-3'rd person POV-

The pink haired girl pushes the dragon slayer and small exceed onto the train despite all the protest from the dragon slayer. As they get on the train the man turns green just at the thought of being in a moving vehicle makes him sick. Once the girl settles into the seat with the exceed the dragon slayer falls into a heap next to her as the train has started moving. His head rests on her lap as he snores quietly through the ride. Luna plays with is hair without realizing it as she stares out the window watch the earth as it passes by. All the colors a blur to her as her eyes begin to fill with tears. She has no idea why tears are rolling down her face, but she wipes them away. The small exceeds says nothing as she hugs her holding her close so she can feel her warm embrace. Gale being able to smell the new scent of salty water groans and opens his eyes rubbing the as he rolls onto his back he crimson eyes looking up at Luna's emerald ones.

"Something the matter?" He asks

"No." Was all she could give

"What's with the tears?"

She just shrugs her shoulders truly not know why tears are forming in her eyes and falling from her cheeks. The dragon slayer sits himself up his face still green and his stomach still churning. He tries to push his motion sickness aside to help his best friend who's tears are now falling faster. As her tears fall faster the train moves slower. Luna wipes her tears and puts a smile on her face standing up and walking out of the train. Gale is confused by his partner's actions but walks after her as fast as he can desperate to get off the moving steel death trap. Once off the train, he wraps his arm around Luna's waist pulling her off to the side Lily in her arms with a confused look on her face. He finds a spot where they can talk in private. He turns the girl to face him a mad protective look.

"Alright, I want to know what's up. You were crying on the train and I want to know why." He says

"I don't know. I really don't know I was just looking outside the train watching the earth go by and playing with your hair and all of a sudden I was crying. I think my emotions are finally catching up with me." She says

"Well, I'm not surprised the last 24 hours were a bit rough for you." Was his reply

"Ummm, it might be a bit longer than that..." She trails off

"Well, how long have you been denying your emotions?"

"Around twelve years."

Her answer shocks the dragon slayer and the exceed as the both look at her in shock as she reads the flyer over and over again trying to avoid their gazes. She start's to walk away her shoulders straight and her mind focused the dragon slayer follows after her with the exceed on his head. They make their way to the house which the owner of the request lives the exceed making silly jokes and talking with the pink haired girl making her smile leaving the dragon slayer along with his thoughts which unlike his father aren't on eating or his wife.

Twelve years. Since she was three she's felt like an outcast. A child so small has pushed her emotions down inside her. No one should ever have to go through that...

His thoughts are cut short when one his companions let out a shriek like a sixth sense he instantly moves in front of the two blocking them from the... frog? He's confused as to why his friend screamed at the tiny creature so he looks back to them their faces amused and they are both holding in laughs.

"What...?" He asks clearly confused

Both the females bust out laughing the exceed falling off the head of Luna as she doubles over holder her stomach. Tears form in her eyes as she laughs harder nearly falling to her knees. Lily rolls on the ground her paws covering her mouth trying to keep more laughs from escaping but is failing.

"What's... So funny...?" He asks

"Y-you are." Luna gasps outs

"How?"

The poor dragon slayer is still so confused as to why they are laughing at him. Luna looks at him again trying to be serious but burst out laughing when she sees the confused face on her dragon pal.

"We did that on purpose." Lily says from the ground once she can gain control of her laughing and breathing

"Your reaction was priceless when you saw the small frog instead of some monster." Luna says holding her stomach

Gale grumbles and gets a sour look on his face that disappears when he realizes Luna is smiling again and not a fake one a real smile

I love that smile...

Is the first thought that pops into his head. He shakes the thought away knowing it will haunt him later. He picks up his cat and grabs Luna by the waist pulling her along trying to find the house which they are supposed to meet the requester of the mission. After getting them lost a few times Luna takes over finding the house fast and just before dark. They knock on the door waiting for an answer. A small boy opens the door.

"Who are you?" He questions

"Fairy Tail wizards replying to this request." Gale says taking the flyer from Luna showing the small child

"Show me your emblems." He demands

Gale pulls his shirt sleeve up a bit and moves his should forward and down showing the small boy the black emblem. Lily turns and plus part of her shirt up revealing her black emblem. The boy looks to Luna who bites her lip and looks very uncomfortable as the little boy raises his eyebrow.

