You quickly turned around to face your father who was calling you a few times already.

"Are you still daydreaming over there?"

You shook your head and continue to look on the road. Of course the road is hectic, it's holiday season.

"So, do you have anything in your mind that you want?" He asked again.

"I..." You don't really know what to request from him. It's not like you don't have anything that you want but, it's probably not necessary. "Are you going to be busy even during Christmas, To-san?"

He looked at you who's beside him at the passenger seat and ruffles your hair. "Of course not. Who wants to work during holiday, right? Plus, I'm a teacher. Not a businessman or a doctor that is busy the whole time."

You always busy despite being a teacher, you monologue within your heart. "Then...can we just spend some time together? It's been a while since..."

He sighed and force a smile. "Sure. Let's dine out during Christmas night, going to the funfair the next morning and we can visit the shrine during new year." He suggested.

You look at him excitedly. "Really?"

"Of course. If we get a chance, let's visit Oji-san too. I want to light up some lanterns there."

"For Oba-san?"

"Yeah."

"Speaking of that...I read Oba-san's diary before..." You told him.

"Is that so? What about it?"

"There's a legend at that river, light a lantern and put a paper with a message in it and that wish will be granted. Also, the message will be delivered to the deceased, right?"

He smiled under his mask. "I don't know if it's real but..."

"But you still do it, right?" You said while looking at him. "To-san hope that legend is real, right?"

"You already caught me."

You want to believe in that legend as well. You want to light lanterns too, of course for your grandmother and Deidara, but you still want to make a wish as well. Who knows... if it's real, it's a big win.

After went shopping with your father, both of you spent a lot of time together, playing games, cooking together, enjoyed late night movies and fall asleep in the living room. It's been like that until Christmas but during the day, you mostly went out to attend the Higanbana meetings.

During Christmas night, you really enjoyed dinner at what you can say fairly a three star restaurant. Both of you enjoyed western food which you rarely had. But, it's not just the two of you there, your mother and her family came as well. It was Obito's treat so it's fine.

You got to know that you have two half brothers and a sister. The eldest is Uchiha Makoto, he's younger only by a year compared to you. Uchiha Reena, a 14 years old sister and the youngest is 7 years old Uchiha Mingyu. You remembered that this child is the one you saw when you went to supermarket with your father last year.

And for Makoto...did you see him anywhere before? Probably not. He has crow black hair that is neatly short and he wore an ear piercing at his left ear. He has the face of that very innocent boy that obeys all of his parents words but somehow...he seems like a delinquent, a quiet one to be honest. Just like Mitsuya, has a very gentle and domestic looks but...yeah. He's a tiger with hidden claws for sure.

You were like agitated to know about your younger siblings and all of you get along well very fast. It's very nice to finally know that you have siblings and they welcomed you with open hands as well. Makoto went to school at Roppongi, not very far from your place but still consume some time to go there. He also told you that maybe he might need your help in his study which makes your smile drop.

You were struggling very hard in your study as well and he really thought that you're that kind of cool and smart older sis?! No! Not at all! Your marks is not considered as bad but especially not good too! It is still not enough marks, based on what your father told you.

For not able to say no, you still agree with his request. Well, your father insisted you to help him as well.

After that dinner, you bid your farewell at the others and went back with your father.

At home, you quickly went to the living room, already prepared to play some games when your father sit next to you. He throw away his mask and rummage through his pocket before shoving something to you.

It was a blue velvet box with a cute silver ribbon on top of it.

"This is my present to you, my daughter."

You almost forgot about present! You halted him and quickly run up your room, take the present that you already prepared for him from your closet and run down again. Finally exchange presents with him.

He take that medium sized box from you and was stunned. "Wow... it's...big.  Very big!"

What he said is definitely true if it compared with his present to you, it is still true if it is to compare with what you gave him before as well.

You chuckle. "I have a part-time job, so I really have extra money."

