Chapter 88: Clockwork Part 13

Jess POV

"Good job, Cassie." I complimented the Chaos Sorcerer as we both stood on the blood-soaked ground of a destroyed village.

"I've always been a fan of art," Cassie smiled back as she erected another cluster of red crystals that stretched upwards, and melted into the ground. "This red canvas that we stand on was perfect for my crystal structures, but I wish that I was the one who stained the ground red."

And so my Anchor is almost done. I had Blink teleport Cassie and me to all twenty-four destroyed villages, and the Chaos Sorcerer herself tapped into the limitless energy from Limbo to create these massive crystal clusters, but in her own unique style.

Beautiful, the only word that pops into my mind when I see her work; Cassie is an amazing artist, a passion for it even. Yet Cassie's former friends back in her world always mocked her for it; artists are so unappreciated.

We snapped out of our blissful stupor when the ground shook. A large hand burst out from the ground, with multiple layers of exoskeleton bone plates that completely cover it; big enough to easily crush two people if they were standing on one another.

The large hand pressed against the bloody ground as Cassie and me stood back, watching the hand use the ground as support for the being to drag himself out from underground. The sigh the he let out indicated that this person is a male as he took a step towards me.

The ground shook a little for every step he took due to his large body, yet his actual feet were hooves that were similar to a horse. The tainted blood from the Clockwork Fortress started to rise out of the hole he made.

He continued to walk towards me; every movement caused the layers of bone plates that cover his entire body to grind against each other, leaving specs of powdered bone in the air as some drizzled down into the snow.

It didn't matter to him as the bone plates would always regenerate, and have a melting appearance. He stopped in front of me, easily towering over my burned body, as I had to strain my neck to look at his hollow eye sockets; I can see his sunken eyes changing from within.

His head is covered in thick, melted bones that have hardened; cracks formed along his cheeks, his jaw became loose enough to speak. "... It's done."

"Good job, Slab," I nodded.

[Slab] Level 634

Class: Elementalist (x5)

Title: The Immovable Sloth

Species: Chimera [DNA: Ocelot, Wolf, Fish, Squid, Bat, Horse, Chicken, Sheep, Spider, and 99 other chimeras]

Elemental Affinities: [Miniscule] Ignis (Fire), [Miniscule] Terra (Earth), [Miniscule] Lux (Lightning), [Miniscule] Aer (Air), [Miniscule] Aqua (Water), [High] Ordo (Order), [High] Perdito (Entropy).

Sub-Elemental Affinities: [Max] Digital (Scorch), [Max] Glacies (Ice)

"Now I just need you to..." The words died in my throat as I heard something familiar.

...zzz...zzz...zzz...

A faint snore can be heard from him as Slab continued to stand; his head slouched forward. Cassie threw a crimson ball of chaos energy at his head. "Don't fall asleep here!"

The corrosive energy washed over his body, eating away at the bone plates as they regrew just as fast. It was only minutes later when Slab seemed to finally wake up.

He stretched out his massive arms, bone plates grinding against each other as he let out a deep yawn. "Did you need something?"

I pulled an orb out of my Inventory. It was soft to the touch as it was covered in grass, leafs, roots, and flowers. "Here, it's a nature elemental guardian core; your reward." I tossed him the orb; a tendril of stretched, braided muscle, tipped with a bone needle arced out of his back, over his shoulder, and pierced the guardian core.

A faint scream could be heard from the guardian core as Slab's tendril slowly retracted back into his body as if it too was lazy. "...Thanks."

"Wait," I glanced at his arms as he was showing signs of turning away. "What happened to the gauntlets I made for you?"

"They broke when I was digging the sixth tunnel," Slab just shrugged, more bone dust fell to the ground. "It would have been too much work to find you, so I just continued to dig."

"That's... really impressive," I complimented. I would assume that he accomplished this because he has all five elemental affinities, but that wouldn't do much since he only has miniscule amounts of them. In the end, he just used his mutated abilities. "Is there anything else I should know?"

"Isa made the five pools of blood at the Clockwork Fortress flow into the tunnels I made," He explained, scratching the back of his head as chips of bone flakes fell. "Where they intersected, she pushed the liquid straight up; into a room that's directly in the center of the fortress. Activate your Anchor from there."

