Chapter 21: Boom Part 3

Sometime in the far future

"Do you do everything on you own auntie?" Jennifer asked her aunt.

"Yes... and no." she replied. "I create minions to do my bidding."

"So, it's not your fault?" Jennifer questioned. "It's your minions fault?"

"No, it's still my fault that all of this happened." Her aunt gestured to the destruction around them.

"Why?"

"Because if I killed you right now, would my weapon be to blame?"

----------

"Don't I get a say in this?" I rhetorically asked as I bought a sub-skill for [Creature Tamer].

[Biochemistry] (Active) level 1

You may now combine mobs into hybrids; the monsters and skill level determine the levels and stats of hybrids. You cannot combine hybrids, but improve current ones by selectively adding the material.

Max number of hybrids: 1

Max number of monsters used for creation of hybrids: 2

A hundred levels, gone! Not to mention the -20 to all of my stats.

"Status." I murmured as the crowd, even Nohr, stopped to look at me.

Ping!

[Jess]

I hope this is worth it.

"Hey, she lost a hundred levels!" a random griefer shouted.

"Who cares? That makes it easier to catch her." Said another.

They all started to approach us, all of them with a wicked smile. "Nohr, get out of the way, she's our ticket to Magnus."

But before she could say anything I used [Grim Harvest] on her. My black strings pierced through her as I willed it to strike four others.

I ripped them all out within a second, everyone gasping in shock as the victims are on the ground in pain. So now I have 5 more Mana Cores: An Illusionist, another Warrior, and three Wizards.

"Alright, now I'm mad." I said to the stunned crowd as I stomped on Nohr's neck, killing her.

None of them made the first move, so I did.

I simply ran away. "Come and get me losers!" I shouted.

It wasn't until a second later that heard them screaming for bloody murder as the massive crowd chased after me. On [Battlefield] I can see the swarm of people behind me.

I saw people running on the rooftops to my left as I saw some people teleporting to my right. All of them trying to flank me.

I pulled out a Flask Potion of Blindness as I threw high into the air and had Box shoot it, causing it rain down on the people below, me included.

But one thing that Ivor always told me was to have milk in my Inventory, apparently it cures all potion effects; something that people didn't know.

So the second I felt the liquid stop raining down, I drank the milk, curing my blindness. I then erected a dome around the blinded griefers to protect myself from the fireball that was about to hit.

After tuning out the curses and shouts, I harvested 4 more Mana Cores: a wizard, two warriors, and a red mage.

I then saw the dome start to crack and break, so I planted a Mega TNT down before I forced the dome outwards, colliding into anyone close before running away.

But then I had Box shoot the Mega TNT, causing it to levitate as a lightning bolt flew in my direction, blocking it as it ignited the explosive.

Ping!

You are now level 201!

Good. It's just what I need.

I made a sharp turn to the right as an ice spike flew pass me. Man these guys really want to catch me.

I then used [Leap] to jump onto the rooftops, avoiding a deep hole covered by an illusionist. As I was running, jumping from roof to roof I had to erect some stone to slow them down.

When I was midair, jumping to another roof, it felt like time was slowing down as I saw what was ahead of me.

I saw a few red mages, smirking as they stood on top of dozens of dispensers that are neatly stacked in rows of 12. All of them pointed at me.

It was then I saw their hands glow a misty red as they activated their machine. But they didn't fire arrows.

They fired freak'n lasers!

I got pelted with them as I was launched back to my previous rooftop. I rolled off of the roof as the red mages made the dispensers turn in my direction as I run.

I just have to stay ahead of the laser fire as I continued to run in a desired direction. Just a little bit more...

As I was running, with more ruined houses on both sides as I ran until I reached a dead end, and a massive tower of iron blocking me.

It's not a earth-type block, it's metal! I can't move it. Not to mention that it's way too tall for me to jump over.

"Well, looks like you reached a dead end, noob." A heard a voice behind me.

I turned around to see that all the griefers, even the ones I killed, are blocking my only way out.

I was about to jump on the roofs on my side when I saw the familiar black fog-like orbs of a conjurer as it summoned the red mages on the roof tops, their dispensers pointing at me.

"Now, tell us where Magnus is!" one of them demanded. But I just started laughing.

"Hey, you think we're joking?!"

After I calmed my self down, I simply asked. "Or what?"

They seemed to recoil from that unexpected answer. "What did you just say?" one of them asked.

"Tell you where Magnus is, or what?" I clarified. "What else are you possibly going to do with me?"

"We can kill you!" someone shouted as they all cheered 'Yeah!'.

"Okay, fine, do kill me." I said casually.

They weren't expecting that answer. "Uh, come again?"

"Kill me, let me respawn as I will just simply use the teleport platforms in the respawn towers to go somewhere else, and get to Magnus on my own." I said, making them realize the fault in that suggestion.

"You really think I'm that dumb to run into a dead end this deep?" I asked. "A dead end that I could clearly see from a hundred blocks away?"

"If you're so smart, then why did you run here?" one of the red mages asked.

"Because you were chasing me. I just need to make sure that you followed me here so it'll be easy."

"Easy for what?"

