"Hey! " Avni spoke over the video call as she reached France two days back. Avni about to go for her business trip a week later but it got postponed and she had to be there in France early.

" Hii.. "He spoke settling himself on the bed and kept his phone on the bed with the support of the pillow.

" You going to sleep? " She asked him while he nodded negatively.

"Nope.. " He replied to her.

"May be you should..you seem tired. " She said to him as he seemed to be tired.

" Yess I am.. But how much tired I get.. I can't sleep... I am light sleeper Avni.. " He said to her while Avni was shocked to find a new found information about him.

She looked at him with a widen eyes thinking about that day where she were going to kiss him. While Neil understood her expression.

Flashback

Neil's  pov

I asked her to wake me up when she get ready but I know she won't. So I opened my eyes to see her arranging her files. I closed my eyes again as I still feel sleepy but I couldn't sleep and hoping to get some sleep after I drop her at office. When I am going to wake up.. I felt her close to me. I can't help but remain at the same place. I heard her saying something.

Thank You Neil.. May be without you.. I could have give up..

I smiled mentally hearing her. This girl.. Is tough only on outside but has a kind heart... But within sometime I could feel her breath on my face. My heart beat suddenly started beating fast. To an extent that I can able to hear it. I tried to hold my breath as I can feel the closeness between us and within a second I missed her warmth. I heard her footsteps and opened my eyes and left a deep breath.

"Was he awake that day? " She thought looking away.

Neil cleared his throat breaking her trance.

"Wh.. What happened? " He asked pretending not to know.

" Nothing.. "She smiled nervously and looked away.

" Don't come sooner... I wanna enjoy my birthday peacefully.. " He said to change the topic.

" Hehe... My work is also not ending sooner.. So enjoy yourself with your secret girlfriends while I am being here " She said to him while he feels sad hearing her that she won't be with him on his birthday but didn't show out.

"Ohh my wifey.. Are you jealous? " He asked her with a smirk making her glare.

"Wifey?!.. Ugh!.. " She rolled her eyes while he smiled as she looked cute when she did that.

Suddenly her room bell started ringing.

"I am going to hang up... As my boyfriend is here.. " She said to him and flipped her hair .

"Have a great evening!...... " He said to her still maintaining his coolness. While she glared at him again and put off the call.

"Is he human or what?.. Why don't he feel jealous?.. And why the hell.. Am I feeling that way?...I just hate him" She pouted to receive the food she had ordered from the door.

"Who it might be at the door?.. Boyfriend.. Huh?.. She is kidding me I know.." He thought to himself.

"Huff!!... I miss annoying her...I miss her smiling face...I just miss her.. " He thought and his smile faded.

"I got too used of her...I freaking waited the whole day for her call...Why am I feeling like this?...Am I..falling for her?...Argh Neil... This isn't happening... You can't do this.. " He said and his gazed moved towards the terms and condition where it was written boldly that.

He sighed deeply and closed his eyes.

"Did Avni called? " Riya asked him while he nodded negatively surfing on his phone as he finished his dinner on her home.

" Then what's your plan tomorrow for your birthday? ...Come here..lets hang out together  " She said to him while he looked at her.

"Let's see.." He said to her and left to Kitchen taking the dishes.

" She isn't in online.. I am not getting call from her today.. " He said to her in complaining tone. While Riya laughed.

"Ohh Mr. Typical Husband waiting desperately for a call from your wife ah? " Riya teased him.

"Huh?.. She sometimes does that... Like.. She didn't even called me at all for freaking whole day last week... And today too..Your friend don't care for me at all.. "He complained to her and stood up to leave.

" Let me deliver this complain to her.. " She said to him.

"Don't.. " He said to her.

"Waahh... Afraid of Avni... That's good.. " She teased him again while he rolled his eyes.

"As if " He twisted his lips while Riya laughed and he just said byee to her and left to home.

He reached his home and parked his car and took out his phone hoping to see her message but couldn't find any. He looked at the time which is going to be 12 . He sighed and got down from the car. He opened the door with his keys and entered his home while he heard a blast sound.

And within a seconds the lights turned in. And the part poper paper were all on him.

Avni reached in Evening and Only Riya knows about it. Avni asked her to keep Neil engage with her.

"Happy Birthday Neil.. " She shouted happily while Neil left a breath after getting a shock.

"You scared me.. "he said to her and looked at the balloons all over and other decorations while Avni laughed and hugged him.

" Happy Birthday Neil.. Hope God gives you brain this year.. And make you mature.. So that you won't annoy me.. " She said to him while he groan in annoyance making her chuckle.

"Thank You my dear wifey... Don't worry.. That will happen only in your dreams" He said to her hugging her back.

She broke the hug and popped a cake in front of him.

" Yaar.. I am not a kid.. " He said to her while she ignored him and lit the candle.

"Make a wish.. And cut the cake.. " She said to him while he about to say something while Avni interrupted.

"If you don't wanna cut your cake...Its okay I respect that...but It will straightly fall on your handsome face.. Because I don't wanna get my money wasted.. " She said as like threatening him while he looked at her shockingly.

"Cut it " She said as like ordering him.

"Atleast you admitted that I am handsome.. " He never wants to leave a chance.

"I got slipped.. " She twisted her lips while he pulled her cheeks.

She cut the cake and fed her while she did the same and he remembered his childhood memories again hugged her.

"Thank You..so much Avni... I really mean it.. " He said to her while he blinked his eyes continuously to avoid his tears.

"It's been a long time...since I celebrated my birthday.. And I really miss ...one person alot... My Bebe.. " He said to her while his voice were breaking.

She just caressed his hairs as like mother listening to him silently. It's the first time he opened up and told to her something.

" Don't worry... From now on.. We will celebrate your birthday together... Bebe will be happy seeing her grandson happy now.." She said to him while her words were like comforting him. He wiped his tears before breaking the hug and looked at her.

"She must be really proud of me.. Doesn't she? " She asked him while he chuckled and nodded.

"Yess.. But must be pitying me more as I am handling you ... " He laughed saying to her and her expression cracked him more.

"You know what... " Before she could say he spoke.

" You hate me... I know.. And I hate you too.. " He said to her while she huffed her.

"May be I should get settled in France itself... I was very peaceful there... You won't be getting your gift... Byee.. " She stood up and left faking her anger.

"Avni... Avni... Wait!... " He laughed so hard and followed her.

When He entered the room, his face was welcomed by the pillow and avni then burst into laughter.

"Don't try me Avni... " He said huffing keeping his hands on the either side of his waist.

"Don't try me Avni.. " She mimicked him still laughing making annoyed.

"Wait.. Let me show you.. " He said taking the pillow on his hand and started chasing her while she started running.

They were playing running all over the room. While Neil hold her hand and just pulled her and made her lean against the wall. They were panting and was looking into each other.

While he lifted his pillow as he gonna hit her while Avni closer her eyes tightly making herself uber cute. Neil smiled widely looking at her cute face. And put the pillow down.

He moved his face a little closer.

"Please accept your defeat ... " He said while Avni opened her eyes and looked at him smirking while his face were closer.

They were looking into each other eyes . Avni looked away and looked at his hand which rested against the wall blocking the way. She again looked at him. His gaze travelled from her eyes to the mole on her upper lips and finally on her pinkish lips. He cleared his throat looking away controlling himself and turned back to move.

Avni looked down and find the pillow. She picked it up.

"Neil.. " She called him while he turned and she again throw pillow on his face and started running.

"Avni!!!... I will not leave you this time for sureee!! " He shouted running behind her. Their never ending Tom and Jerry Saga continued.