"And where is Isa?" Cassie questioned as Winslow walked out of a crimson portal, holding a raw fish in his mouth.

"She went back to help the freak, but I'm going back to sleep. One of PAMA's slaves should be returning too." Slab turned away, his back facing towards Cassie and me as the tendril that pierced the nature guardian core retracted back into an open vertical mouth on the back of Slab's left shoulder.

We watched, as the guardian core was completely submerged in the vertical mouth before stands of muscle, and bone needles, pierced the core before the mouth closed before fusing shut; if I didn't see it, I wouldn't have known that a mouth was there before.

A new layer of white fur grew where the mouth was before Slab started to sweat liquid bone out from his exposed skin to match his body. He then hunched over, as if in pain, as three pairs of wings erupted out from his back.

When they stretched out, fresh muscle and blood flicked off onto the ground completely before revealing a total of six beautiful black wings. Slab gave them one mighty flap before taking off, leaving bone dust and black feathers falling down towards the ground.

And yet from where he stood, a sheet of ice over a scorched ground, fresh plants grew. Beautiful.

"Nature guardian core?" Cassie asked for clarification.

"It's a sub-elemental guardian created with the Terra (Earth), Aqua (Water), and Vita (Vitality) affinities." I explained as Blink teleported in with various chests containing surgery equipment.

Cassie and her pet walked over to me as I erected a stone table, nothing special as Blink placed the preserved corpse of another person who tried to kill me. "What are you going to do?" She asked me.

"Finishing an experiment," I don't even bother learning the names of the people I kill anymore, I just rip out their Mana Core, and salvage the body. "With the Deicide quest reward, it will be worth it for my project."

"But don't you need that freak at the Clockwork Fortress?" Cassie asked, picking up her cat. "What if he leaves?"

"We have plenty of time." Besides, after I finish this quest, I might not need Cassie anymore...

-----------

The freaks' body was disgusting. Even though he grew tall enough to block out the sun, he fell forward onto his stomach as he lift his upper body up with his massive arms.

His legs were fused together as he dragged his massive body across the ground. The abomination opened his canine mouth before letting out a stone-shattering scream.

His elongated neck rippling like water as ten tumors evenly swelled on it before bursting, the shockwave was almost enough to blast those off of the iron wall. Black dust and odd colored blood flooded out as the tumors exploded, these massive slithering masses, protruded out of the exploded tumors.

The closest thing these protrusions are similar to be snakes, if these 'snakes' didn't have eyes or scales, or have rows of long needle-like teeth.

Jesse and Raven snapped out of their stupor, leaping off the stone platform he created before a massive black 'snake' chomped onto the platform before crushing it in its needle-filled mouth.

Raven caught Jesse mid-air before landing on the ground. The duo ran near the massive being before them; the word "colossal" wouldn't be enough to describe how huge the abomination is.

The really disturbing thing is that his skin is always moving, and screaming? They couldn't know for sure; they're didn't want to get close to that thing as he was always laughing, as if this was nothing more than a game.

Jesse erected another floating platform of stone under them to quickly glide across the ground while a 'snake' contracted before spewing out a wave of black dust. It formed cracks in the snowy, fog-covered ground due to the sheer amounts of carbon being expelled.

"We got to lead him away from here," Raven shouted as she casted <Divine Smite>, the holy blades seemed like specs compared to the size of the abomination, despite the screaming coming from him. "Everyone here is in danger!"

"But if we don't him stop here and now, what's stopping this guy from going anywhere else?" Jesse pointed out as Raven's divine blades faded the second it made contact with the abomination before them. "If we don't stop him, then the whole world is in danger!"

Their eyes widen in shock as nine other 'snakes' coiled down from the abomination's body, surfacing from his screaming skin as the 'snakes' massive heads easily followed their eyeless gaze on the duo.

They heard a dead voice coming from the 'snakes', despite their mouths not opening and not having any eyes. "Shut up and die."

Their mouths opened and unleashed steady streams of carbon at the duo as odd colored blood dripped out of their mouths. The 'snakes' grind their needle-thin teeth together, chipping them as the friction heated the tooth fragments.

