'Normal POV'

The Cyborg Ninja attack, and, just like Sensei had thought, the girls are nowhere near strong enough to even hope to destroy the Cyborg Ninja.

"Girls, into the monastery! Now!" The elder demands. The girls hesitate for only a second before following orders and racing into the monastery, away from the five who were once their great friends

"Nya, now!" Sensei shouts. The girls watch as a force field spreads into a dome around the monastery, trapping the Cyborg Ninja outside.

The Cyborg Ninja look to each other and each give a glance to their former apprentice' before turning and disappearing into the dark of the forest.

"We aren't even close to being strong enough to beat them..." Anahi whispers, just loud enough to be heard

"What are we going to do..? We can't hide under this dome forever..?" Violet questions worriedly

"Girls, calm down, I'm sure Sensei knows what we have to do to beat them." After stating this, Kandice looks expectedly to Sensei

"Indeed I do. Follow me girls, it's about time you began to try and find your true potentials." The girls look at each other, mouthes wide and squealing.

The boys had told the girls about this 'true potential', but Sensei had told them that they weren't ready to find them yet, so nobody asked any more questions.

They follow the elder excitedly. He leads them into a small, dark room. There is only enough light to see the faces of the others in the room.

"Girls, as you have probably assumed, you need to become much stronger before you are able to win this battle."

They nod

"Well, there is one way to insure that you become powerful enough to unite your powers and destroy the Overlord once and for all. You must find your true potentials."

"Sensei, how do we find our true potentials?" Emily asks

"Well, only you can determine that. For each of you to unlock your true potential, you must overcome the one thing that you feel holds you down. Or, in other words, makes you weak. Then, and only then, will your true powers be unlocked."

The girls avoid any kind of eye contact, not that it's very easy to make eye contact in the dark room. Their weakness... They've all tried so hard to bury those things deep inside themselves...

"You are dismissed. Go and train in the indoor training facility." Sensei instructs

A few nods is all the elder revives at the girls exit the room, keeping their eyes focused on the ground, or on a wall.

Once they are inside the training room, they begin to train harder than ever before, determined to save the guys, and the city.

After training, the girls get cleaned up and ready for dinner. They eat and are dismissed to bed early.

Though the thoughts of having to face their weaknesses are still lingering in the back of everyone's minds.

~The Next Day~

"A restless sleep is not good for training" that's what Sensei kept repeating to the girls

They surround him, ready to be taught a new lesson

"Today, you will be learning how to defend each other, by training against moving dummies, they will attack each of you. Your objective is to defend one another, work as a team to defeat all of the dummies. Go." The girls rush to their weapons and pick them up, ready to fight

Sensei jabs his staff into the floor and the dummies spring to life. The dummies outnumber the girls, so they really have to watch each other's backs

"Emily, watch out!" Kandice calls, causing Emily to turn and slash the dummy that was about to hit her

"Thanks Kandice!" Emily calls back

"Lia, behind you!" Violet shoots an arrow at the dummy that was behind Lia

"Thanks Vie!"

The girls gradually make a circle with their backs facing inward, they face the enemies. They've come to call this their "formation".

"Ready girls?" Anahi calls, the others nod "shoot!" Each girl shoots her element from her weapon

"Begin running!" Kandice calls

They link arms and run in a circle, still shooting their element at the dummies.

"Stop!" Emily calls. They let go and stop running

"We did it!" Violet jumps up in the air. Every dummy in the room has been destroyed

"Well done girls. You've done well. Your formation has really come together." Sensei nods while he speaks.

The girls are overcome with happiness.

With each day, the girls get stronger. They complete the entire training course while handcuffed together. Each completes it on her own. And they finally perfect their formation.

But, the day will soon come when the first weakness will be revealed...
