Chapter 84: Clockwork Part 9

Chai POV

Chai stripped Bailey's corpse naked. She torn and removed the blood-soaked, yellow garment that covered Bailey's chest while removing her soiled pants and underwear.

She then grabbed Bailey's severed head, tying the brown, bloodstained hair around her waist like a belt. After double-checking that she has everything she needs, resting her cleaver on her shoulder, and following Jess' instructions down to the letter, she then pulled out her Potion of Teleportation.

But at that moment, the one enemy that kills so many have surfaced: curiosity. Before Chai drank the potion, she looked closely at the obsidian room she's in.

Putting the Potion of Teleportation away, she walked really close to the dark material. She saw that these were not individual blocks of obsidian, but one hollowed structure.

Chai then Scribed the material. "What is this stuff?" she whispered to herself.

At that moment, the room moved. Chai braced herself as the room violently shook, rising deep from underground.

----------

Everyone was stunned; silence was in the air as the snowflakes glide along with the harsh breeze of cold air, except of Raven, as she didn't know who Lisa is.

"Y-You...?" Jesse choked; tears slowly flowed out of his eyes.

"Hello beloved," Lisa greeted gently, walking towards a trembling Jesse. "I've missed you so much."

"Wait... Lisa?" Petra questioned, still blind yet able to recognize the voice. "She's here?"

"PAMA is controlling her," Olivia revealed. "Jesse, I know it's hard, but don't fall for it; PAMA is tricking you!"

"Don't listen to them, honey," Lisa whispered gently as the chains of white fire that wraps everyone else continued to siphon out their Mana. "They abandoned me, remember?"

"Jesse, that's not true!" Petra protested. "She stayed behind so we could escape the undead monsters that were swarming the destroyed town."

"Why did you abandon me, husband?" Lisa continued while the metal that covers her hands unfolded as she placed them on Jesse face, already streaming with tears. "Why do you hate me so much?"

Jesse was crying. He found sanctuary in Lisa's blue eyes as they gave off the sense of gentle comfort and love. Yet those eyes gave off an aura of sadness and pain. "Was I not important to you?"

"Lisa I-!" Jesse cried, choking on his own words. "I tried and-"

"No... you didn't," Lisa whispered, sadness clear in her tone. "Am I nothing more than a disposable tool?"

"No," Jesse sobbed. "I love you, I love our family, our daughter!"

"Then why did you not come and find me?" Lisa looked directly at Jesse, tears started to leak out of her eyes as she pulled her hands back. "I spent weeks in captivity, tortured and violated... why did you forget me?"

Petra started to thrash. "PAMA, stop it!"

"Would it have been better if I was never found?" Lisa asked, ignoring the redhead, making Jesse tremble in silence. "You seemed happier without me..."

SMACK-!

Lisa punched Jesse in the face, causing both eyes to widen in pain as he finally stopped crying. His eyes looked at Lisa; stunned. "Lisa...?" he whispered as the cold wind gently blew.

"And- scene." Lisa swept her left arm out, placing her right her stomach, as she gave a deep, mocking bow while the metal covered her exposed arms and head again.

"Lisa...?" Jesse repeated as everyone looked at his wife in tense silence.

"No," Lisa stood straight up, the redness of her eyes returning. "Just PAMA." The static high-pitched tone returned with a mixture of amusement. "Did you, meatbag, really fell for my performance?!" PAMA started to laugh.

Jesse felt something twist inside him and looked away. He didn't know what he felt, but he just wanted someone to comfort him as PAMA continued to laugh.

"...You think this is funny?" Raven screamed, despite the white ever-growing chains. "How dare you-!"

"Shut up, freak," PAMA interrupted, its tone was suddenly dead. "Do you want me to tell everyone what you are?"

Raven flinched from that. "That's right, I know what's under your cloak." PAMA quipped. "So shut up, and let me enjoy my entertainment."

"You won't get away with this, PAMA!" Petra screamed, still blind.

"I've already won, you idiot!" PAMA laughed. "I got a Templar, her knowledge, her knowledge about all of you, and there is not a damn thing you can do, meatbags!"

"That doesn't mean we won't stop trying," Olivia screamed. "We'll stop you!"

"Stop me how?" PAMA was enjoying this.

"We, uh, we will..." Olivia's words died in her throat. What can they do?

"Typical meatbags," PAMA scoffed. "All talk and no fight."

"Remember, I have the power of a Templar at my disposal." PAMA gestured to herself.

"I can move metal and redstone." The mechanical hand the burst from the ground melted as PAMA willed the internal components to wrap around Lisa's arms and formed massive mechanical arms that reached her knees.

"And now..." The white chains stopped growing, unwrapping before latching onto Lisa's possessed body as she absorbed their Mana. "I took all of your Mana."

Petra, Raven, and Olivia tried to move, only to remember that PAMA wrapped metal all over them. Jesse didn't bother trying; emotions restrained him.

"So tell me, meatbags," PAMA mused, pulling her right arm back as the internal components retracted like a piston. "What can you possibly do against me?"

No one said anything; all they can do is glare at the possessed Templar as sweat ran down their heads at this dire scenario.

