CHLOE'S POV

"Newton! wake up" I said sobbing my trembling now I tried lifting him up from the back, fell down tried again

Lying there on the floor he was heavier to lift, but my body trembled with fear and panic making me lose balance each time I tried

Finally lifting him a bit off the ground and dragging him through the secret doorway we found earlier

Hormones pumping through my veins mixed with mixed feelings coupled with fear and pain all at once nearly made me dizzy
I dragged him like a drunkard trying to cross a busy road

Tears filled my eyes distorting my vision, the passageway was lit by a faint blue fluorescent light,
Before every turn I waited to listen for footsteps, voices

I could hear sounds of glass shattering,heavy footsteps  and people screaming for help most speaking in gibberish was getting fainter as I moved closer outside

"Check in there they must be in there, we can't let them leave this facility! " I heard the voice of one of the guards issue out commands with a voice as cold as ice

"You over there check the surveillance cameras now! "

I hid behind the door, dragged newton at the side if the office table in between rows of boxes

Hoping if anyone gets in the room they'd not look over there

I wasn't crying out loud though I've always been a silent crier, but it was important I made sure I never did , I told myself to be quiet to be calm to be the brave one

the beating of my heart was so fast and hard I feared It might explode

The tears I couldn't hold back , tears they say speaks from the heart

My body was burning up, like fire deep in a volcano ready to erupt

I looked down at he's face as I put him to the ground to open the door he looked like he was just taking a nap, if only that were the case

Grabbing him from the back with a bear like hug I pulled him out, he's body was getting colder every minute

I knew that wasn't normal ,but non of what just happened is

"Newton! " I called again pausing as if to wait for a response, one that never came back

"Please don't die on me... Please stay with me" I said in a sobbing voice, my body trembled looking at he's face now pale

I could still feel he's heartbeat, so o knew he was alive in there

I just wanted him to open he's eyes, those eyes that looked St me with love and care

Eyes that sparkled and makes me feel special in a strange way

I was out the back door now, dragging him on the floor wasn't all that easy, he was way heavier than me but I couldn't let go no I wouldn't

"D! Where you followed" Chloe asked me in a whisper she had to go bring the car closer

"I don't think so, I didn't hear anyone though"

"OK! How is he? " she asked with a shaky voice, you could tell she was frightened

"Still the same, but we need to get him to the hospital, he's getting paler ever minute"

She took his left arm and rest it around her neck, I did the same on the right side and we carried him to the car

He's head was on my laps at the back seat, Emma started the car and drove off

I glaced at the construction site, it was dark and looked just like any other abandoned property

Silent as a graveyard, it'll be impossible to imagine the terror , the inhumanity that took place inside

There must be some sort of device there that absorbs sounds coming from inside

Emma was struggling from tearing up, she was good at pretending to be ok

But by now I could see a tear rolling down her cheek

She refused to even look at him, maybe she didn't want to break down

Maybe she didn't want to believe it either , I don't know except she kept driving, even turned on the radio

Whoa what happened to newton( I'm really in need of a nickname for him, any suggestions?) while they we're at the construction site.. 😕We'll find out in the next chapter 😛😁
