*FLASHBACK*
“Akua, Loaʻa i kona lima. E nakiki iho ia ia. Ae lawe ia ia i ka Alpha, koke!”
“You know I can’t understand you when you talk to me like that! English, please!” I growled at Nani, our Third in Command.
“God, you’re difficult! I said, ‘Grab his hands and take him to the Alpha. Immediately!’ Don’t you listen?!” her voice annoyed as she stared back at me.
“Nani! Don’t you dare raise your voice at me like that! Know your place!
Respect your Beta!” I snarled, grabbing onto the back of Omega’s shoulder.
“I wouldn’t have to do it if you did what Alpha told you to do, you immature prick!” she said pointedly as she looked at me like I was a child.
“Fuck it! I had it under control, woman! What do you not get?” I sneered before huffing as I threw the Omega over my shoulder, holding him by his bindings.
“Whatever! Don’t want to be late for Myi and Nahiri’s coming of age ceremony!” she sighed before stomping off towards the pack house.
“See what shit you brought me into, Tihu?” I breathed as I yanked on him.
“Sorry, I was just trying to get the pig and then it just kind of got out of control.” he chuckled.
“Eating the pack’s entire supply of pigs isn’t exactly what I’d describe under the words ‘kind of out of control’, Tihu... They’ll stone you for this.” I huffed.
“What?” he yelped.
“I’m just kidding! But you might as well be dead... Cause you know how we love them little porkers.” I hummed at the thought of roast pig.
“God, you make for an awful mainlander.” he breathed.
“And you’re a shitty Omega.” I said, yanking on him again as I walked through the lush bushes.
“Touché.” he chuckled.
“Okay, now behave for at least the duration of tonight, please?” I sighed as I dropped him to the ground in front of the pack house.
“Only tonight?” his eyes twinkling up at me in mischief.
“Only tonight, you little shit.” I breathed, rubbing my hand over my face before slamming my hand down on his back.
“Ow!” he whispered, mimicking a rooster.
“Not that hard! Now stop being an asshole and go get dressed.” I shoved him up onto the porch.
“Talk about yourself, you look like shit too!” he stuck his tongue out.
“Why you little-"
“Enough!” Nani yelled.
“Yes, Nani.” Tihu huffed before heading inside.
“Get your big ass upstairs and into a suit. Please, just bathe first. You stink.” She sighed, waving her hand in front of her nose.
“Yes, Mother.” I mumbled.
“What was that?” she lifted the back of her hand.
“Uh. I said ‘Yes, I will.’” I chuckled before running up the stairs. That little woman scares the shit out of me!
Half an hour later I found myself in a suit, outside on the beach with the bottoms of my pants rolled up.
The sun slowly setting on the horizon as traditional music played while others filed up next to me and in front of me in a big isle form.
Suddenly the music changed, and that’s where I died and went to heaven.
The End.
Game over.
I’m joking.
But I might as well could have.
Because of her.
My mate.
Myi.
Her eyes set on me the moment she came down the isle, my hands folded into fists by my sides as I tried to stop the urge to run and grab her so I could hold her tightly in my arms.
“Mate! Mate! Mate! Mate! Mate!” my wolf exclaimed excitedly as he jumped around in my head.
In all the years she’s been my friend, I never imagined her being the other part of my soul.
But as she sauntered down the aisle, all the little puzzle pieces fell perfectly into place. And I had to admit. I loved the woman the goddess picked for me.
My wolf pressed for control and seconds later I was hoisting Myi up in the air, swinging her around as the sun’s last rays kissed the horizon.
“Mine.” I breathed, pulling away.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
Myi will always be the beginning and the end of my story.
And everything, after that day; was perfect.
Because of her.
She was the remedy for any ailment.
The sunshine on a rainy day.
A star in the darkest night.
And my mate, for keeps.
