Jay's p.o.v

Four months pass, me, Nya and Abby grow into the family we should have been all along. But, I'm still hesitant to go to the temple. After I was discharged from the hospital, I went for treatment for PTSD,(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and spent six months in therapy. I took medicine for it as well but finished four months before meeting Abby. I'm about to take a big leap today.

Dad comes into the kitchen, I'm at the snack bar grading the tests from today. "I'm off to the airport. You gonna be okay here." He asks. When I first came into dad's care, he took time off from being an actor. Now that it's been three years, he's starting back up. I look at my phone, picking it up. "I think it's high time I visit the gang at the temple." I say. Dad smiles, setting his bag down. "Finding Abby and reconnecting with Nya has really helped you son." He said. I nod, it has. Dialing Zane's number, I wait. He picks up on the third ring. 'Hey Jay, Abby and Nya are out. The others are on a mission. Sorry.' He says. I grin. "Making dinner." I ask. 'Roast beef with rice. Abby's favorite.' Zane said. "Got room for one more." I ask. 'For you, anytime. You coming over.' He asks. "Dad's going on a trip and..." 'Bring a bag. You can stay for as long as you like.' He said. I look at dad, nodding. " 'Ight, I'll be there within the hour." I tell hem. 'Great, see you than.' Zane says, hanging up.

I stand, turning to dad. He pulls me into a hug, I nuzzle into his neck. "You've come so far." He says. Pulling away, he holds my face. "Do you know what I saw in the hospital that day." He begins. "A man beaten and broken." "I saw a man with the will, fuel and fire to live. Yes, you were beaten and broken, but every obstacle that came your way, you beat it. I'm glad I went to that hospital, if not, I wouldn't have been able to see the fine young man my son is today. Now, we both have places to be. Shall we." Dad said. I nod, picking my buffle and work case, getting in my car.

Coming to the temple, parking the car, the ground slits. The car is placed in an underground garage. Doing the movements, airjitzu forms around me. 'Thank you, Nya.' I think as I land on the ground. Going to the door, I knock. It opens, Zane smiles. I step back in shock at his appearance. He grins "Took the others a bit to get use too as well. I'll show you where you'll sleep and I'll explain." He said, stepping aside. Entering, he turns down a hall, I follow hem three doors down. At the fourth on the right, he opens it. I gasp seeing it. Eletric blue walls, same for the bed. Setting my duffle down, I keep the case. He heads to the kitchen, i sit at the snack bar, setting out the tests I was grading. I listen as he tells how he came to be now, going through the tests. On the last one, I finish, packing up. The door opens, Zane looks at me. Finger to my lips, grabbing my bag, I silently hide in the hall way.

Cole's p.o.v

Abby is hyped up, she's spending the weekend with Jay and Cliff. She goes to the hall, only to scream as she's picked up by none other than Jay. We all stand shocked, Zane grinning like a hyena. "You cheeky heffer." Kai says as Jay sets Abby down. "Daddy, you finally came, you staying for dinner." Abby says. "Actually. I'm not." Abby's face falls. "I'm staying longer than dinner. Grandpa Cliff went for a trip and so, I'm here for the next two weeks." Abby squeals, hugging Jay. I go over, patting his back. "About time you came." I tell hem. He smiles, Abby grabs his hand. "I want to show you my room." He follows her down the hall. Nya walks up, smiling. "Jay made her day." We all nod.

Later, Zane sets the food out, I see Kai typing poppers on the seat Jay will sit at, beside Abby. He snickers, going to his seat as the others walk in. Abby sits down, patting beside her. Jay smiles, nodding. Wait a sec, Jay was torchered for six years, three that he's been free. When someone goes through something like that.for..that...long...oh no. I can't get the words out fast enough when Jay sits and the poppers pop.

Jay goes ridged, Kai, and Lloyd bust out leaghing. Jay's pupil's are blown wide, he starts shacking. "Oh come on Jay, got to admit, that's funny." Kai says. "Really Kai. Think about it. Jay was torchered for six years, three that he's been free. What does someone get after something like that." I say, getting up and going to Jay as he holds his head. Kai and Lloyd still, laughter dying as they realize the situation. I touch Jay, hem flinching. He's muttering incoherent words.

Jay's p.o.v (memory)

The wrip creaks, burning ripping my back open. Some of the lashes have hit my arms and legs.

I'm safe

It creaks again, bone exposed. Meat ripped apart. One hits my dislocated shoulder but I don't feel it. The feeling long gone.

I'm free

The wrip is dropped, I'm lowered. Two guys grab me, like I have the strength to do anything. One holds my arm out, the head man grabs something from the table.

I'm alive

Cold blade on my arm and a wrurring sounds. I scream bloody murder as my arm is saw saw off. Weakly thrashing, I can't do much as the arm falls to the floor.

I'm home

The guy takes the saw, placing it on three parts of my face, one at a time, and gives three pulses on each. I scream bloody murder.

I'm safe
I'm free
I'm alive
I'm home

The man laughs at my pain, he kicks my ribs, I cough up blood.

I'm.....home. I'm home with my dad, my friends, Nya and my daughter, Abagale.

I pick my head up, glaring at Kai. I get up, going to my room.

Abagale's p.o.v.

Watching daddy have his daymare. I grab his plate and mine, going to daddy's room. Knocking on his door, he hollows "Go away Kai." I'm hurt he don't like uncle Kai any more. "Daddy." The door non jiggles, he opens the door. I hold his plate out and he takes it. Opening the door with his shoulder, I walk in, sitting at his desk. We sit in silence, he eats.

"I'll be okay." Daddy says. I grab his hand, the clock chimes. Daddy stands as I do, it's my bed time. He hugs me, I return it. "Night kiddo." Daddy says. "Say, if it's alright with Nya, would y'all like to go the amusement park tomorrow." He asks. I nod, he kisses my head. I leave, going to get ready for bed.

Jay's p.o.v

Abby coming to eat with me, lifted my spirits. Kai did me wrong. I grin at the way I'm going to get back at hem. Laying down, I pull the covers over me.
