After waking up and checking your phone to see what time it is, you got out of your bed, put on a hoodie and jeans, and left your room.

After eating some canned fruit, you left the house and saw a couple of "Them" in front of the gate, wandering and groaning.

"Move."

Instead of attacking you, "they" apparently "listen" to you and move out of the way.

You walked through the city which has thousands of undead walking around, but you kept on walking as you went to a store, where you grabbed batteries, food, weapons, and other necessary items for your house.

As you went back outside, you saw "Them" devouring a corpse, causing you to have a flashback of when your parents and sister told you to run as "They" were about to swarm them.

As you grabbed your head, you heard their voices screaming and crying. Some of "Them" were drawn to the noise of the bags falling.

You looked down and saw one of the guns on the ground. You grabbed it and loaded it as you saw "them" getting closer.

"I'm fading anyway. My ability didn't show until after I ran. I'm all alone. I don't like this world anymore."

You then heard gunshots and saw "them" on the ground, not getting up. You heard a vehicle moving from afar, and you looked to see a Humvee getting closer.

The Humvee stopped, and four women and two men exited it and look around. You looked at the gun you were holding and aimed it at your head.

"Put the gun down."

You saw a tall and beautiful woman with waist-length blond hair running toward you.

"Please, put the gun down. Just talk to me."

You saw a vision of your sister holding her hand out, gesturing for you to stop. You shed a tear and put down the gun.

"Thank you," the woman said.

"May I ask your name?"

"My name is Shizuka Marikawa. What's your name?"

"Y/N L/N. I thought I was the only one alive in this place."

Shizuka: "That's so sad. Are you alone?"

"Yeah. It's pretty much been that way for months. Who are your friends?"

Shizuka: "Oh, those are Takashi Komuro, Rei Miyamoto, Kohta Hirano, Saya Takagi, and Saeko Busujima, and inside the car is Alice Maresato. We've all been together for a while."

Saya: "Of course, just tell a random stranger everything about us. What could possibly happen?"

"They" appeared near Saya and were about to devour her, but you put your hand out and "they" stop.

"Go."

"They" turn around and walked away, leaving everyone in the group surprised by what just happened. Shizuka hugged you and patted your head.

Shizuka: "That was so cool. Thank you for helping Ms. Saya."

Saeko: "We need to go somewhere safe. It's going to be dark soon. Do you have somewhere we can stay?"

"I do, but it's nothing fancy. I'll show you."

You hopped in the Humvee and gave the directions to your house. Shizuka parked the Humvee in the garage and everyone went inside the house.

Everyone was surprised by the amount of supplies you have, and they all ate while you sat down and tried to see if you could find anything watchable on TV.

Saeko: "Just turn it off. That ain't coming back for anyone anytime soon."

You sadly turned off the TV.

Takashi: "How long have you been on your own?"

"Nearly a year."

Kohta: "Wow! And that power of yours helped a lot with moving around this place, right?"

"Yep."

Shizuka: "Y/N, why don't you come with us?"

"Do you really want an extra mouth to feed?"

Takashi: "It's not safe to be on your own. I understand that you don't trust us, but I think everyone would have a better chance of surviving this shitty world if they stick together."

Shizuka: "Come with us. There's no reason you should be all by yourself."

You looked out the window and saw your sister nodding.

"Alright. I know my sister would want me to keep going."

Shizuka: "Thank you."

Takashi: "We should leave soon. I think we've already caused enough commotion here."

"Yeah. Sound travels well here."

Everyone packed up as many supplies as they can take before getting back into the Humvee. They all left as you looked back and you saw the city moving further away.

They stopped at a hotel to rest for the night. As everyone slept, you sat on the roof and looked at the sea. All the while, you heard footsteps getting closer.

Shizuka: "You should get some sleep. It'll be a long way before we reach any safe places."

"I still can't believe my family is dead. How come I'm alive while they died?"

Shizuka walked up to you and hugged you.

Shizuka: "Cause as you said, they wanted you to live. So live for them."

You began to cry as you hugged Shizuka back.
