Chapter 38: Best wishes
The handsome Sash ^
(Ravine POV)
This is it. Today is the official day of our mock wedding presentation. J.T. and Clare are now busy glamorizing my look in the women's bathroom.
"I'm kind of uncomfortable being here." I said.
"Oh shut up! You're gay so it doesn't make any difference." Clare said, reassuring me.
The suit that J.T.'s mom made looked so elegant. It's even more elegant than what I wore in my high school prom. It's a white satin tux with a floor-length tail coat that is slightly draping over my white pants, which resembles a gown-like outfit. My neck tie is also made out of white silk and since my hair is long, J.T. and Clare got a little bit creative and decided to do a crown braid on me which looked so pretty by the way.
"There we go!" J.T. said as she was spraying women's perfume on me, making me smell dainty and feminine. "Doesn't he look like a pretty girl?"
"Don't you worry now, Ravine! We are going to make Sash fall in love with you." Clare said and I rolled my eyes.
"Speaking of Sash, where is he by the way?" I asked.
"The guys are the one fixing him up. I'll trust the fact that they can get it done." J.T. said.
"Do you know what to say already?" Clare asked.
"My heart is in my throat right now. If I get mental blocked, the whole class is going to kill me because our grades will depend on our performances." I said.
"You'll be fine. If you forget your vows, then improvise it. Just say a bunch of sweet things and don't forget to evoke love through your facial expressions." J.T. said.
"Easy for you to say, you're not the one getting married here." I said.
"You'll be fine. Trust us. Besides, if you worry too much, you'll just end up getting more nervous, sabotaging yourself even more." Clare said.
"Are we done?" I asked.
"I'll just put a little blush on and I am going to leave your lips untouched since it's already perfectly pink." J.T. said before applying a blush on me. After a quick application, she finally declared it finish.
"Alright! Perfect, you look like the most beautiful male bride ever." Clare said.
"Shall we proceed to the classroom? I'm sure everybody's waiting to see you." J.T. said.
"Alright, let's get this over with once and for all."
"Good luck and best wishes!" J.T. winked.
(Sash POV)
I am wearing an all-black tuxedo with silver embellishments and diamonds sewn on it. It is so freaking fancy that I am starting to get self-conscious from all the attention I am getting. Don't get me wrong, it's stunning but I am an "I prefer simple things" kind of guy so this is very new to me.
Jamie-Taylor said she wanted to make me stand out with Ravine so I just agreed to it reluctantly. The boys decided to swipe my hair back so it would look cleaner and more formal. The end result looked like I am going to the Met Gala, not a wedding ceremony.
Anyway, who am I to complain? This is just for a project so I have to do my best because if not, the whole class is going to blame me if we receive a low mark for this. Not to mention this is our final exam so everything is on the line right now.
All of a sudden, I heard cheering and applauses and little did I know, Ravine is already walking through the aisle and passing through the arch with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. Can I just say? Ravine looked so...beautiful.
His braided hair, his natural beauty, his smile and the way he marches in a shy and skittish way made him even more adorable in my eyes and the tux he's wearing is so unique. It almost looks like a tux and gown combined. It suits his slender physique perfectly. He's so pretty he could almost pass as a girl.
As soon as he's in front of me, I lent my arm for him to take and he wrapped his hand around it shyly. I heard whistles and cheers. Ravine looked down in embarrassment as we walked towards the front of the desk where the priest will supposedly bless this marriage.
The mock priest began the ceremonial rites with a lengthy and tedious introduction. Fast forward to our exchange of vows, my heart suddenly lodged in my throat and I began feeling nervous as heck.
"Ravine, with all my heart, you are not only one of the prettiest boys I have ever met. You are the prettiest among all of them. Your shy and introverted nature is what intrigued me to becoming friends with you in the first place. Our experiences and our dynamic elevated my feelings for you throughout the years. I suddenly realized that you are the type of person I'd like to be with for the rest of my life. The sound of your laugh, the way your eyes twinkle when you get excited, the huge smile you give every time you're happy are enough to make my heart skip a beat. I don't care if you have an imperfect teeth because your beautiful smile compensates for it. I would forever love to see that smile every time I wake up. I would forever cherish you and protect you at all costs because I love you to death." I said, meaning majority of the things I said to him.
Ravine's eyes then twinkled after hearing those words out of my mouth and he blushed to the point of turning his face completely red.
(Ravine POV)
As soon as I heard those words from Sash, I was utterly flabbergasted to the extreme. Did he mean some of them? It sure looks like it. I couldn't hold back my grin and suddenly, a tear fell out of my eye because of how beautiful and passionate his speech is. How do I outmatch what he said?
"Sash, from the moment I saw you, I knew then and there that you and I would be good friends because of how funny and humorous you are but I never ever expected that we would come this far, that our friendship would turn into a serious relationship. Never in a million years did I think that a handsome and dashing guy like you would fall in love with an ordinary gay like me. I felt so lucky because with how you look, I'm sure girls would kill just to go out with you so I never dared to think that you would like someone like me, let alone love me. I promise to be the best partner to you. I promise to take care of you. Like every other couple out there, there are passionate and loving moments and I would make the most out of it. Like every other couple, there would also be moments of misunderstanding, I promise to give you space if you need it. I promise to understand you and be there for you in your moments of grief and pain. I promise to love you for the rest of my life and no one else." I declared and Sash gave me the most charming smile ever.
The mock priest then said a bunch of boring and lame stuff that no one even cared to listen to. After a bunch of ceremonial rites, we finally made it to the ring wearing process.
"Take this ring as a symbol of my ever-lasting love towards you and also as a sign of us being together forever though thick and thin." Sash said before putting the ring on my finger.
"Take this ring as a symbol of my never-ending love and commitment to you as my partner and also as a sign of us being there for each other through hardship and comfort." I said before putting it on his finger.
"Ravine Rochester, do you take Sash Mikey Spencer to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do."
"Sash Mikey Spencer, do you take Ravine Rochester to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do."
"I now pronounce you married, you may kiss each other to celebrate the declaration of your marriage."
Sash grabbed my chin gently before planting a soft but passionate kiss on my lips and I returned the same enthusiasm.
The rest of the students stood up and applauded us loudly. Miss Lopez also joined. Sash and I pulled away and looked at each other with dumbfounded looks. We can't break out of character, not yet so we both covered the awkwardness with a smile. We faced the audience and held each other's hands and did a majestic bow.
"Excellent Job!" Miss Lopez commended and we just stood there relishing the moment. It's over finally.
