Chapter 32: Twilight Part 5
"Why would I? It's just a stupid jacket." He said coldly as he started to walk away. "And I'm not their friend, I'm just their babysitter that takes part of the blame of the problems they cause, and is forced to clean up their messes." He added before walking away.
Jess waited until they are out of hearing range to turn her attention to the grieving Ocelots. "Well, here we are." She said, placing Lukas's jacket inside her Inventory.
"You!" screamed Maya. "I'm going to...!" she couldn't finish what she was about to say because she broke down crying.
"Jess!" screamed Aiden, thrashing against the obsidian prison. "When I get out of here, I'll kill you!"
"You wouldn't be the first Aiden." She replied casually, making them go silent.
"... what did you say?" Gill asked quietly.
"I said, you wouldn't be the first." She repeated. "You idiots think that you're the only ones who saw that bounty poster?"
"You kill people?" asked Maya, suddenly afraid.
"Yep." Jess replied coldly.
"Why...?" asked Maya, before she started yelling. "Why are you doing all of this?! Why did you imprison us?! Why did you convince Lukas to leave?!"
"First of all, I didn't convince Lukas to quit the Ocelots." Jess replied. "He left of his own will so he can bargain for your safety. But honestly..." said Jess, walking closer to the prison. "... I simply don't like you. Any one of you."
Jess then gave them a glare of her own. "But one of the main reasons I don't like you, is because you are like people: you judge by appearance, and only when the disguise is lifted is when you treat with prejudice."
"What are you talking about?" said Gill.
"When my disguise is lifted, revealing my true self, you still see me as that stupid, naive girl that lacked a backbone to stand up for herself. Thinking that, despite earlier encounters, you can beat me."
"We can beat you!" screamed Aiden. "And when we do, we're getting Lukas back!"
"Getting Lukas back?" repeated Jess. "I don't own him Aiden, I'm simply giving him an opportunity to improve himself."
"Opportunity?!" shouted Gill. "More like brainwashing! What magic did you do to him?!"
"Magic?" she asked, unsurprised. "Of course you would think it's magic..." she murmured, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Lukas left of his own free will, and if anything, it's nothing but your own fault."
"How is this our fault?" yelled Aiden. "If anything it's your fault!"
"You want to really know why he left? Why he left you three?" she asked. "He left because you don't respect him as you don't appreciate him! When was the last time you said something nice to him?"
"Hey, we say nice things about him all the time!" shouted Maya.
"Not about him. To him." She clarified. "You talk about how amazing he is, brag about how he's a good friend and leader."
She continued. "But during the Building Competitions, in the Nether, and even now, you have not said a single nice thing to him, even though he's practically a buffer for your arrogance."
"And if you are really his friends, wouldn't you want him to have an opportunity like this?" asked Jess unexpectedly.
The three looked shocked, just for a second. They looked at each other, almost having a silent conversation with one another.
Should they be happy for their friend? Lukas sacrificed so much for them, and always stood by their side despite being in the wrong. Maybe, just maybe, for once they can do this one act of kindness for their friend.
They slumped over, sat on the ground in defeat. "You're right..." said Aiden, his voice barely above a whisper, leaning his head against the obsidian.
Jess raised an eyebrow. "What did you just say?"
"I said you're right." Repeated Aiden, all of the anger and sadness gone, and replaced with shame and acceptance. "I am- I mean we, are terrible friends."
And then it was silence. For once, the arrogant and prideful Ocelots acknowledge their flaws.
It was then small chunks of stone ripped out of the ground, forming small hands, and respectfully clapping.
"You know, if I still had my right arm, I would actually clap for that with my own hands." Jess complimented as she willed the stone hands to continue to clap.
"Jess... just stop it with the lies." Said Gill sadly, the sudden heavy rain didn't help with the mood either.
The darkness that followed with the downpour, but still had enough light to see. That crisp, almost painful, cold air filled the Ocelot's lungs as they let it in to mix with their grief.
"No, I really do mean it." said Jess, not angry or in a cold tone, but respectful as she's unaffected by the rain while getting soaked. "It takes a lot of maturity and bravery to admit your flaws."
She then willed the front of the obsidian prison to open. She put away her Chaos Blades and her Quad Dispenser back into her Inventory.
"Although, it's too late." Said Jess sadly. "I really wish things turned out differently. Maybe then, we wouldn't be in this situation."
"Wait, wha-?" but the stone hands, throwing her far across the natural clearing, suddenly gripped Maya.
"MAYA!" screamed Aiden and Gill as they ran after her.
"Jess, what are you doing?" stuttered Maya, struggling a bit to get off the ground and shivering in the rain, only to get thrown back even farther when Jess kicked her in the stomach.
It doesn't help that her Strength stat is over 500 either. Maya bounced once, then twice, off the ground, as she was about to smash into the hydra's lair.
But before she crashed, Jess used her high Dexterity, and her skill [Running], to quickly run up to Maya, grabbed her as she bounced of the ground a third time before slamming her back into the obsidian prison.
