NAOMI'S OFFICE
[ TIME UNKNOWN ]

"It would be more helpful if they knew everything." Castiel is once again seated in Naomi's brightly lit office.

"They cannot be trusted." Naomi says.

"But–" Says Cass.

"Lie, Castiel. Tell them what we discussed."

WENDY RICE'S HOUSE
[ ☼ ]

"They're looking for a parchment that would allow them to decipher Crowley's half of the Demon Tablet without a Prophet." Castiel mimics Naomi's words.

"A demonic decodering? In Crowley's hands? Awesome." Dean says.

"The crypts were, uh, lost over time. Only those closest to Lucifer knew their whereabouts."

"Then how did Crowley find them?" Sam asks.

"His demons have been possessing locals who may have some special knowledge." Says Cass.

"That would explain the crazy room at Ann's house." Elena says. "But how did they know where to start looking in the first place?"

"I don't know. I'm hoping the strange-haired demon in the kitchen is more knowledgeable than the others I interrogated." Castiel gets up from the easy chair and goes into the kitchen through the swinging door.

"Well, he puts the 'ass' in 'Cass', huh?" Dean asks.

"He's definitely off." Sam says.

"Off? He hasn't been right since he got back from Purgatory." Dean says. "We still don't know how he got out of there."

"I don't know, Dean. If he's so sketchy, then why were you praying to him?" Sam asks.

"You know, I can hear you both. I am a celestial being."

WENDY RICE'S KITCHEN
[ ☼ ]

"Sam and Dean Winchester. And the little Witch." Wendy is tied to the kitchen table, each hand is fastened separately to a side of the table, palms down. She chuckles. They lean against the sink, facing her as Castiel stands to the side. "Oh, the thoughts she had about you two. Mostly you, Sam. What can I say? She has a thing for smutton chops."

"All right, you douchebag, listen–" Dean starts. Castiel immediately stabs his angel blade through the back of one of her hands.

"Aah!" She screams, pants, and whimpers as Castiel pulls the blade out of her hand, sparks flying from the weapon.

"Who told you about the crypts?"

"I thought angels were supposed to be the good cops." Wendy says as Castiel impales her other hand. "Aah!" She screams, the wound sparking. "Wait! Stop! Stop! We have a hostage!" Castiel wrenches the blade out of her hand, she's panting and gasping from the pain of the angel blade. "It's one of Crowley's pets. She's at the Murray Hotel, down by the interstate. She knows the towns where all the crypts are buried. She saw them all back in the day."

"And she told you about the parchment?" Sam asks.

NAOMI'S OFFICE

Naomi and Castiel look at each other, worried.

WENDY RICE'S KITCHEN
[ ☼ ]

"What parchment?!" Wendy yells.

"Hey. Hey! Think he's the only bad cop in this room? Stop lying!" Dean yells. "We know what you're really looking for."

"No. I am telling you, we're looking..." Wendy starts.

NAOMI'S OFFICE
[ TIME UNKNOWN ]

"Kill it!" Naomi yells.

WENDY RICE'S KITCHEN
[ ☼ ]

"...for–aah!" Wendy yells as Castiel stabs the angel blade into her chest, sparking and the demon dies.

"Cass!" Sam yells. "What the hell was that?!"

"It told us what we needed." Cass says.

"No, she didn't! You can't just–" Sam starts.

"I started this hunt without you because I didn't want anything to slow me down. We have to get to the motel now."

"Hold on a second–" Elena starts. We hear the rustling of angel wings and Castiel is gone.

"Cass!" Sam and Dean yell.

"Cass? Cass? Damn it." Dean says as they rush out. "Go. Go. Go."

MURRAY HOTEL
[ ☼ ]

The Impala races into view, tires squeal, then screech to a halt. The engine shuts off as Dean, Elena and Sam jump out of the car and look up as we see a flash of light coming from a third floor window. "There. There." Sam says. They race for the hotel, still looking up towards the window.

They run through the hallway, stopping outside a closed door. There's another flash of light coming from around the door and we hear a cry of pain. They burst into the room as a demon with burned out eyes topples onto the body of another dead demon whose eyes have also been burned out. Castiel stands there.

"Thanks for waiting." Sam says.