And one of those fragments landed in the airborne carbon monoxide, igniting it in a massive explosion that engulfed the 'snakes', some of the abomination, and a huge chunk of the Clockwork Fortress.

KA-BOOM-!

After the massive glow of the blast died down, the abomination saw a sphere covered in indecipherable writing among the wreck.

Multiple chains shot out of the sphere, wrapping around the 'snakes' before forcing their mouths shut. Yet the chains, just like the divine blades, faded from existence on contact.

The abomination lifted one of his massive hands, quickly snatching the sphere while his carbon leaked onto it as cracks started to form.

"You can't hide from me," He brought the sphere close to his eyes, leaking blood as they had hundreds of irises ranging various sizes and color.

The sphere faded out of existence, revealing a stone platform with several Minor Guardians made out of divine energy.

Before the abomination could react, they jumped onto his warped face before stabbing his eyes. But like all divine constructs, they faded from existence as soon as they made contact with the abomination... at least they managed to shred his eyes.

----------

"How much time will that buy us?" Jesse asked, exhausted as he Raven hid inside the iron tower, in the rooms they stayed in when slaving away in labor.

"Not enough." Raven said somberly as the tower started to shake. "Jesse, we got to get out of here!"

"No," Jesse shook his head. "Not without my friends, they're still out there!"

It was true, when they were entering the iron tower, they didn't see Jesse's friends anywhere. The only thing they saw where scorched marks in their place, and a symbol of an eye drawn with blood.

"It doesn't matter, Jesse, that doesn't change the fact that we're out of out league here!" Raven shouted. "We can't stop that thing!"

"We have to," Jesse stood his ground. "If we can't stop him here, then the whole world could be in danger!"

"Okay, first of all, that's a really big assumption of what will happen." Raven pointed out. "Second, what can we do against that monster?!"

"If we work together we can stop that thing," Jesse argued. "Teamwork makes the dream work."

"We did work together, and it did nothing!" Raven pulled out her book. "My spells don't work on him, and you are low on Mana," The tower shook again. "Plus, you can only do earth magic, elementalist." She sassed.

Jesse glared back. "I'm not leaving here without my friends!"

"Then I am." Raven snapped, turning away as she opened her book. But before she could murmur a single word, cracks formed on the inside of the tower before a pair of black claws shredded the tower into bits.

The duo was thrown out back into the open, tumbling in the cold air as the massive abomination turned his warped face at them, laughing like a madman as his many-iris eyes regrew from his bleeding, decayed face.

Raven, using her wings, managed to stabilize herself before catching Jesse before he crashed into the ground. "You okay?" She asked, lowering him to the carbon-covered ground.

"A little beat up," Jesse admitted, taking in deep breaths. "Just get me healed, we can still win-!"

He tackled Raven to the ground when the abomination's ten 'snakes' used their mouths to rip and throw chunks of the iron wall at the duo before spewing a wave of carbon and igniting to such a high temperature, causing the metal to melt into a hot liquid state.

The metal sludge engulfed them, but the abomination watched Jesse struggled to move the liquid metal around them to avoid being hurt.

Jesse collapsed to his knees, taking in deep breaths. "I'm all out of Mana..." he coughed.

"Jesse, we have to go," Raven urged, using <Heal> on him. "There is no way we can beat him!"

"No, we can't," Jesse shook his head. "We need to stop him, that's what heroes do."

"You got to be kidding me!" Raven screamed, causing Jesse to look at her. "Do you honestly think that you're a hero-?!"

A 'snake' rushed out of the ground under Raven, launching her high into the air, knocking Jesse away. At the apex of her height, she was only up to the abomination's chest as he easily grabbed her with his massive hand.

His whole upper body rotated until he was facing the opposite direction as his waist echoed the sound of screaming and breaking bones. He gripped Raven before throwing her at the remains of the obsidian wall, at the opposite side of the clockwork Fortress.

Jesse screamed when he heard Raven's body colliding into a hard object. "I'm done playing around," The abomination dug his hands into the ground, under the remains of the iron wall and iron towers before ripping the ruins into the air.

