📜 GENERAL ARGUMENT

The night is long and sin abounds, capable of engulfing you and turning you into a faithful atheist. William Logan spends long nights lost in his thoughts and books, unable to sleep; you could blame it on a life he tries to hide or his recent obsession with a fifteen-years-old girl. Whatever the reason, it was punishment material, and not even flogging would be enough to quell the fire that crackled in his chest every time he delighted in the figure of Pippa Catton-Wood.

The only solution Logan could find to his problem was voluntary corruption. And if God allowed it, he would be reborn as a new man, repentant, willing to never fall into such depravity again.

But the flesh is weak and the blood is thick, and Pippa Catton-Wood was more than a passing sin, she was a torment, the representation of temptation takes shape, sent to earth by the Devil to sow discord among those who long for a courtship.

Pippa, like a goddess crowned with laurels, was, is, and always will be, the biggest stain on William Logan's record, and only God, unique and omnipresent, was witness to that secret story, hidden and buried in the confines of Wallace York.

 And it all began with a possessed man, a girl at his mercy, and the promise of something that would give meaning to their lives, in the midst of a context almost as tragic and terrifying as their story itself.
