Chapter 76: Money can't buy class

(Ravine POV)

Someone rang the doorbell and fearing it would be Sash again, I hurried my way towards the door with my pissed off face this time. I opened it and to my shock, it wasn't Sash but it was Craig actually.

"Hey!" He said.

"What are you doing here and how did you know where I live?" I asked.

"Ravine, you're a famous celebrity. All I had to do is google your address and voila." He laughed.

"You think it's funny for people like you to stalk me and invade my privacy? Money really can't buy class." I shaded and I was about to slam the door but he stopped me from doing so.

"Uh-uh, not so fast!" He said.

"What?! Do you people have any idea how creepy you act sometimes? Googling my address and disturbing my peace? Really now?" I berated him.

"Relax. I told you I am not going to let you go that easily this time. All I wanted to ask you is if you are a big fan of Olivia Rodrigo. That's it." He said.

"What does that have to do with anything?" I said.

"Just answer the question, damn it!" He snapped, making me flinch.

"I am not but my daughter is." I replied to him.

"It turns out I have 4 tickets for you, me and your kids. Do you want it or do you want me to ask someone else?" Craig said.

"How did you even know that Alliah likes Olivia Rodrigo's music?" I asked him.

"Well, it's a lucky guess, I think. Olivia Rodrigo is every pre-teen girls' favorite musician right now and it turns out I was right after all with my prediction." Craig said. "Do you want it or should I ask somebody else?"

I was debating the entire time. I wanted him to get away from me but at the same time, I can't deprive my daughter this chance of a lifetime. She loves this musician and it will be disheartening to deny her this memorable experience.

"Can't you just give me three tickets instead so it'll just be me, Roman and Ally?" I said to him.

"And leave me out of it? Oh no, hahaha, you're not going to get rid of me that easily, as I have said before. If you want the tickets, I have to be there with the three of you. Nothing has to happen. We just have to go there and enjoy the concert." Craig smirked.

"Fine! But just so you know, I am not doing this for you. I am doing this for my daughter." I said as I began finger pointing him.

"Chillax! I know that, geez!" Craig laughed.

"When is the concert?" I asked.

"Saturday, and we have to be there by 8:30 pm sharp. The name of the venue and other crucial information are written on the ticket so no need to ask me." Craig said.

"Fine, I can drive our way there. Let's just meet in front of the arena at 8 pm so that will give us an allowance." I said.

"Sure!"

"Can I have the tickets?" I asked.

"No, you can't. You'll only get the tickets on the day of the concert once you show up at our rendezvous. You think I'm that gullible? I know that if you take your tickets now, there's a huge possibility for you and your kids to arrive there way earlier than our agreed time and once that happens, I am almost sure that I am going to have to wait for nothing because you already managed to ditch me. Sorry, but you can't outsmart me, Vinny." Craig said.

"That's really smart of you but how will I know where the venue is if you're not going to give me those tickets?" I sass mouthed.

"You can look at it right here and maybe write it on your phone so you won't be able to forget it." Craig said while holding the ticket in front of my face for me to take note of some information.

"Great!" I said after finishing my note taking.

"8 pm in front of the arena, Saturday, don't be late." Craig said before I closed the door on him.

Fuck! Won't these crazy guys just leave me the hell alone already?

Saturday...

"Good for you, you look happy and healthy, not me, if you ever care to ask! Good for you, you doing great out there without me, baby! God, I wish that I could do that!" Ally is singing her heart out and dancing to the beat of the music.

Just seeing her having a blast and seeing her favorite artist perform her favorite songs is enough to make me happy. I enjoyed the sight of her having fun and dancing with her brother, Roman.

"Your kids are having the time of their lives over there." Craig pointed.

"I know right." I replied to him.

"You having fun?" He asked.

"I'm having fun by just seeing them having fun." I replied.

"Good." He said.

"Are you a fan of Olivia Rodrigo?" I asked.

"I wouldn't call myself a die-hard fan but there's this one song of hers that I can't just stop singing and listening to and the title is Déjà vu if I am not mistaken." Craig said.

"Oh nice!" I said.

"It really is great to hang out with you again, Vinny." Craig said. "I missed you so much."

"Ditto." I smiled before we went on, enjoying the concert until the very end.