"That right," PAMA walked forward as her right arm started to hum with energy. "Your silence and the answer are the same: nothing! Especially you, Olivia."

"M-Me?" The redstone engineer asked in confusion and a bit of fear.

"I want to personally kill you," PAMA confessed as she stopped just in front of Olivia, the dark-skinned girl had flashbacks of Redstonia. "You are just so damn annoying."

"W-Wait!" Petra intervened. "You're not allowed to kill her!"

"What are you talking about?" PAMA was getting annoyed, not even bothering to look at blinded Petra as PAMA aimed her cocked fist at a terrified Olivia.

"Jess made rules for when you guys run into us," Petra recalled. "That includes not killing us; that cloaked psychopath said so!"

"That was only for him, meatbags," PAMA clarified, irritated with this pointless conversation, much to their dismay. "My master only wants her brother intact, the rest of you she could care less!"

Jesse looked up at that, both of his eyes open, glaring at PAMA but still held concern for his wife.

"Then why did she give that freak instructions not to kill us?" Olivia stalled. "Why keep us alive?"

"To deliver some form of her retribution," PAMA scoffed. "To be blunt: she wants you to suffer, but she has other priorities that are more important."

"So she wants revenge, but doesn't think we're worth it?!" Olivia said in disbelief. Jesse doesn't know to either feel relief, knowing that his sister won't come after them, or terrified, since he can only imagine what horrible things his sister is doing.

PAMA just shook her head in annoyance. "...Just shut up and die already," PAMA growled and took a step forward and threw her right arm forward, shifting her weight towards Olivia as a second later the internal components of the gauntlet extended.

The redstone engineer closed her eyes, turning away in fear as her friends shouted at PAMA to stop.

SHOOM-!

Olivia felt something collide into her stomach as blood burst out of her mouth. Her eyes widen in blistering pain as she choked on her own blood.

But she's alive. Olivia's, and Jesse's, eyes widen at the bright, white circle with smooth designs on it. Despite several of them placed as a shield, PAMA's fist managed to punch through it; at least it slowed it down enough not to kill Olivia.

Before PAMA could react, the circles collapsed on the gauntlet, shattering it as PAMA pulled her outstretched arm as she jumped back; gaining distance.

PAMA examined her arm. The exoskeleton is intact, but the right gauntlet is destroyed. PAMA's red eyes focused on Raven, specifically the book she has in her hands... her freed hands.

"How did you get loose?" PAMA narrowed her red eyes at Raven, flexing the mechanical components in the left gauntlet that covers her left arm.

"I used my obsidian dagger to cut myself loose while they," Raven nodded at Jesse and his friends. "Kept talking to you, the white chains covered my body so you didn't see me cutting the metal you wrapped around me."

"Then how did you cast that cleric spell?" PAMA wondered, more to itself rather than Raven. "You shouldn't have any Mana to use."

"I prayed to Notch, and he answered my call," Raven gripped the white book open in her left hand while pulling out an obsidian dagger to wield in her right. "As an extension of his will... I can't let you live!"

"Wait, what?!" Jesse shouted as Petra and Olivia's eyes widen.

"You would harm this woman?" PAMA questioned, gesturing to herself. "Pretty hypocritical that you're using your compassionate god to justify murder."

"I would be killing you," Raven nodded, pointing her dagger at PAMA. "But at least this way I will make sure you won't hurt anyone else!"

"Wait... Raven," Olivia protested, coughing blood. "Don't hurt her!"

"Sorry, but I can't let this abomination of Notch live," Raven charged at PAMA. "I'll try and get PAMA out of your friend, Olivia, but no promises!"

"Damn it," Petra, still blind, swore as she thrashed against the metal restraints as Raven and PAMA's fight began. "Jesse, what do we do?!"

But Jesse was too focused right now, looking at the white book in Raven's hand as she duct under PAMA's left arm before twisting behind his possessed wife and slashed at her back.

Jesse used the runes in his right eye.

[Book: Faith]

This a distant cousin of the Harbinger series created by an Old Builder named Theodor Isaac Maxwell, during the reign of the Fourth Emperor; an era of blind faith.

Even though this book uses artificial divine energy for combat, and it's religious content, it has no connection to Notch whatsoever since it portrays a different deity with the same name.

This book recorded the entire reign of the fourth Emperor, and how Herobrine's single action almost wiped out all life in the Overworld. Only one entity knows what Herobrine did, how he was stopped, and that is...

Jesse face showed confusion. "Who the heck is Maura?"

A/N : To be continued! I'm back, I've been sick. Next chapter: PAMA vs Raven, who so far is my favorite OC to write about, and thanks to her creator for sending her for me to torment! :3

Anyways, Chai is in a really odd place, don't ya think? Meanwhile, if you've forgotten, Axel and Luke got their butts kicked and will see them in next chapter too. Also, the book that Raven is using, I finally get to introduce it into the story after so long. Still, I think I gave enough info in that description, and you all should have critical thinking skills to form the right conclusions...

Oh wait, this is people I'm talking about! Never mind, see you all in the next chapter. Hopefully someone lives, unlike Bailey...