"So miss pinky isn't a member of Fairy Tail? Is she even a mage?: He asks cockily

This upsets the girl and ticks Gale off. He picks the little kid up by his shirt bringing him face to face with an angry dragon slayer. The little boy already scared because his feet are two feet off the ground begins to cry causing an older gentleman to walk out the door.

"Excuse me what are you doing with Master Danel?" He asks prying the boy away from Gale

"We are here for the mission about the pest that grows ten times their size." Luna says

"Ah yes the Fairy Tail wizards please please come in and do make yourself a comfortable as you know the pest doesn't grow until dark so please feel free to do what you wish til then." He says leading the three into the house as he shows them around.

The small boy clings to the butler's leg still scared of the blue haired boy.

"I assume that you three would like to rest a bit from your long train ride to here so this will be your room." he says pushing a door open

The trio steps it the room a decent size bed sits against the wall and under the window with a chair and a table. Luna drops her bag next to the chair and falls on the bed cuddling the pillow as lily climbs next to her replacing the pillows spot while Gale sits on the chair watching the pair as they sleep leaving him to his thoughts again.

Sometimes I wonder how she makes through every day. Mom and dad would tell me that Natsu was the one to preach about family all the time and here he is downing his own kid. She is so strong...

The boy is again pulled from his thoughts when Danel opens the door and motions for him to follow. The blue haired boy gets up ad leaves the room as quietly as he can trying not to wake the sleeping bodies on the bed. He looks down at the boy.

"What do you want?" He says still a bit ticked

"Why do you guys have a none mage in your guild?" Danel asks

Gale growls at the small child making him back up and hides behind a pot in the hall

"Listen up kid she's a very special girl."

"Why? Because you like her?" He teases

"No you little brat both her parents are very strong mages, but Luna was born without magic, of her own. Both her older siblings have magic, but for some reason, she doesn't have any. she's been checked out by so many doctors and wizards but nothing so you better knock it off before I kick your ass." He says still growling

The little boy nods and runs away thinking about what a bad idea it was to talk to the boy he should have gone to the cat. Gale decides to walk around the town and try to see if he can find out any more information on the pest that was terrorizing the town. He finds out that they only come out on nights with a full moon or on a moonless night and tonight is a full moon. With this information, he heads back to wake the two and get on with the mission. They head out the two girls still tired and yawning trying to rub the sleep out if their eyes. The moon is full and shining down on the time as the move their bodies to the woods looking for any signs of the pest they were after. They come upon a bare spot in the woods Luna stops looking around at the ground and trees forcing Gale and Lily to stop.

"What are you doing Luna?" Lily asks

"Something's not right here I can feel it." She says

"You probably just need to pass some gas." Gale says standing with his hands in his pockets

"No, and gross Gale be serious Something's not right..." She trails off taking a closer look at the ground

Lily and Gale wait patiently as the girl kneels on the ground look very closely at it and running her hands over it.

"I KNEW IT!" She yells startling the other two

"What?" The ask in unison

"This wasn't natural someone or something made this place bare. Other plants and trees were rotted here." She says

"So what?" Gale says

Luna gets up and drags him to the trees surrounding the bare area

"Look here dummy. Scratch marks not from any usual animals around here they are too long and the spaces in between each scratch are too big. Whatever we are after is big and we are near its living grounds." Luna explains to the dragon slayer and exceed. While tracing over the scratch marks

"Looks like all that reading finally paid off." Gale says

"There is no way you can tell me you hate books or reading." Luna says

"I agree with Luna on this one." Lily says flying over to Luna on her head

"I never said I didn't."  Gale says a bit annoyed

"You were thinking it." Luna says

"I was not. do you know who my mom is? She would kill me if I hated reading." Gale replies

"Yeah, I know I was just yanking your chain. Calm down a bit." Luna replies

Gale lets out a sigh while Luna and Lily giggle a bit before going back to looking around some more. Gale just kind of walks around while Lily flies Luna above the tree looking for some sort of something. While walking around Gale smells something but can't put his finger on it as well as the smell he hears something, but before he can Do anything Luna is pushing him to the ground.

"Get down!" She yells just as a giant something whizzes above their heads.  

Gale should be more worried that he couldn't sense whatever it was coming, but he's more worried about the girl laying on top of him.
