is the one next to Liam"

I walked towards the seat at the back of the room and was greeted with a wink from Liam.