A loud CRASH echoed throughout the storm.
"Maya!" But she wasn't sure who said it, her head is sore as it is numb, the world disoriented as she is in pain. Her mouth is full of blood and fear.
"Maya, get up!" screamed Aiden across the clearing before glaring at Jess. "Why did you do that? You made a promise not to hurt us!"
"No, I promised Lukas that wouldn't hurt his friends..." In an instant, she activated her Hell Ring, making her 'invisible' to the Ocelots as their eyes widen in surprise and fear.
"Where did she go?!" screamed Aiden. "She was just here!"
But the truth is, she's still in the same spot. Quickly, she appeared behind Aiden and Gill, rapidly punching and kicking them as she twisted around them. To them, it was if they are being hit from every direction.
Jess sent Aiden crashing into Gill, knocking them onto the ground. Jess then ran over to Maya, grabbed her by the neck, lifting her up and slammed her into the ground.
"...And Lukas made it very clear that you are not his friends." Said Jess as she lifted Maya up by her neck again. The girl herself is barely keeping her eyes open as her mouth is leaking blood.
Lightning struck, illuminating the area just for a second. And in that second, with a barely opened eye, Maya saw the nightmare lifting her up and slightly choking her.
For the first time, Maya realized her own mortality.
Jess then casually threw her across the clearing again, sending her injured body to roll into the hollow hill, the hydra's former lair. Maya is alive, but didn't move as she just stayed there like a discarded ragdoll.
The two male Ocelots could only watch in horror, and cringe at this one-sided fight. They both got up and charged at Jess.
"You tricked Lukas!" Screamed Aiden as he raised his fist, losing his weapon to the lich earlier. "You twisted the deal around, and made it so you got the better end of the bargain!"
"Words are nothing more than altered lies and truths." Said Jess, her voice clear through the storm, easily catching Aiden's fist, twisting under his outstretched arm and pulling it behind him as she dislocated the limb.
"And I wouldn't say bargain, per say." Said Jess, twisting his dislocated arm even more. "I would call it an offering for your lives."
She silenced Aiden's screams by throwing him at Gill, who blocked the impact with his shield. Running pass Aiden, ignoring his screams, he continued to charged at Jess, screaming a war cry.
He raised his mace, ready to smash Jess's face off, only for her to become elevated as an undead giant burst out of the ground.
Gill was too shocked to block the kick the huge mob sent at him, sending him back. He then channeled Mana to his eyes, and Scribing the beast.
"H-How... are you this strong?" he asked tiredly, getting up as he stared at the level 400 undead giant.
"Seriously, are you that stupid?" asked Jess from above her monster. "I'm level 450, two hundred levels above your own, and I have necromancy to summon undead monsters, and paladin magic to boost myself when I'm near one."
She then activated [Creature Tamer] on the undead giant, reducing its level to 200, and evolving it into an undead colossus.
"Like I said in the Nether, I won't be so kind the next time we meet. I warned you to watch your mouth, but you didn't listen." She said, hopping off her monster.
She then had her undead colossus open its mouth, breathing a wave of white fire around the clearing, setting the fauna around them aflame and trapping them all in the ring of fire.
It was then Maya stumbled out of the hollow hill where Jess sent her crashing into. Watching the scene before her as she became worried and enraged, pulling out her staff. "That's enough!" she screamed, pointing her staff at Jess.
Everyone turned to Maya, who's shaking from the harsh rain and her injuries, aiming her wizard staff at Jess, the blue crystal ball that tops it is pointing at Jess.
The girl herself just raised an eyebrow at her before turning her attention back to the two Ocelots.
Aiden is holding his dislocated arm, running to defend Gill as they both stand together. Jess willed the ground to move the block her mutant enderman delivered to her earlier.
The Mana Generator.
"Hey, I said stop!" demanded Maya as Jess placed her hand on the Mana Generator. "Step away from them or else!"
"Or else what." Said Jess, turning her attention back to Maya as Jess tilts her head in a bored fashion, her voice inflicting fear into the girl.
"I'll...I-I-I'll kill you, Jess!" Threatened Maya, trying to be brave. "I'll put you in an illusion that will make you insane, and fry your brain!"
It was then Jess did something that no one expected, something that haunts the Ocelots to this day.
Jess started to laugh.

One Month Later
"Let me get this straight," said Lisa. "You came back here, to our home, on my daughter's birthday, again, just because my sister-in-law was defending herself from you." She stated.
"From the sound of the story... I say they got their butts kicked." Said Petra. "Hard."
Axel started cracking his knuckles, getting mad. "You came here, just to complain that our friend was fighting in self-defense because you punks tried to capture her."
"That's not the whole reason why we came here." Said Aiden; still glaring at Jesse, but a glare from everyone is enough to make him cower away.
"Then why are you here?" asked Jesse, crossing his arms.
It was then the next three words from Gill's mouth made all of them feel sad for the two people in front of them.
"She killed Maya." Gill grieved, almost crying.
