Chapter 4

Kassidy backed herself into the corner of the room as Hook approached her slowly, tauntingly almost.
"That hurt, quite a bit love." he said.
"You were choking me.. I thought you were going to kill me." Kassidy replied.
"Aye, I might have. So tell me, are you a witch?" He asked. Kassidy shook her head.
"I..don't know what I am.." She said. No one knew about her magic besides Elliot. Not even her father. He stepped closer to her and she flinched.
"Oh, I have you attention now." He smirked. Kassidy put a hand over her throat where his had just been moments ago.
"To your feet." He instructed. Kassidy stood, only a little afraid of what he would do if she didn't. He did almost kill her with his bare hand after all. He reached out and she pressed her back to the wall.
"I'm not going to hurt you. Princess" Hook said and although his voice took a softer tone, she was skeptical. He was deceptive.
"I don't believe you."
He stepped back, away from her. "If you do as I say, no more harm will come to you. You have my word." Hook said.
"I don't know what you have heard of me Captain, but I rarely do as I am told." Kassidy said. "And I will not allow you to use my magic. Elliot died protecting me from that and I will not let that be in vain."
Hook chuckled darkly.
"Aye, I'm learning princess. Fret not, you will too. And as far as your magic, I don't need it, but you're value just went up ten fold." He smirked.
"I'm sorry, my value?"
"Aye. I have no need for bratty little princess on my ship, not when I could sell you. A princess is worth quite a bit of coin, but a princess with magic? That will keep myself and my crew comfortable for a while. So tell me love. What else can you do with those hands?" He asked. Kassidy felt panic bubbling, she had to get off this ship. She was a fairly decent swimmer, She could jump if she had to but would she survive it? Would she make it anywhere near land before becoming shark food, or before catching her death in the frigid sea?
"Not much Captain." Kassidy said and shrugged.
"Oh, I highly doubt that." Hook grinned.
"Well, if you must know.." She sighed and put both of her hands out knocking him backwards with an invisible force. He hit the wall at the back of the room and crumbled to the floor.

She bolted up the stairs as quickly as she could, she was still weakened by the three days without food and water, and her brain was still foggy from lack of sleep. She slammed the hatch shut and locked it.
"Enjoy your stay Captain." She smirked and turned to run and ran right into Hook. She looked back and forth between him and the hatch in disbelief
"I just.. You.. how?!" She demanded.
"Oh I know this ship like the back of my.." He started and gestured to his hook. "Well, you know." He grinned. "Where did you think you were going to run?" He asked with a taunting laugh. "Look around you sweetheart. There is nowhere for you to go." Kassidy looked around and that's when she saw it in the distance a ship and from the looks of it, a royal ship. The Gods were smiling on her this day. She broke free from Hooks grasp and ran to the side of the ship.
"Stop her!" Hook shouted. She put her hands out knocking crew members away from her as they tried to grab her She hoisted her self up onto the edge and teetered. She was weakened by using her magic.
"Are you bloody mad?!" Hook demanded "You'll die before you make it to that ship!"
"Then I will die free, and not a slave!" Kassidy shouted. One of the crew went to grab her.
"No! You bleeding idiot she will fall!" Hook warned Kassidy put her hand out and the man crashed backwards. Kassidy felt faint, she really should have ate more before trying the heroics. Her eyelids fluttered and she tumbled backwards off of the ship.
"Foolish girl." Hook grumbled and ran to the side followed by Smee. Smee watched anxiously waiting for the princess to surface.
"Captain..you have to save her."
"Save her? I'd like to be bloody rid of her shes been nothing but a nuisance since I stole her from her kingdom!" Hook spat. Smee gave him a look, the one that somehow always brought the humanity out of him.
"Gods dammit Smee!" He grumbled and shed his heavy coat before jumping in after the princess.

"Come on lass, don't tell me I jumped in there for nothing!" Kassidy heard faintly, her eyes shot open and she sat up expelling the sea from her lungs. She flopped backwards back onto the hard deck panting, her vision blurred only able to see the piercing blue orbs of the pirate captain before she blacked out again.

