Holiday Special

Merry Christmas everyone! I've decided to do this year's Holiday Special on No One's Perfect, since I already did one on Hit and Run. Hope you enjoy!

The Prompt: In which a shit ton of bad coincidences collapse into one big mess. High school AU, and yes, some stuff is changed up from the original story

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A whistle blew, and the ball was thrown into the air. A boy sighed to himself as he watched them swim from the bleachers. He watched the players dribble the ball across the court, yearning to dive in himself. He paused, considering the idea. It was still winter, which meant that it would be a long time before the outdoor courts opened.

Finally, the play finished, and a brown-haired boy made his way up the bleachers.

"You should join us instead of just watching, Scorpio," Pisces said, walking over as he picked up a water bottle. Scorpio shook his head, the same thing he did every time they had this conversation.

"My answer isn't changing," he replied, grabbing his bag.

"I don't understand why you won't play," Pisces said, standing in front of him. "You used to love it. We would go to the basketball court all the time." Scorpio ran a hand through his dark hair, sighing.

"I lost interest, Pisces." he said exasperatedly, moving to walk around him. However, Pisces shifted so that he was once again in Scorpio's way.

"But you never told me why." Pisces said.

"Just go practice." Scorpio said bitterly. Pisces reached forwards, as if to grab him, then hesitated and backed away.

"I'm sorry." Pisces mumbled, his voice softening.

"It wasn't your fault. I just wasn't good enough." Scorpio responded briskly before storming away. He walked down the hall, attempting to calm himself. Finally, he paused, staring back down the hallway and considering if he should apologize, though he wasn't sure he could do it without snapping at him again. He scratched his arm nervously before shaking his head. Taking a deep breath, he kept walking, staring down at his shoes. He would apologize to Pisces later.

"Leo, I can't just keep on letting you out of detention," Mr. Lionheart said.

"It was just falling asleep in class, uncle," Leo scoffed. Mr. Lionheart sighed in exasperation. "It's not like I committed a crime," he continued.

"Knowing you, you probably did commit one already." Mr. Lionheart shot back.

"That hurts, Uncle P. Right here," Leo said, pointing at his chest.

"Just go home, Leo." Mr. Lionheart said.

"Yes, sir!" Leo said, giving a mock salute. Before his uncle could reply, he had already left the room and was walking down the hall. Soon, he noticed he was being followed. He turned around. A boy trailed behind him, and was clutching a backpack in his hands. He shoved it at him.

"You forgot this in Mrs. Davis's room," he said.

"Thanks, Virgo," Leo said, grabbing the backpack and slipping it over his arms. Then he swung an arm around the shorter boy's shoulders.

"Don't touch me." Virgo said.

"We should hang out tonight," Leo said as if he didn't even hear him, arm still wrapped around Virgo.

"Can't."

"Oh, come on, man."

"I have to watch my sister," Virgo explained.

"Twelve is old enough to be left at home alone." Leo countered.

"Not old enough to my dad."

"Bring her along then."

"I got grounded last time I brought her along."

"So?" Leo smirked.

"Ready to go?" Sagittarius smiled, leaning against the doorway.

"Hm?" Gemini blinked his toffee eyes blankly as he walked out of the school.

"The mall, remember? You know, you pick out a gift, I buy it, wrap it up, and at your birthday on Sunday I give to you and you act all surprised," Sagittarius explained, pushing herself off the door and walking alongside him. Gemini grimaced and scratched the back of his head nervously.

"Uh, oh yeah, right. Um, about that. I have plans to go ice skating with your cousin."

Sagittarius narrowed her eyes, pausing in her step. "Aries hates ice skating," she said.

"Sorry, Sagittarius. I'll make it up to you." Gemini sighed.

"No, you won't," the light haired girl said crossly.

"Yes, I will."

"You never, though! I've accepted that you're dating the devil, but every time we make plans she gets in the way!" Sagittarius yelled.

"Sagi, I-"

"Look, I'll just stay home."

"Sagi, I promise-"

"Someone jealous?" A mocking voice said behind the two. Sagittarius spun around to none other than her red-haired cousin, Aries.

"Go away, Aries," Sagittarius growled.

"Pretty sure you should be the one going away," Aries said, smirking at her cousin. The two didn't quite exactly look alike. Sagittarius had blonde hair and a slim build, while Aries' hair was a flaming red and it was obvious she worked out often.

Aries smiled at Sagittarius and linked arms with Gemini. "I came to talk to my boyfriend, so shoo."

"Well, I'm talking with my friend." Sagittarius turned back to Gemini, grabbing his arm and pulling him down the hall. She was suddenly jerked back when Aries pulled on his other arm.

"Hey! Don't play tug-of-war with me!" Gemini exclaimed. However, his words fell on deaf ears as the two were already screaming at each other. Aries reached out to grab her cousin's hair but having none of that, Sagittarius punched her, sending the red haired girl sprawling into the snow. Gemini watched, unsure of what to do.

"You're such jerk, man." A voice suddenly said behind him. Gemini whirled around to see Scorpio, walking out of the school with a scowl on his face.

"What do you want?" Gemini snapped, his gaze hardening. Scorpio shrugged.

"I figured you would abandon Sagittarius again and I'd have to pick up the pieces and invite her to hang out with Taurus and I."

"You need to stay away from Taurus. You're gonna get her involved with the wrong crowd." Gemini said, taking a step closer towards the black-haired boy.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I'm clean now!" Scorpio yelled.

"Like I can trust anything you say." Gemini scoffed.

"Says the guy who helps his girlfriend bully his best friend." Scorpio retorted.

