Chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Arrival
I went and sat back down in my seat. Meagan just acted as if she had never given me anything. Borris had just woken up and thy were chatting like a married couple would. I had to say I felt a bit safe knowing Norris didn't know about our 'meeting'
We still had a few hours left on the flight, so I decided to pull out my IPod and listen to some of my music. The first song that comes on I smile at, because it's my favorite. The song is "Misery Loves My Company" by Three Days Grace. I sit back and listen to the lyrics as they make their way through the headphones and into my eardrums.
I am not alone,
not beaten down just yet,
and I am not afraid of the voices in my head,
down the darkest road,
something follows me,
I am not alone,
cause misery loves my company
I just shut my eyes as more and more words flew through the headphones. Eventually the words faded and my eyes were shut.
I was asleep.
-Dream-
There I was standing in an airport. But I wasn't there to see someone. I was glad I didn't see anyone I knew anywhere around me. I was here, going home, from my trip to Felix's. But something seemed off.
I just walked straight towards a cab and told the driver my address. He just sort of smiled and nodded.
"Boy what crappy weather" I stated trying to start a conversation.
"Yeah, but it will probably clear up soon" He replied.
"So how much do you make driving a cab?" I asked.
"A decent amount. It's enough to get by" he said not looking at me.
A long moment of silence followed his response. I couldn't help but think this guy was a little too friendly. But I brushed it off as I heard his voice.
"Here we are"
"Thank you mister" I said leaving the cab.
I looked up at where he dropped me off and it was a blank lot. This guy must be a bit confused. I turned around but he was gone. I was scared now. I took in my surroundings and noticed there was nothing around me. I was all alone in the middle of no where.
I started to scream but no words were heard by anyone. I stood shaking in fear knowing I was alone where no one would find me. I knew this would be where I would die. And I just layed down and let things crawl on my and my mouth dry out. This went abnormally fast, but I was on the brink of death.
-Now I know how those kids in Corpse Party felt- I though as my vision became blurry.
I relaxed a little as my vision became all white. I knew I had died and no one knew I was our there. Felix will have thought I knew him off and be mad at me without knowing. He is the last thing on my mind before I was no longer a part of the living world.
-End Dream Sequence-
I awoke in a sweat. I saw people leaving and realized I had arrived at my destination as well. I groggily stood and pulled my bag from the over-head compartment. I walked down the isle towards the exit and left the plane.
I decided to text Felix and tell him I was here. After that dream I would rather he pick me up than a random taxi cab.
~I've landed Felix~
~Awesome. I'll come and get you, if you want~
~Okay. I'm gate B~
~I'll be there soon~
~Take your time. I don't want to rush you~
~Dont Worry Cry. I'll be there ASAP~
~Okay I'll be here~
I then locked my phone and went to get some food in the food court. I was eating a foot long Subway sandwich when my phone vibrated.
~Where are you?~
~Shit, be right there~
I grabbed the rest of my sand which and left. I was sprinting back to Gate B as fast as I could. When I got there I spotted my Swedish friend. He had long blonde hair (for a guy) and wire those green headphones around his neck.
I went up and tapped him on the shoulder. He spun so fast he almost fell down. I had to laugh a little, he was so cute when he was embarased.
"Ready to go Cry?"
"Sure Pewds, let me get my stuff"
"Okay"
I left to grab my luggage and eat a little more of my sandwich. The foot long was a Spicy Italian with lettuce and Italian dressing. Kind of like a mini salad on a sandwich. It tasted so good. I found my bags on the conveyer belt. I picked them up and turned around but Pewds was right behind me so I hit his cheat with my head.
"Owww watch it" I said kind of mad.
"Sorry Cry" I heard his voice and realized he had been the one I hit.
"Its cool Pewds, just next time, stay a little further back" I said picking up the things that fell.
We walked to his car and he opened the trunk as I threw my things inside. I then walked over and climbed into the passenger seat. I started the car and we started, what seemed like, the longest drive ever toward his home.
"Cry how's life been?" He asked.
"Its been okay. nothing worth talking about" which was a lie.
I had been all but disowned by my parents and I had almost lost my job. The two things I need most right now are things that are slowly slipping away.
"Well life here has been fun. Me and Marzia have done so many cool things since we moved here" he said with a smile obviously remembering all the good times they had.
I dazed off look out the window. As the trees and buildings zipped by I started thinking if how life was a few months ago. I won't get into it now, but I was in a very dark place.
"We're here" his voice broke me from my trance.
"Okay, thank you for picking me up" I said as my blush was hidden by my mask.
"Anytime, Cry" he said getting out to go unlock the front door.
I got out an opened his trunk to get my things. I got my bags and closed his trunk then went to his front door. I smelled his scent from the porch and when I finally passed the threshold I was overwhelmed with it.