With little effort, he threw the ruins at Raven's prone form; she could only watch in pain as the remains crashed into her prone form.

"RAVEN!" Jesse screamed, glaring at the abomination as he attracted the beast to him. The abomination continued to rotate his body until he was facing Jesse again. He used his massive arms to lunge himself towards Jesse, dragging his screaming lower body with him before using his fists to smash Jesse into the ground.

CRASH-!

He pulled his hands back, revealing a sore Jesse in a crater, and smashed his body again for good measure. The abomination dragged his body until his head was directly above Jesse's broken body; his leg was broken as he coughed up blood.

The abomination's head was directly hovering over Jesse as the injured male can smell rotting flesh and decay while the screams coming from his skin seemed louder. The abomination continued to laugh while his lips peeled back before his main mouth opened; he wanted to enjoy this.

Jesse watched, unable to move, in disturbing horror as a fleshy lumps rose from the abomination's throat and oozed out of his mouth; it's his tongue.

It looked like liquid flesh, rotting and bloated as it gently flowed down like thick mucus while infected globs seemed to form-!

Jesse's stopped breathing when he finally saw the abomination's tongue unravel to form hundreds of carbon-turned people, gently flowing out of the abomination's mouth like water; hanging by a noose wrapped around their necks that are made out of rotten intestines and crushed bones.

He was too terrified to scream as he looked into their hollowed eyes, oozing odd colored blood as they whispered the same thing over and over.

Kill me... Help me die...

When their crooked and warped bodies touched the ground, they became semi-liquid as they grabbed onto Jesse trembling, injured body.

Kill me... It hurts...

Jesse struggled as they wrapped around his body, gripping his as he started to scream. The abomination started to retract his tongue, pulling the damned people with Jesse back into his mouth.

Kill me... Kill me... Kill me... Kill me...

Jesse heard the constant, pained whispers growing louder as he neared the abomination's mouth. Jesse wanted to scream as loud as he can when he saw the hundreds of bodies, still conscious and alive, moving along the abomination's skin.

The abomination opened his mouth even wider as Jesse was close, revealing a disgusting display of screaming faces, decayed bones, tumors and maggots and moving limbs. They all screamed the same thing.

-Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me Kill me-!

"H-How many people are trapped inside of you...?" Jesse whispered throughout the screaming. Yet something caught Jesse's attention: a parchment of charred skin, the words written in blood, lodged in one of the abomination's teeth.

[Incognito Contract]

This paper will conceal every detail on the one who writes on this paper using their blood. This is only effective if this parchment is intact.

Jesse didn't question where this paper came from, but maybe, just maybe, and he's jumping to a huge accusation here, he can finally know who this abomination is, and hopefully discover a weakness.

As the screaming flesh dragged him into the abomination's mouth, Jesse reached out to grab the parchment.

A/N: I'M BACK! I was really sick, and thought of stuff for later on in this story. And I made this chapter extra long for you guys for being patient. Slab has finally been introduced, and man is he disturbing! His backstory will be revealed in a later chapter, and the OC known as Raven, because I really like her character!

I'm going to include some stuff from season 2 of MCSM way later on, mostly because I can and there is nothing anyone can do to stop me! Soon, I'll introduce that third OC that was submitted a long time ago, but it will only have a minor role. And since I'm not saying whose OC it is, they can't make demands out of me like other OC submitters!

On a more funny note, I've received a hate mail in my inbox that's SIX paragraphs long! The record for longest hate mail was broken, and I laughed my butt of and didn't take that girl seriously about her complaining of how this story is long.

People, I don't give a damn if you don't like my story. I couldn't help but feel bad for this girl because she wasted her time reading something she didn't like! It's like I bake a cake, and she knows she doesn't like cake personally, but instead of avoiding the cake to eat something she actually likes, she decides to eat my cake out of spite so she can complain. Jokes on her, again, she wasted her time!

Also, remember when I discovered Aphmau's youtube channel and I found Dreams of Estorra? I'm going to do a fic about that too, finally found some inspiration, and for those of you who do watch Dreams of Estorra, I'm going to be asking some questions about the series because, well, I want multiple perspectives about it and there is some things that are not really explained!
