Prologue
-------
It was a sunny day, two boys were sitting in a field in the middle of the forest, one had green curly hair, as green as the leaves on the nearby trees, with beautiful green eyes that were bright and had lots of life in it, with freckles that complimented his pink-dusted cheeks.
The other had ash-blonde hair, that looked like sand from the nearby beach, with red eyes that looked as red as blood, filled with life and mischief.
The forest was quite.
There were no other creatures in sight, there were no buildings or any other things that harmed wildlife, there were no people screeching or laughing or making any noise in general, there was just the wind, passing by, rustling leaves as it left.
Even the boys (Who were quite young, may I add) were as quite as a passing cat.
They both were sitting in a large bed of flowers, that filled up the whole field.
The boy with the green eyes who went by the name 'Izuku Midoriya', sat on a spot with barely any flowers on it, because; "Plants can feel 'stress' (Whatever that means), and I don't wanna hurt anything!" And he was making flower crowns for him and his best friend, which was honestly hypocritical, but we won't talk about that.
Meanwhile, the ash-blonde who went by the name 'Katsuki Bakugo' was sitting mercilessly on a bunch of beautiful flowers, whilst watching the other boy intently.
Finally, after a long, comfortable silence, Izuku Midoriya finally spoke up,
"Say, Kacchan, why do people hurt our Earth? It's so beautiful and peaceful here, why did the humans come and ruin everything?" Whilst still making his flower crown.
After a while, the ash-blonde responded with a shrug and a hum.
There was a comfortable silence again.
Finally, Izuku finished Katsukis flower crown, and placed it upon his head.
The crown was beautiful, it had roses, orchids, and Gardenias, along with a small bit of orange blossoms.
"Say, Kacchan, why do people fall in love?" Asked Izuku, not changing his tone up a bit, for he was too busy with his own crown.
"I... don't know." Responded Katsuki, reluctantly.
Silence.
"Kacchan, why does the universe choose everything for us? Can't we choose anything for ourselves? Isn't the fact that the universe controls us so much... Kinda sad?"
Asked Midoriya, finally looking up, with something in his eyes that Katsuki could not quite understand.
Unbeknownst to Izuku, Katsuki was... quite taken aback.
"Why does this kid ask so many questions about things that we can't answer? For the love of God, we're four! We're not supposed to think about this stuff yet! Just how much time does this boy have?!?"
"I... don't know. I mean, I am still very young... so are you... We haven't experienced much yet."
Izuku stares.
He then hummed, looked down, and started focusing on his flower crown a lot more.
Awkward silence...
"Izuku, why do you ask about these things...?"
Izuku stopped.
After a while, he answered with an "I don't know, either." And continued what he was doing.
"Say, Kacchan, do you know what a 'soulmate' is?" Asked Izuku in a monotone manner.
Katsuki sighed, quite loudly, might I add.
"Izuku, you should pay more attention to class..."
"S-sorry... WAIT! You didn't answer me! Do YOU even know what a soulmate is?!?" Screeched Izuku, who thought he had a point.
Rest In Peace, the peace in the field.
"Y-yeah! Of course I do, Izuku! A soulmate is your fated pair!" Answered Katsuki, quite quickly.
"Oh, so it's someone the universe chose for you..." muttered Izuku.
Katsuki did not hear that.
Silence.
"Do you know what the 'Hanahaki disease' is?" Asked Izuku, yet again.
"Ummm, I think that it is a disease that makes you puke up roses or something..."
"Why do you ask?" Asked Katsuki, with a lot of curiosity in his voice.
"Well, I heard mommy talk about it once before... Apparently, she once had it, and then she got surgery." Responded Izuku, not realizing anything,
"Huh..."
Silence.
"Also, why ROSES of al, things? I mean, they are SO overrated...!" Exclaimed Izuku suddenly, raising his voice.
"Says the boy who is an All might fanatic, who also put a bunch of roses in my crown." Noted the boy quite sarcastically.
"...Okay, good point." Pouted Izuku, with a tone that hinted at his embarrassment.
Silence.
"Say, when was the time period people start seeing their strings again?"
"Only three to seven year olds can see them, after that, you stop seeing them."
"Oh... So, we're supposed to see our strings by now?" Muttered Izuku, with a disappointed tone that Katsuki failed to notice.
"Yeah!" Exclaimed Katsuki, whose eyes had lit up.
Then, Katsuki quickly glanced around, before whispering to Izuku, "Hey, wanna know a secret?" "Sure, but, you do realize that this is our secret place, and that no one else is here, right?" Whispered Izuku back.
"Oh... oops!" Muttered Katsuki, (Whom was obviously very embarrassed, might I add.)
"So, uhhh... wanna know the reason why I always run away...?"
"...Sure." Responded Izuku, who was quite concerned.
"Because of my string! I always follow it, cause I wanna find my mate!" Responded Katsuki, quite excitedly.
"...Oh." Muttered Izuku, who felt something strange that he could not quite put his finger around...
Finally, Izuku finished up his crown.
It consisted of;
Lillies, roses, Carnations, chrysanthemums, orchids, and hydrangeas.
"So, I'm supposed to start seeing strings at the age of three, right?"
Asked Izuku, with a tone that concerned Katsuki.
But, he answered, reluctantly...
"Yeah... everyone around our age can see them, and there are no late bloomers... Why do you ask?" Katsuki asked, quite hesitantly.
It was no longer a sunny day, for it was cloudy.
If you listened closely, you could hear faint yet obviously obnoxious chatters from humans in the background, it looks like they'll find the two boys' safe haven, claim it as a place they own, and then sell it to some obnoxious rich guy who'll do-who-knows-what to this beautiful place.
Izuku looked straight into Katsukis eyes, which had dulled and turned from beautiful, green orbs into a dull, sickly green, which sent shivers down Katsukis spine, and asked in a weak voice;
"Then why can't I see my own string...?"