"The hostage is in there." Cass nods his head towards a closed door and Dean opens the door. We see Meg, with long, blond hair and a bruised, bloody face. She is tied up, sitting on the floor.

"Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?" She asks.

Later, Elena and the gang sit in front of Meg. "So, I got to ask. Um..." Dean starts. Meg is now seated on a bed and we get a close-up of her battered, bloody face. "What's up with the hair?"

Meg is sitting cross legged on the bed with Sam and Dean in chairs at the foot of the bed. Castiel and Elena stand facing them, Cass' arms across his chest, his back to the window.

"What?" Dean asks.

"Aww. Thanks for noticing, Dean. But this wasn't my idea. It was Crowley's." Meg says. "And it's just another reason I want to stab him in the face."

"Wait a second. You've been telling Crowley the location of Lucifer's crypts." Sam says

"What can I say? I needed a break from the constant torture. And I did visit them all during my time with Yellow Eyes." She says. "But don't worry. I haven't exactly been giving them the Glengarry leads."

"You mean you've been lying to them?" Cas asks.

"I just get them in the ballpark. Enough time's passed and enough's changed that they bought it."

"Why lie?" Elena asks.

"Buy myself some time, Princess. Try to find a way to get free." Says Meg.

"Wait–so... A bunch of innocent people died so you could... buy yourself some time?" Sam asks.

"Hi. I'm Meg. I'm a demon."

"So, what have they found?" Asks Castiel.

"Bupkis. Every crypt's been one Al Capone's vault after another. And on top of that, someone kept picking up the trail and icing demons." Meg says. "I'm guessing that was you, Castiel. But Crowley just keeps sending more. He's hell-bent on..."

NAOMI'S OFFICE
[ TIME UNKNOWN ]

"She's gonna tell them the truth." Castiel says. "Do I have to kill her?"

"She does know the location of the crypts." Naomi says. "But working with a demon is... unclean."

"Well, we could use her–as Crowley did." Castiel says.

"Agreed."

MURRAY HOTEL
[ ☼ ]

"...finding that Angel Tablet." Meg says.

"Wait a second. Did you just say 'Angel Tablet'?" Sam asks.

"You know, I get why Crowley calls you 'moose' now. Yes–'Angel Tablet'. Crowley found out Lucifer had it, figures it's stashed in a crypt."

"Well, this is news to me, as well. Demons I interrogated, they must have been lying about their true intentions." Cass says.

"Really? 'Cause I saw you 'Zero Dark Thirty' that demon." Dean says. "You were more than persuasive."

"You're both missing the point. I lied to them, which means they're digging in the wrong place." Meg says. "But not for long. They'll be back here soon. So, who's up for fleeing?"

"She's right. We need to find those crypts before they do. Meg, you're the only one who's been there." Sam says.

"We need your help." Elena says.

"Any of you dummies got a map?" Meg chuckles.

MORTON'S BASEMENT
[ ☼ ]

"There. That's where the crypt was." Meg says. Dean, Elena, Sam, Meg, and Cass are clustered around the miniature village in the basement.

"What's there now?" Sam asks.

"Do I look like Google to you? None of these buildings were here way back in the day. Figure it out, genius. Is there any booze in this dump?" She walks away.

"He lied to us." Dean says. Sam is seated at the table, working on the laptop. Dean and Elena stand next to him.

"Yeah, maybe. I can kind of understand why. I mean, an Angel Tablet?" Sam chuckles. "If the Demon Tablet can shut the Gates of Hell, what can the Angel Tablet do?"

MORTON LIVING ROOM
[ ☼ ]

"These wounds have festered." Castiel wraps gauze around one of Meg's wrists.

"You really do know how to make a girl's nethers quiver, don't you?" Meg is sitting on the couch, holding an open bottle of booze. She's been cleaned up a bit.

"I am aware of how to do that. Although it doesn't usually involve cleaning wounds."

"Why are you so sweet on me, Clarence?" Meg asks.

"I don't know. And I still don't know who Clarence is."

"Would it kill you to watch a movie, read a book?" She takes a swig directly from the bottle of alcohol.

"A movie, no. But a book with the proper spells–yeah, it could, theoretically, kill me." Castiel says.