Gemini's eyes narrowed, and the next thing he knew, he was punching Scorpio in the face while yelling at him. Scorpio shouted back as he swung his arm.

------

"Planning on leaving at all? Not that I don't enjoy your company, Capricorn."

"Huh?" Capricorn said as she swung around in her chair to face Mr. Clark.

"I asked you if you were leaving soon. My daughter has a recital tonight."

"Oh, sorry," Capricorn said, glancing at the clock through her glasses. Had it already been an hour already? "I'm done anyways," she said.

"You sure? I can still stay a bit longer?" Her teacher asked.

"Yeah, I'm good," she said, turning off her computer. She gave him a smile. "Thanks anyway."

"How are you liking it so far here?" Mr. Clark asked. "Two months, right?"

"Yeah. It's been okay," Capricorn said, slinging her backpack over her shoulder.

"That's good to hear." Mr. Clark smiled. "Well, see you on Monday, Capricorn."

Capricorn just smiled in response and hurried out the door and down the hall.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"We should hang out tonight, binge watch something," Cancer said, glancing through her phone and twirling a lock of her black hair around a finger. Taurus closed her locker with a sigh.

"I want to, but I already told Scorpio I'd hang out with him tonight."

"He can come with us!" Cancer suggested.

"I don't think he'd want to be in a room with us gossiping, especially one that Gemini has been in," Taurus replied.

"True, though I still don't get why they hate each other." Cancer sighed.

"I don't think they do either," Taurus said. "By the way, do you know where Scorpio is?" Cancer shook her head.

"Mayb-" she was cut off by yelling coming from outside the window. She glanced outside to see four figures furiously battling in the snow covered lawn of the school.

"I think we found him." Taurus sighed, running her hand through her chocolate colored hair before running down the hall.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"That's a nice sketch." Libra smiled down at the paper in front of him. "Though...what is it exactly?" Across the table, Aquarius sighed as she grabbed the paper, crumpling it up and throwing it into the trash.

"You could have just told me what it was. No need to waste your hard work," Libra noted as the black-haired girl across from him grabbed another sheet of paper.

"I only spent five minutes on it," Aquarius said, raising an eyebrow.

"Five minutes of hard work," Libra replied. Both of them looked up as the door opened and Pisces walked in.

"Late again, Pisces. How am I supposed to tutor you if you keep showing up late?" Libra scolded. Pisces shrugged as he slid into the seat next to Aquarius.

"Coach made you practice too long again?" Aquarius asked.

"Yeah, we have a match against Northwood soon." Pisces sighed. "You know how big the rivalry is..."

"You could always just skip practice," Aquarius suggested, grinning. Pisces smiled.

"And get benched? No way," he said.

"Or, you could always-" Libra started.

"No," Pisces cut him off flatly.

"Movie night at my place tonight. Who's buying the food?" Aquarius changed the subject. Both Pisces and Aquarius glanced across the table at Libra. Libra sighed.

"When will I get to stop buying the food?" He asked.

"When one of us finally becomes richer than you." Aquarius smirked, grabbing her bag and standing up. The other two boys did the same.

"Race you home? Winner gets to pick the movie," Pisces said, walking towards the door. Aquarius smiled.

"You're on. 3...2...1...GO!" she shouted, and the two took off. Libra shook his head before jogging after them.

"Idiots."

------

"Here we go again," Cancer sighed as she ran out the door. Taurus ran forwards, bumping into a girl with brown hair and glasses, accidentally sending her stuff flying. Paying her no mind, Taurus rushed towards Scorpio and Gemini, desperately trying to pull them apart while Cancer helped the girl up. "Sorry, Capricorn." Cancer apologized for her friend.

Capricorn looked around and cursed when she saw that her laptop had gotten thrown into the midst of the fighting cousins. Hurriedly rushing towards her precious baby, she pushed both girls out of the way of her laptop. Sagittarius stumbled back a few steps while Aries fell into a pile of snow.

"You stupid bitch!" Aries yelled, standing up. "My pants are all wet now!"

"What the hell?" Sagittarius shouted at Capricorn, her anger shifting to the shorter girl in front of her. She shoved Capricorn back before making a fist. Cancer rushed forwards to the three as Capricorn raised her laptop as a weapon.

"Ow!" Taurus screamed as one of the boys managed to hit her in the face while trying to fight the other. Scorpio looked over for a second, giving Gemini time to smash a snowball into his face.

"You okay?" a male voice suddenly said, its owner pulling her away from the fight. Taurus nodded at Leo, who had spoken. "Idiots. They hurt you and keep on going." Leo muttered, examining her face. He stormed over to Gemini and Scorpio. Taurus moved to pull him back, but Virgo grabbed her arm while shaking his head.

"Don't. There's no stopping him when he gets angry." Virgo warned.

"I don't see why he's mad. It's not even his problem." Taurus wondered as Leo pushed Gemini back into a tree and punched him in the gut.

"He doesn't like watching peop-" he was cut off by Pisces suddenly rounding the corner of the building, slamming him into the ground.

"Virgo!" Leo yelled as he quickly rushed towards his friend, pulling him up.

"I'm fine, Leo." Virgo said, pushing Leo away. Leo turned to punch Pisces, but Aquarius shoved his arm just in time.

"Don't hurt my him!" Aquarius yelled as Leo stood up.

"Why, you little-" Leo was cut off by Libra running towards the group.

"Stop it, you idiots!" he yelled, but was drowned out by the rest of the chaos.

"ENOUGH!" Bellowed a voice that everyone was familiar with. All eyes turned to Principal Orion as everyone froze. "In my office, now."
