(Ravine POV)

"Daddy, did Sash sleep with you inside the room?" Ally asked during breakfast.

"Um...yes he did but he slept on the spare mattress that I have inside my room. He and I just had a drink and I couldn't let him drive in a drunken state because it's too dangerous." I said, trying to sound convincing enough.

"Oh!" Ally said.

"Please, I'm not that stupid. I knew you guys did a lot more than sleep in there." Roman said before pouring maple syrup on his pancakes. 

"Roman, I am not going to admit to something that I didn't do. I don't know what you're talking about." I said as I was trying my best to deny his true assumptions.

"Whatever!" He sass-mouthed.

"Hey bud! Don't talk to your daddy like that." Sash said to him.

"I mean, if you guys are going to do it, there's no problem but at least have a little integrity and stop with all this pretentious crap." Roman said.

I was about to scold him when Sash stopped me.

"It's okay, Vinny! I got it." He said to me before turning his attention to Roman. "Bud, I knew you don't want being treated like a kid. It's pretty aggravating when people baby you sometimes, right? But you have to understand that even though you might think like you are old enough to know about these things, you still aren't and that is the truth of the matter. These kinds of stuff that you want to know about are too much of a private and intimate things and don't you think it would be quite awkward to both you and Ally for us to discuss what your dad and I do behind closed doors?" Sash said eloquently.

"I guess."

"Let's reverse the situation, shall we? If you grow up and you meet this really beautiful and charming girl and you married her. Do you really think your dad and I will care to know what you and your future wife will do in the privacy of your own bedroom? Are you going to tell stories about it?" Sash asked.

"Ew, no! That's too embarrassing." Roman exclaimed.

"There you go. That's how your dad and I feel too if we are going to share it to people. There are things that should not be discussed to children at your age, even if you mature enough because it's too off-putting to share that kind of information to your friends and family, don't you think so?" Sash said.

"Yes, of course." Roman answered politely.

"Now, like the polite boy you are, apologize to your dad for answering back to him." Sash said with sternness in his voice.

"I'm so sorry, dad!" Roman apologized to me.

"It's okay. Just watch your language in front of Ally. Don't be a bad influence to her. You should be the one setting an example for your younger sister." I said.

"Yeah!" Roman said before putting the small piece of pancake in his mouth with his fork.

"Anyway, don't you guys have to go to school or something?" Sash asked.

"It's a Saturday, Sash!" I said.

"Oh yeah, right! Anyway, I have a special surprise for you, Roman and also for you, Ally." Sash said before standing up and rushing outside, probably to get something from his car. After a few minutes, he finally went back with two things. He gave Roman, what it looks to be like a legit Night-vision device or a Night-vision goggle if I am not mistaken and Roman reacted with an exaggerated excitement.

"Whoa! This is so badass! Thank you so much." He gushed over it.

Sash then turned his attention to Ally and gave her an autograph signed Vinyl record of Olivia Rodrigo. Ally covered her mouth both in shock and happiness before giving Sash a choking hug.

"Alright, alright! That's enough. You'll kill him, Ally." I joked.

Ally then took it from Sash's hands and kissed the record. I am going to have to bring out the old phonograph that I inherited from my grandfather and hopefully, it will still work. Roman and Ally got so distracted that they didn't mind their food anymore.

"Hey now! You two! Calm down, both of you can do whatever you want if you finish your breakfast right now." I said and they did as they were told before rushing off to their respective rooms, probably to try it or call their friends and brag about it.

"Look what you've done. You spoiled them too much." I giggled.

"Oops, my bad!" Sash said.

"Anyway, thank you for being patient and educating my Roman. He needed that. You truly are a father-material." I said.

"I try." Sash winked.

I don't know what it is but Sash arriving in my life once again is starting to do wonders for me and my family. It looks like he's a nice addition here and I think I wouldn't mind if he becomes the stepfather to my children someday.
