Sandhir always masked up their feelings in the name of friendship. One day they were returning home from school suddenly the clouds became dark and the thunder. Sandhir looked at each other and started to run before the rain starts they could reach home but bad luck it began. Sanyu and Randhir walked side by side in the cold breeze trying control their huffing due to run. In this their shoulder and finger tips touched each other . The climate was chilling but their bodies were set on fire.

After few moments Randhir interwinded their fingers and hold it firmly. Both didn't have the guts to face and they smiled with a blush. Little bit more sanyu stopped and asked Randhir that she doesn't want to walk more and he told not to throw tantrums and started to pull in that sanyu left the hand and Randhir came crashing to her before their chest touch he maintained distance. He walked ahead and sanyu sat on the side and then​ screamed an ahhh and he came running to her.

Sanyu showed she got hurt near the anklet and he with shivering fingers touched and she bit her lower lip and then he turned to his bag for any balm meantime sanyu jumped on to his back ,he wriggled.

S: in childhood you used to carry me and give piggy ride. I want to relive those days
Randhir: sure it's​ me who is carrying. When you were small and didn't weigh like a hippo.

She hit his back and he carried her. Her chest was sticked to his back and it created havoc in both still they didn't loose their cool. At the turn he dropped her saying her mom will scold and they went separate​.

They went to the room and couldn't control the smile and rewind the whole scene. Sanyu touched her anklet and she went to washroom for a shower, her shirt was filled with his fragnance and in Randhir room he saw his fingers and behaved like a love struck puppy.

Randhir was in his 10th and a school trip for four days were planned and he too got ready to enjoy. He while returning from school took sanyu to their hiding spot and told her the news. He said he will be having a great time with his school buddies and four days he will enjoy. Sanyu with a heavy heart smiled seeing his  excitement. Randhir read her eyes but didn't show his concern then he said next birthday I'll be with you.

Sorry sanyu I need to go for this trip. She didn't speak a word and left,he smirked.

Randhir: get ready cheeyu to get the best birthday gift

Randhir left for the trip and by 10 mins of his departure sanyu felt lonely and missed him. She looked at the dates and sighed. In these years he was the first one to wish her . This time it broke and she cried.

At night the phone was ringing and she went and took the call.
S: hello
Person: cheeyu
S: nonnu
Randhir: so I reached here. I'm fine and don't miss me much
S: me and miss in lower voice never
Randhir: oho.then every night at this time I'll call you be near the phone and tell siya called for some doubt to your parents
S: ohk
And they end the call.

Next day morning sanyu went to school and while returning she​ went to their hide out and roamed . Then her eyes got stuck on the wall where an envelope was sticked. She grabbed that.

She opened it and read

Dear cheeyu
I know you will come here and I hope this letter be visible to you. We shared these many years of together and I didn't thank you for coming to my life. I'll​ be there for you in the ups and downs and never ever leave your hand.

Next letter is somewhere you spend the most of the time relaxing. But read tomorrow.

She smiled and left the place. Night call she picked in first ring and they shared what they did and she told she got the letter. He replied he knew his hard work won't be a waste.

Next day before school she thought where the second letter will be. His lines she said repeatedly and then a grin formed. She said best place my bed and saw the letter.

She opened and read his lines.

Dear cheeyu

Not bad you found this too. I gave an easy clue so ,next time we will play treasure hunt and see who will win. I know you would be ready for school and reading the letter in hurry.

Today I need to tell you that you will be the only best friend ever and near to my heart. And I'll treasure our bond than anyone.

Sanyu whispered me too.

Next letter where you scatter and shuffle up. Find tomorrow

They had a small chit and chat sanyu teased him for his cheesy letter and they laughed while on phone.

Third letter she thought to find in morning but her mom asked to go fast. At school siya said what's special as tomorrow is her birthday. She smiled and didn't say much.

Siya said you are missing Randhir . Sanyu nods a no.

Siya; are you in love with him
S: siyu
Siya: haha I know you both are friends
S: hmm
Siya: don't worry this Valentine's I'll propose him and then he will be mine
S: what the hell

That day sanyu's mind was disturbed with siya's words . She forgot about the letter. The call of Randhir made her realize that she didn't look for the letter. She said the truth but he said just an ohk and end the call.

She​ left to her room and started to think about the clue and she knew the place was her wardrobe. She looked every corner and shuffled and a packet fell. She took that it was a dress.

And a note. The princess frock for the princess of my life.  She hugged it tightly. She didn't get sleep and at few moments before midnight her house phone was ringing she ran to pick but for her badluck her mom picked the call and said hello few times and cursed the caller and kept it . Then again it started to ring sanyu saw this from upstairs and she climbed down and anju again kept the phone and moved to her room.

Sanyu ran to the phone and without​ allowing the first ring to complete she picked the call and she heard

Happy birthday cheeyu.

Thanks nonnu.

How can I broke my these many years tradition. Aunty will kill me I guess for not answering the call

Next morning sanyu got ready and she took the dress gifted by him and kept it safely inside her cupboard. She wore the salwar given by her parents and then came down. They wished her and she smiled to them.

The door bell rang and she opened to find a guy with a boquet.

Man: Sanyukta Iyer house
S: yes
Man: can you call her this is for her
S: it's me and took the flowers. She saw the note. And read I know you love red roses and I'm not a kid to give kitchen or doctor set but hide these from aunty or next year sure rakhi. She laughed to his note.

The person hands a packet too and leaves.

She reads further next surprise in my room. Go sanyu. She without thinking anything else ran to Randhir home and she greeted his parents and made an excuse and left to his room.

She opened it to find it's fully decorated with balloons and their pictures. She looked at all then moved forward and saw  a big teddy with a heart in his hand and a chain wound around it. She took the chain it's a half heart locket with R. She took it in her hand.

Then she saw a box of her favorite chocolates and a letter.

She read.

Dear cheeyu

Even I'm away from you my heart is always with you. I tried to make everything perfect. I wished to give this surprise by my own but the stupid trip ruined all. I even tried to cancel my trip but my marks depends without interest I said a yes.

Wear that chain and I have it's another half with S,this much deep is our relationship and no one can break it.

I guess the flower person gave another packet too. See that too.
She found a piece of cake and a candle in the packet.