"You know, you're much cuter when you're shutting up. So, which Cass are you now? Original make and model or crazy town?"

"I'm just me." He says.

"So, your noodle's back in order?" Meg asks.

"Yeah, my... noodle remembers everything. I think it's a pretty good noodle."

"Really? You remember everything?" Meg looks fondly at Castiel.

"If you're referring to the pizza man... Yes, I remember the pizza man." Cass says. "And it's a good memory."

MORTON'S BASEMENT
[ ☼ ]

"Here goes." Sam highlights a section of the street map on the computer and superimposes it onto a satellite view of the corresponding area. "All right. According to this, the crypt has to be below an abandoned building."

"Good times. You really think we can trust, uh, Meg-stiel?" Dean asks.

"No. But what choice do we have?" Elena asks.

MORTON LIVING ROOM
[ ☼ ]

"You ever miss the Apocalypse?" Meg's drinking the liquor straight from the bottle.

"No. Why would I miss the end of times?" Asks Castiel.

"I miss the simplicity. I was bad. You were good. Life was easier. Now it's all so messy." Meg says. "I'm kind of good, which sucks. And you're kind of bad–which is actually all manner of hot. We survive this... I'm gonna order some pizza and we're gonna move some furniture around. You understand?"

"No, I-I–" Castiel starts and Meg smiles suggestively. "...wait–actually... Yes, I–"

"All right. Let's roll, campers." Dean says as he, Elena and Sam come into the room. They look at Meg and Castiel staring at each other, the brothers leave.

MURRAY HOTEL
[ ☼ ]

We hear the creak as the room door is opened, our POV is through someone's legs and we see the bodies of the two dead demons laying on the floor. The legs walk forward and it's the third demon who ran away with Wendy's map.

The demon flips open his cellphone with a beep. "Sir? I, uh, searched the site top to bottom. It's empty. No, there's no crypt there. And, uh, that's not all. It's just me now, sir." He says. Demon # 3 is pacing the room, talking on the cellphone. "I, um... We may have lost Meg." POV standing behind the demon still talking on the cellphone, but now there's someone behind him and that person puts down his cellphone. "Sir?" Crowley stands behind Demon # 3. "Hello, sir?"

"Just to be clear..." Crowley says as Demon # 3 is startled that he is behind him, he slowly lowers his cellphone. "...you can't find a hole in the ground... Your coworkers have met with an untimely demise... ...and you've lost my favorite chew toy." Crowley now is facing Demon # 3. "Brilliant. What's that old expression?" Crowley pulls out a weapon. "'If you want something done right...'" He stabs Demon # 3 who dies with the flash of sparking lights. "...blah, blah, blah." He pulls the bloody weapon out of the dead demon, it's an angel blade.

ABANDONED WAREHOUSE
[ ☾]

"So, this is it. Basement?" Meg asks.

"All right, Cass, Elena and I will head in and get our Indiana Jones on." Dean says. "Sam, you stay outside with Meg."

"What?" Sam asks.

"We got this." Dean says.

"What are you talking about, Dean? I'm not letting you go in there alone." Sam says.

"He won't be alone." Castiel says.

"That's not what I mean. Meg can hang here, watch our backs." Sam says.

"Oh, what? Now you trust Meg?"

"Hey, I got you this far." She says.

"Shut up." Dean says.

"Shut up, Meg." Sam says. "Dean–"

"Sam, I saw your bloody rag in the trash can, okay?" Dean says.

"That wasn't–" Sam starts.

"Stop. Just stop. Sam, we don't know what's in there, okay?" Dean says. "And you almost let a demon get the best of you back there."

"I'm fine."

"No, you're not fine. You haven't been fine since the first trial. That's why I called Cass." Dean says.

"Trial?" Meg asks.

"Shut up, Meg." Sam and Dean say simultaneously.

"Dean, I'm telling you–I'm okay."

"No, you're not. Sam... You're damaged in ways even I can't heal." Cass says. "Dean's right. You should stay here and protect Meg."

"Since when do I need protecting?" Meg asks.

"Since you were held captive and tortured for over a year."

"Touché." She says.

"All right, we'll be back." Elena says as she and Castiel walk away. Dean hands the demon-killing knife to Sam then walks away too.
