Chapter 36. Help is on the way!
The Four seasons Hotel Suite
Harish was standing with his hands on the washroom tiles and glaring down thinking hard.
The warm water showers were hitting his body making him think how life decided to play a joke on him.
First his love – his true love whom he had to leave behind to achieve his parent's goals. The First victory of being the rank holder in the school, to becoming the pride of his parents – especially his father.
Second the Stepmom – his father betrayed him by marrying the woman he promised to be their helping hand. But when the lady announced the news of bearing the next heir of the Joshi family, Harish's belief in his father shattered. He couldn't take the hurt which turned into his hatred towards the one person who was responsible for destroying their perfect family of father and sons.
Third his friends – his so-called friends who only wanted him for his fame and wealth. But not for healing him, his shattered heart, his dying hope. But take him through the cursed life of an addict who would ruin his own life and not see the shame that he would carry along.
The last his Pia – he felt the way she used to hate his advances on her. His pure love on her. He had overheard the inaudible cussing she used to do whenever he used to touch her or the worst when he used to kiss her. She was finding his touch as venom that would deteriorate your skin and leave you scarred for life.
He decided to heal each and every part of his mistakes or sins or hatred, to attain peace for himself, for his family, for his friends, and most importantly for his Pia.
He came out of the washroom drying his hair. He saw Pia arranging their bed to sleep for the night. He threw the towel on the chair and walked past her to the balcony. He poured himself some cold water and looked up the sky trying to soak up the remorse he had carried all along.
"Come sleep. It is late, Shri" Pia called out sweetly to him and approached him. She tried to touch his shoulders but found him to backing off.
Shri looked at her sad face and tsked saying that he wanted some quiet time for himself. He would sleep when he felt like and told her to not spoil her sleep.
Pia was not satisfied with his answers but saw that he was quite serious in his words. So, she left to have some winks not before telling him to call her for any uneasiness.
The next morning
Pia woke up with the sunrays hitting on her soft face. She rubbed her still tired eyes and glanced around the room.
"Shri? Shri?" She called him by softly patting his shoulders and saw the weird way his body was crumpled up on the couch.
She was not understanding why he opted to sleep on the couch but not on the bed with her.
"Ugh!! Yeah I am up," Shri got up groggy and sat on the couch trying to wake up fully.
Pia rubbed his shoulders and saw that he was stretching his limbs maybe because of the odd sleeping position.
"Why did you sleep here with the perfectly good bed over there?!!" Pia scolded him softly to get a scoff from him.
He removed her hand and went to do his morning routine, confusing her.
After having their breakfast, the trio decided to visit the place which Harish had tried to remember as his friend Jack's house. The Royal Suite Hotel manager had also confirmed Jack's address, checking through his log book.
The locality was screaming savageness and the people were behaving in a rude manner to the new face who had turned up in their alley.
Hardik tried to communicate with some of the people but to his luck they only made fun of his formal fancy look.
He couldn't take it anymore and went back to his brother and Pia telling them, coming there was a mistake.
However, Pia didn't give up and she saw a group of middle-aged women sitting on the veranda of the lane houses.
She talked with them politely and tried to describe Jack as much she had learned from Harish.
One of them pointed to the last house on the left, stating it being abandoned for a long time. Pia thanked them moving to the brothers.
As they walked towards the said house, they saw the alley was getting more remote and darker.
They saw that the house was actually looking like it has been abandoned for long.
The house was having weeds growing all over its front lawn and the sides.
They were disheartened at the absence of any occupants but they saw a teenage girl staring at them, sitting on top of her bicycle.
Pia approached her and asked her the residents of the house to which the girl answered
"No one lives here, ever since Sara died in the fire,"
Harish turned to the girl at her answer and ran to get his doubts clear.
The girl said the woman Sara lived with her brother Jack who had ran off from the place with fear of the authorities.
The police sealed the place after the accident and were looking for possible suspects.
She told them to vacate the place asap for their sake.
