(Ravine POV)

I am currently wearing a slim fit purple velvet tuxedo on the red carpet with my two kids. I was busy giving photographers some angles when all of a sudden, Roman began tapping me on my shoulder.

"Dad, can we go in already? I can't handle all these flashes. It hurts my eyes." He said.

"Oh shoot! I am so sorry!" I said before grabbing my children's hands and making our way towards the entrance of the Dolby Theater. Some photographers asked me to come back but I didn't give a damn about it anymore.

I took them to the corner of the hall and asked them if they're okay. I knelt down so I can look at their faces closely. I cupped my son's face and made sure he was feeling fine.

"I'm so sorry. If you want, I can ask our driver to drive you both back home. Selene will babysit you for the rest of the night if that's okay for both of you?" I said to Roman and Alliah.

"No, it's okay, dad. We'll be here for you." Ally said.

"Are you both sure?" I asked them.

"We're sure, dad! Besides, you promised that you would introduce me to Charlize Theron." Roman said which made me laugh.

"Alright then. I can't introduce you during the show. We have to wait for the after party unless she's here somewhere." I told both of them. As I was trying to roam my eyes around, I spotted a good-looking celebrity and lo and behold, it's Paul Mescal.

"Ally, look! It's your crush. Go say hi to him." I encouraged her then she hid behind me.

"I don't want to."

"Oh come on! Just say hi to him! He won't bite. I'll be over here watching you if something happens, okay?" I said to Ally as I encouraged her to be confident and not to depend on me too much.

"You promise you'll be here?"

"I promise. Just say 'Hi Mr. Mescal, I am a huge fan.' Hurry before he leaves." I said to her and she walked swiftly towards him to introduce herself. I can see the gentleman smiling at her and shaking her little hand. I can partially hear what she's saying and I thought it was so adorable. Before parting ways with him, Paul Mescal was kind enough to give her a high five then Ally ran back towards me with a Pennywise grin on her face.

"He's so nice, dad!" She said before hugging my leg. I looked to my other side to see Roman, only to find him missing. I panicked for a bit before seeing him already chatting with Charlize Theron on the other side of the hall. Roman pointed at me, probably telling her that he's with his dad and Ms. Theron was gracious enough to wave at me and I waved back at her. Afterwards, he then made his way back to me but not before politely kissing Charlize's hand like a true gentleman he is.

"How'd it go?" I asked him.

"It was great. She's so much more beautiful in person." Roman said.

"She is. I agree." I said before ruffling his head.

"Daddy, I have to pee!" Ally said.

"Me too." Roman added.

I helped both of them find where the rest room is and after finding our way to it, I let them do their business before waiting for them outside. As I was patiently waiting, a hand was placed on my shoulder.

I looked to see who it is and to my surprise...it was the former love of my life, Sash Mikey Spencer!

"Fancy seeing you here!" He joked.

"Oh my God! How...How the...How have you been?" I asked in glee.

"I'm fine. Living my best life as you can see and pretty successful. How about you?" He said.

"Pretty successful too if I may say. Turns out that publishing the book wasn't such a bad idea after all." I said.

"I told you! Who are you with?" He asked and then suddenly, my two kids ran to my side and they immediately caught Sash's attention.

"Um...Sash, these are my kids. This is Alliah and this is Roman. Say hi to him, kids." I told them.

"Hi Sash!" They said in a synchronized manner.

"Hi there too!" Sash smiled. God, I missed that smile. "They're cute, how old are they?"

"Roman is 11 while Ally is 10. They're currently in middle school." I said to Sash.

"I see." 

"Who are you with?" I asked him back.

"I'm with Fides and her younger brother!" Sash replied to me.

"Oh, then we can maybe hang out at the after party later?" I said.

"Of course! I would love that." He replied.

"Are you a nominee too?" I asked him.

"Yes and it's for Best Leading Actor in 'Je m'appelle François'." He said, making me blush.

"Nice, I'm also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay so we'll see who wins." I said to Sash.

"Dad, look! They're going in already." Roman said.

"Oh okay! Well then, I guess I'll be seeing you later then."  I told Sash.

"Oh you will." He smirked.

"Best of luck!"

"You too."

Oh my goodness! That is one hell of a plot twist that I didn't see coming.
