Chapter 13

It's been a year now since Dipper mysteriously disappeared in the woods that night.

Well, at least that's what everyone thinks what happened.

He never came back from the 'camp' Grunkle Stan sent him off to, and they haven't found him since then.

Everyone in Gravity Falls cried over Dipper's 'death' when they found out, even Gideon who quoted, "It should've been me who killed him!"

The truth was, Dipper left his family to become partners with the dream-demon, Bill Cipher, and became one as well in the process.

And what ever happened to Dipper Pines?

Well...

===============================

Bill kept his promise to not hurt the Pines family, but that didn't stop him from making deals with other people.

Bill would normally be causing mischief in town, and in the meantime Dipper didn't have much to do.

He sometimes liked to take naps or play around with his magic in the cave, but the thing he did most was visit his family and friends.

Times with Wendy:

Dipper officially got over his crush on Wendy because he knew that being part demon just brought his chances even lower.

Besides, he had a new crush now (after spending more time with a certain someone).

But that didn't stop him from visiting her every once and while.

He'd secretly follow Wendy and her friends whenever they would go out and do some crazy fun things.

He'd watch Wendy smile and laugh with her friends, which made him smile as well.

And whenever he noticed that Wendy got bored of what they were doing, he would find a way to scare them a bit with his magic.

Dipper and Wendy would laugh together, but Wendy will never know that.

Times with Soos:

With being the new manager of the Mystery Shack, and now married to Melody, Dipper couldn't find a lot of time to hang out with Soos.

Instead, Dipper liked to play with their daughter, Daisy.

One day, Daisy had found Dipper snooping around in the Shack, and he's been her 'ghost friend' ever since.

Dipper accepted that he was caught and would sometimes come to the Shack and play with her till he had to leave.

Like Bill had to Dipper, Dipper had given Daisy a nickname.

He would always call her 'Princess', because of her brown hair and her name reminded him of a certain video game character.

Dipper still made time for Soos though.

He would send him new ideas for the Mystery Shack to his mind, which would become great new attractions.

The only thing is that, Soos never exactly knows how he thinks up these new ideas.

Times with Grunkle Stan and Ford:

Dipper didn't really visit his Grunkles very often, being out to sea and all.

He would sometimes teleport onto to their boat and summon unthinkable creatures for them to investigate, but that was really just it.

Though, Dipper did wish to meet his Grunkle Ford.

So he did.

And in person.

One night, Dipper crept into Ford's dream and introduced himself.

"So you're my nephew? I thought you were dead?!" Ford said in shock.

"Nope! And you must be the author of the journals! It's a pleasure finally meeting you!" Dipper said, shaking Ford's hand.

"What happened to you? Don't you know that everyone thinks you're dead?!"

Dipper sighed and rolled his eyes, "It's a long story."

Dipper told Ford all about how he became a dream-demon and the deal he made with Bill.

"Fascinating!" Ford said, intrigued by the story.

"And don't you ever want to come home Dipper?"

"Of course I do!" Dipper said sadly.

"But I have this." Dipper showed the mark on his hand, "So I can't go back."

"I see..." Ford said, scratching his chin.

Dipper came over and gave his Grunkle a hug, "Don't feel bad, I'm glad I met you Grunkle Ford."

"It was a pleasure meeting you too Dipper." Ford said as he hugged his nephew.

"See ya around Sixer!" Dipper said as he left his dream.

But before he did, Dipper erased Ford's memory of the dream.

Dipper sighed, "It's for the best."

Times with Mabel:

As you probably all know by now, Mabel kept her secret and she's the only one who knows what really happened to Dipper.

Mabel knitted a sweater with a pine tree in the front and the constellation of the Big Dipper in the back in honor of her brother.

She wore it every night to bed, whether it was freezing cold or melting hot.

And what did Dipper do?

Well, he couldn't bear to see what he had done to his sister, so he only visits her where she'll for sure be happy: her dreams.

Dipper would sneak into her dreams and would fill them with everything she likes.

He would hide behind a cloud and watch as his sister rode unicorns and ate all the gummy koalas she wanted.

He laughed at all the ridiculous stuff his sister would do, but he hid whenever she heard him.

He couldn't have Mabel see him.

Not after how he left her that night.

Dipper was happy though; as long as he saw his sister happy.

But what Dipper didn't know was that Mabel still couldn't accept that her brother was gone.

She would try to put on a brave face during the day, but at night, she would cry herself to sleep; to escape to dreamland.

==========5 years later========

Many scary stories have been told around campfires, it's a classic thing to do when camping.

But there is a particular story that many share: a story about a teenage boy in a black robe and having a yellow eye, roaming the forest and giving the people who see him nightmares.

Of course, that story isn't real.

They're just told by teenagers to scare their friends.

Or maybe by parents to keep their children away from the wild animals in the forest.

But whatever happens to these brilliant story tellers?

Did they really make it all up?

Because, they seem pretty terrified after sleeping the night they told of this 'ghost'.

Well, I wouldn't want to know what nightmares these people went through.

But if you want to prevent yourself from having the same fate as these people, I would suggest to beware of the dream-demon, Dipper Pines.
