~Luna POV~

"And Fairy Tail's Obstacle course time is..." 

We all hold our breath as Toma pause to open the small envelope. 

"Thirty minutes and twenty-seven seconds! The top spot for the day!" He yells 

The breaths we've been holding are let out in loud cheers are we jump from the stands and race down towards the team. Once I get close enough I jump at Layla wrapping my arms around her as her own go around my waist. 

"You did it, sis! I'm so proud of you!" I yell at her but regret it when I see her whine a bit 

"Thanks. I can't believe we got the top place!" She yells 

I get shoved out of the way as Nash pulls her into a hug. I trip over someone's foot and my face smashes into a very very hard object. Soon after a strong arm wraps around me and lifts me up bringing me face to chest with Kai. 

"Well hello, there first place." I say craning my head to look up 

He scoffs and rolls his eyes before walking off. 

"How rude! Just like your father!" I yell at his retreating back before I get picked up and spun around. I scream and laugh at the same time while beating the pair of arms wrapped around my waist. 

"Stop but me down! You're not the only one who get's motion sick too!" I yell

"Huh? How come I never knew that?" Natsu says and I tense up. 

"Maybe because you never took the time to get to know me." I say wriggling out of his arms and crossing my arms over my chest my bangs falling over my eyes.

He reaches out and pushes them over before playing with my pigtails. 

"Ya know you're mom used to wear her hair like this. Still does every now and then." He says completely clueless like always. 

I duck and retract my hair from his grasp seeing Gale giving me a look just waiting for me to tell him to help me. I slightly shake my head and he goes back to the conversation with his family. Both him and Gajeel staring Natsu down. If looks could kill Natsu would have exploded into a thousand pieces a million times over again. 

"Yeah, I know. She's the only parent who decided to get to know my and not the fact that I don't have magic." I say snapping a bit at the end. 

"Listen, kiddo. I never really cared about the magic thing..."

"Yeah, you communicated that well." I snap 

"Luna! Just listen alright!" He yells at me grabbing my arm and squeezing tightly making me wince "I don't care! You are still my daughter and I care about you!" His arm tightens surely to leave a bruise. I look over to Gale seeing him and his father already charging over here. 

Gajeel rips Natsu away from me but sadly his grip on my arm never loosens and I move with him tripping over my feet then hitting the ground. I groan as the rough concrete scratches at my elbows and face. I push myself to my feet holding my face with one hand and my elbow with the other Lia comes over to me with Emma and they pull me away towards the hotel. I look over my shoulder to see Levy and Lucy trying to hold back their dragon slayer partners until Gale steps in front of my view.  Lia pulls me into a bathroom and starts cleaning my elbows and my face. Once I'm all bandaged and clean she gives me a small sucker like I'm a three-year-old who just got a shot. 

"How old am I three?" I ask 

"Do you want me to take it back?" She asks and I quickly deny her by shoving the sucker in my mouth and walking out of the bathroom. 

"So what was he talking to you about?" Gale asks sitting on the smallest chair in the room. 

"You know the usually the existence of human life and how magic came to be a part most everyone's day to day life." I say stretching out on the couch. He gives me a look and I sigh 

"He said and I quote 'Listen, kiddo. I never really cared about the magic thing...' And 'Luna! Just listen alright! I don't care! You are still my daughter and I care about you!' Happy?" 

"Not really." He grumbles

"Gale I know you're my best friend and my super over protective brother but let's have Gajeel play overprotective relative so I can sit here and listen to you tell me all about the obstacle course Mr. Top Time Of The Day." I say 

"You know same old same old." He says 

"Same old same old? How many obstacle courses that determine whether or not you can move into the main event and defend the title of Fiore's greatest guild have you been in?" I ask raising an eyebrow 

"You know a couple over the years. I guess with my age I forget how many I competed in especially back in my day." He says to which I throw a pillow at him. 

"Please, you're like a year older than me. You're not that old yet." I say rolling my eyes 

He goes to say something but the door slams open which causes me to jump a mile high and fall off the couch. Gale helps me up as Gajeel stormes past us with a very tired and worn down looking Levy behind him. She gives me a small hug and a kiss on the cheek before following the iron dragon into their room. Only now do I realize the time of the day. 

"Hey, they should be finishing the rest of the results." I say turning on the tv lacrima.

"And here are the final results for today." Toma says then the screen switches 

Fairy Tail ........................... Thirty minutes and twenty-seven seconds

Lamia Scale ...................... Thirty-two minutes 

Broken Wings .................... Thirty-two minutes and ten seconds 

Sabertooth ....................... Thirty-three minutes and fifty-five seconds

Blue Pegasus .................... Thirty-eight minutes and eleven seconds 

Mermaid heel .................... Forty minutes and fifty-one seconds

Heavens Ashes .................. Forty-six minutes 

Crime Sorcière .................. Forty-six minutes and fifty-nine seconds