He ruffles your hair and smile, "It seems I don't have to give you any allowance later on-"

"Oto-san!!!"

"I'm just joking...I mean, who else I've been earning for if it is not for you?" He said with a gentle smile.

"Thank you, Oto-san..." You said after opening his present. It was a pretty and exquisite looking watch. Silver metal band with some soft purple shiny beads, your name engraved on the band...it was so cute! He really ordered this specially for you.

"Thank you for the present too, my daughter." He said after unwrapped his present as well. There's a set of male accessories in there, belt, necktie, wallet, t-shirt and watch. It cost quite a lot but it's worth it. With his field of carrier, you know he will use all of this a lot.

"I already informed your Oji-san about our visit later. We will first go to the shrine in the morning, pray and we'll be on our way to his place. How's the plan?" He asked while reaching his hand to pick up the controller.

You pick up the other controller and asked him, "Tekken?"

"Other than that?"

"God of War? RE?" You asked again.

"Are you really gonna let me watch while you have the whole fun? No. 2P please."

You giggled at him before starting a two player war game where both player will be comrades during wars of clans and nations.

"Dynasty Warriors...good choice, young lady." He said after picking his hero. Which is actually a heroine.

"Oto-san surely love using a female character, huh?" You said and pick your hero as well.

"And you love to use a male avatar. That's fair, right? Female characters focus on agility and magic points while male characters focus on strength and defense. Having both is more like a strategy, right?"

You know despite him being a teacher, he still have that young blood. He knows a lot about games, online or offline, what young people do and of course, he's a king in technology as well. Despite being in his forty already, he really looks like a twenty young man.

After starting the game, you asked him again. "How many days we will be there?"

"A week."

Good. Because the war might happen after that.

After praying at the shrine, you hop into the car with your father go straight into the highway to visit your grandfather. It takes hours, plus the chilling winter made it feels even longer.

Arrived at your grandfather's house, he was so excited and quickly welcomed the two of you in. That night, your grandfather, Sakumo cooked a lot of delicious dishes that the three of you enjoyed so much. It was a tiring journey but you and your father still slept late for chatting with Sakumo.

You also told him about your achievement in martial arts which he praises you, saying that you're the real inheritor of the Hatake blood.

The next day, you went to the river to watch the sunset there. It was so quiet and peaceful there. Your father was supposed to be there as well but something came up so it's just you alone there.

You already have your letter, containing your wishes to fly it with your lantern.

You clasped your hands together tightly while looking at the lantern floating into the dark sky, "I hope, I can meet up with Itachi-kun, Sasori...and Deidara again. I want the four of us to always be together."

After you said your wish, you still look up at the starry night that makes your orbs shines, reflecting the lights from those little gems hanging on the sky.

After the lantern was flew away, he said his wish. "I hope we can always be together. Forever and always."

After staring at that lantern which is very high in the sky now, he let out a sigh.

Then, he heard the footsteps behind him and he immediately know who it was. So, he just asked, "Dr. Xiao Ling, what is it?"

"Mr. Uchiha..." The Chinese man with his spectacles muttered, "...did you wish for your health just now? I'm sure you'll be just fine, Mr. Uchiha."

Itachi sighed again. "If I die, it's not like I care about it so much. But seeing others weeping for me is sad. However, if fate has their eyes on me, even after the 100th reincarnation, my wish will be true, no matter how ridiculous it is, right, Dr. Xiao?"

That doctor who's in charge for Itachi's condition just let out a frustrating sigh. "It is what it is... Basically every universe are the same, the livings will taste the bitterness or delightful departure, the rich will rule while the poor will struggle, the strong will fight while the weak will endure and that's how it is. When a life is born, death is a must, without rich man, the pauper will never exist, if the weaklings never born, the strong will never have a place in this world. What's important is our own will and hope. If you wish to live, then fight for it. If you want it to end, then rest. It is what it is..."

Itachi smirked.