Hardik understood the context of her words and told the others to move out of the alley.
But to their bad luck, the police cab stood in front of them and took them to the station for questioning.

Kansya Steel industries Ltd.
Himanshu strolled through the corridors of the administration department and tsked at the employees working diligently.
From the past few days, Himanshu had been loitering around the company under the pretext of following his mother's order to know about the office works.
Nithya was happy that at least one of the brothers was useful enough to create havoc in the office as well as the house.
She would give deaf ears to the complains put forward by the woman employees who were eye teased by Himanshu.
Nithya would brush them off saying that he was going to be their new boss and they should learn to respect him and his decisions.
However, she forgot that Sanya was giving the girls the protection they required by instructing to accompany themselves in groups whenever they would want to move from any place of the office space. And also inform her of any misconduct done by Himanshu.
This didn't go unnoticed by Nithya who thought to teach Sanya a fitting lesson once and for all.
Toronto, Canada
The local police station
Hardik was not able to get through the call to contact his Grandfather for informing him about their situation.
Pia was sitting beside Harish who consoled her and told her to trust him.
He then requested the police constable to meet the staff-inspector for a talk.
After much refusal the police constable agreed looking at the teary-eyed Pia.
He took them to the area Staff-Inspector's cabin and told them to take very limited time, as the SI was a busy man.
Kim Namjoon
Staff-Inspector cabin
"Yes, come in,"
The SI moved his gaze from the file to the cabin door and encouraged them to occupy their seat.
Hardik told him about their dilemma and the bad timing of them landing in that locality searching for their friend, Jack.
SI Namjoon was a no-nonsense guy and he saw genuinty in their eyes. So, he told them to narrate their stories without missing anything.
Harish told him in between about his current mental trauma and how he was not able to remember most of his time in the states because of the drug infused in him without his knowledge.
Pia then told him about her attempts to reduce the effects of the already present drug remnants in his blood. The one which would come in between in the form of fits or even split personality.
The SI listened to their problem and was trying to understand as to why it had a connection to the Sara fire incident.
The Sara fire incident was one of the most tangled case in his records which he had side lined as a failed case.
But since he saw the youngsters who had the same urge to find the truth as him, he agreed to help them.
He gave them the file which had the details of the case and even the evidences that he had collected so far.
He assigned a detective for their support who would guide them on the area and its information which would help the department as well as the Joshi family youngsters.
"Sir, you called?" The SI saw his most trustworthy man walk in with the donut in his hand.
"Yes, Detective Suga. Meet the Joshi's. They are here to help us with the Sara fire case," The SI introduce the Joshi's who smiled at the new face. Suga scoffed at them confusing the aura in the room.
It's only when the SI cleared his throat that the detective bought back his serious stance and took in the instructions given by his senior.
Suga kept the donut on the desk and extended his hand to the Joshi family for a friendly handshake.
After the family left, the detective looked back at his senior and relaxed on the desk starting off to educate his friend aka SI.
"Have you completely lost it! The Sara fire case! Out of all the crap that is happening here, you had to pick the most crapiest one, huh?" the detective murmured on missing his phone chat with his girlfriend.
The SI glared at him which he tsked with a side eye. He jumped from the desk and moved towards the exit door to clear his head.
"Listen Hyung (elder brother), I need you in this. Coz, you are the only one who knows the in and out of the case even more than me. The department handed over the case from you to me, just to stop your promotion and you know that! This is your golden opportunity to fight back for that promotion. Hyung, we can work together, finally!" The SI tried to convince his eldest on the depth of the Joshi's help in the abandoned case.
Suga was not interested in the case at all. He had sacrificed his blood, sweat and tears for the case to no end. He lost his reputation, his parent's trust and even his fiancé.
They all thought he was not capable to be a police officer and disrespected his words even more.
Before moving out of the cabin, he looked up to his friend saying that he would rather quit than take up a dead-end case.
Namjoon slumped back on his seat and brushed his chin, thinking on how to convince his head strong friend to help the Joshi's.