"Easy for me to kill you..." I said in a cold voice.

"Yeah right!" the conjurer said, a female. "You and what army noob?!"

"Me? I don't have an army, but I can bring someone who does."

I then activated [Undead Summon] as the ground cracked under me. A undead giant, a huge zombie that's even bigger than the giants in Death's former prison, rose from the ground; lifting me up on its head as everyone stared with wide eyes as they started shouting.

"What the heck is that?!"

"How did she do that?!"

"It's level 200!"

[Undead Giant] Level 200

Basically a huge zombie. The only difference is that the Giant has massive strength and immunity to sunlight. Trust me, you do not want to piss this guy off.

I had him raise both of his giant, decayed hands as he brought them down to smash the rooftops on my sides, destroying the dispensers and killing the red mages.

He lifted his hand, throwing the debris down the lane of the destroyed houses, knocking off the griefers on it as they fell with the rest.

I used [Grim Harvest] on the conjurer that summoned the red mages and their machines, ripping her Mana Core out as I brought it to me. I don't need her bringing anything else.

"Everyone, it's just a giant zombie! Just shoot it!" one of the braver greifers commanded as they all pulled out their bows, crossbows, and staffs as they aimed at my monster.

I used [Undead Summon] to spawn another undead monster. This one, for some reason, cost me the rest of my Mana, but for a creature like this, I can see why.

A creature that gave me so much trouble, an undead monster that so many failed to kill, and made people who are level 200 shake in fear.

A black circle appeared behind me, on the iron tower. A skeleton figure emerged from it and floated to my side as its own presence was to make everyone freeze in fear.

It is 3 blocks tall. It has a long purple cloak with golden design etched into it as it sways with the silent breeze. The red eyes are more horrifying as it is leaking a red mist, and the crown on its head that has runes carved into it.

[Lich]

Level 150

A skeleton that mastered necromancy and gained knowledge over time. With its ability to create transparent shield to protect itself, short-range teleporting, levitation, draining HP, and spawning armored undead monsters... this is a horror wearing a crown.

Even though it's level 150, people with much higher levels died from this beast. In the end, I guess it doesn't matter how high your level is. If all you can do is swing a sword, and you're level 400, then you're doomed.

"LICH!" someone screamed as they started to panic. They started firing at us, only for my lich to teleport in front of us, summoning and dispelling multiple transparent yellow shields when a projectile was about to hit us.

"It's not working!" someone shouted.

"We got this!" two paladins emerging to the front of the crowd, pulling out their iron swords. "We are stronger against undead monsters, everyone just cover us and- agh!"

My lich teleported in front of them, grabbing them by the throat, and lifting them into the air. It was then its red, misty eyes stared at their own fearful ones. Everyone else moved away in fear.

While gripping their blades, they desperately tried stabbing the lich, only for it to be blocked by its transparent shield.

It red eyes flashed for a moment as the paladins movements started getting slower and slower. But if you look closely, you can see a faint red glow on the lich's hands as it drains the paladins HP.

The lich dropped the dead husk of the paladins as they disappeared, their inventories spilling its contents out, and everyone too scared to pick it up; even when my lich floated back to me.

I used [Geo-Kinesis] to erect a large, thick wall of sand behind the frightened crowd; trapping them.

If they think that this is bad, it's going to get a lot worse.

I used [Creature Tamer] on my undead giant and my lich. Why would I do that if they are already under my control with [Undead Summon]?

Simply because [Undead Summon] doesn't have the benefits of the sub-skills... like [Evolution].

[Evolution] (Active) level 30

This skill will automatically evolve your minions into more powerful forms at the cost of 70 levels.

My undead giant evolved becoming even bigger, only for it to evolve again, reducing it from level 200 to level 60. And so I stood on a monster that made a zombie look like an ant in comparison.

[Undead Colossus]

Level 60

A giant undead monster that is immune to fire and in turn can use it for itself. Add that to its dense skin, and regeneration, this is a monster that you don't want to mess with.

The same thing happened to my lich, making it 4 blocks tall as it wore more detailed robes as more runes are carved into its body.

It grew a second mouth, in its mouth; as it now has sharp teeth and its jaw became segmented. Reducing its level from 150 to 80.

Then it evolved again, and it was much more horrifying as it became level 10.

Simply put, it was a deathly pale, thin, humanoid creature. With serrated claws and toes. It's skin... well, not really skin.

If you look close, you can see its white, wispy texture as you see dozens of transparent faces in frozen agony. Even though all of the heads are facing different direction, the eyes are looking around as one.

The faces moved around, silently screaming their damnation out into the open. But even if you were to remove this 'skin' off, you still wouldn't be able to see what is underneath.

Because its body is invisible to the eyes of the living.

[Lich Tyrant]

Level 10

A creature that died, but has never been born. Wearing the freshly ripped souls of the living as skin, it can posses creatures, become intangible, unleash psychic attacks on those who are conscious along with its advanced necromancy.

I had Steam come to me from a top of my new monster. He lowered me down closer to the crowd of frightened griefers. But I didn't give them a smile of arrogance, nor the pride of victory.

Just like I gave them no mercy.
