Cole's p.o.v (10 yrs old)

It's late at night, I get up having to pre and see Hunter isn't in bed. I shrug it off, my little brother has been getting up late at night lately. Going to the bathroom, I do my business and got back to bed. Hearing something thou, I get up. Going to the living room, mom is on the floor, her hands up. Hunter stands over her with a knife in hand.

I paralyzed in fear as Hunter looks at me. With a sick twisted grin, he plunges the knife in mom's chest, her cry cut off in the middle. With a leagh that will haunt me for life, Hunter runs out the back door. Sinking to my knees on the blood stained carpet, I cover my eyes, crying hard. I don't notice when the cops and EMT's get here, nor when one picks me up and takes me outside.

I'm placed on a gurney, just sitting there. I'm numb to everything, even the EMT talking to me. Later in the hospital, a detective is talking to dad but I just look at the floor. A hand touches my shoulder, it has me looking at the detective. "Son, do you know who killed your mother. And do you know what's happened to your brother." He asks. "Yes, I know who killed mom, and what's happened to Hunter." I speak for the first time since this started. "Who did this and I'll bring hem in and find Hunter." Detective said. "You won't find Hunter." I say. Dad and the detective look at me.

"You won't find Hunter, cause Hunter killed mama." Is all I said.