When Kassidy came to again she was warm, and cozy she pulled the blanket to her chin and snuggled smiling to herself. Perhaps it was all a dream and she was home. She went to rub the sleep out of her eyes when the rattling of chains as she moved her left hand brought her back to her horrible reality. She felt the bed that she was on shift and there was a light snoring sound beside her. She sat up weakly and looked to her right and panic set in. She was chained to the Captains bed and he was asleep next to her. She peeked under the blanket, her dress and under dress were gone and replaced by a oversized puffy shirt and a pair of trousers.
Who dressed me? No.. Who Undressed me?!
She looked around the room, there were large windows and she could see the sunrise. There was a desk, with maps scattered about and chests with jewels spilling out of them in the corner of the room. There was also a dining table, it was a rather large room. The captain rolled over and mumbled something in his sleep and laid his arm across her lap. Kassidy couldn't take it anymore her. This was too strange.
"Wake up!" She hissed and used her free arm to throw his off of her.
"Calm down Princess." He mumbled.
"Calm down? Calm down?! I am chained to your bed in clothes that I specifically remember NOT wearing hours ago." She said "What have you done to me you filthy pirate?!" Hook looked at her rather offended "Filthy? I bathe quite frequently thank you!" He said and stood up. He was in nothing but underwear.
"Oh. Gods.." Kassidy mumbled and shielded her eyes. "Why are you half naked?!"
"Because, you generate the heat of two bloody suns when you sleep.." He scoffed. Kassidy peeked at him through her fingers, its not that the pirate captain was horrible to look at. He wasn't, its just this was not exactly the situation she wanted herself in. He pulled on his leather pants and turned to her, smirking once he noticed that she was looking.
"See something you like princess?"
"No!" she huffed and crossing her arms.
"Why am I in here? Why am I in different clothes? And what did you do to me?" She asked staring at him with an accusatory glare.
"You are in here because I wanted to keep an eye on you. You have been in and out of consciousness for three days. You are wearing different clothes because yours were wet and ruined, and rest assured princess, I have done nothing to you, if I had done anything to you in that nature, you'd remember it darling." He said and grinned. Kassidy felt her cheeks burning involuntarily
"Don't you speak to me that way." She spat.
"You know you could show some gratitude, I did save your life." Hook said growing impatient.
"I didn't ask you to." Kassidy shrugged. "I would have rather died."
"Is that so?" He asked as he pulled his shirt down over his shoulders and attached his hook. Kassidy swallowed the lump in her throat as his hook clicked into place and he stalked over to her. She gasped as the cold metal was pressed to her cheek. His eyes bore into hers, studying her expressions carefully as he slid the hook down the side of her face and too her neck tracing it gently along her throat stopping at the hollow and resting the tip of his hook there. He took in the fear in her eyes and smirked at the way her chest rose and fell as she struggled to breathe normally. He pulled his hook away from her throat.
"Don't worry Princess. Not today." He said and walked away putting on his boots.
"W..where are you going?" Kassidy asked.
"To get us some breakfast. I'll be right back." He said clearly amused for rattling her cage. Kassidy pulled at the chain and growled he just laughed on his way out of the cabin.

He returned in a timely manner and set the tray down on the dining table.
"Now, here's how this is going to work. I am going to unchain you. You are going to sit, and eat, if you behave, you will be allowed to roam freely on deck. Any trouble, and you will be back in chains. Understood?"
Kassidy nodded.
"Good." He smiled and walked over and picked the lock on the shackle with his hook. Kassidy swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood walking to the table and sitting down.
"Why can't I remember the last three days?" She asked.
"Well I'd say it was because you were not feeling one hundred percent before you took a tumble overboard and nearly drowned. You were sleep deprived, which I'm going to assume was the reason you thought it was a good idea to take a swim in the first place." He replied and took a bite out of a chunk of bread. "Eat."
Kassidy looked at the tray of food and picked out some berries and plopped one in her mouth.
"I would have rather drown, than be sold into slavery." Hook rolled his eyes
"I was trying to scare you princess. I don't intend to sell you to slavery." And just like the look she got when she had mentioned Milah, his eyes clouded yet again with painful memories.
"Then what are your intentions with me Captain?" Kassidy asked.
"I don't know yet." Hook shrugged.
"You took me.. And you don't know what you plan to do with me??" Kassidy practically shouted. He glared up at her and she sat back into her chair.
"Just let me go." She said softly.
"Why would I do that?" He asked.
"Because, my father and his men will find me."
"And like the last Royal ship to cross our path, they will be blown out of the water." Hook smirked. Kassidy looked up at him.
"That..ship.."
"The one you planned to swim to. You missed much during your slumber."
"You killed those people? My people?!" She demanded.
"Aye. well, aside from the few that are in the hold, they will be executed tomorrow."
"Why are you doing this?? Whatever my father owed you, I will pay it in double!" Kassidy screamed.
"If you still think this is about some petty debt your father owes me you are foolish!" Hook boomed and stood from the table.
"Then tell me! Whatever it is, Whatever was done I will fix. Please do not harm those men."
"You can't bloody fix it!" He shouted and walked out of the Cabin slamming the door behind him.
"Change of plans! They die at noon!"
Kassidy flinched at the door slamming and the anger in his tone. What the hell had her father really done to this man?
