Chen's Noodle House was the most well-known restaurant in Ninjago. It had the most expansive list of recipes that no one could properly replicate except for the most skilled of chefs. And it's at this very establishment where Jay found himself one day.
"Hey Skylor," he asked, "Why don't we ever talk to each other?"
"I don't know," answered Sky, "I guess we just don't need to have complicated relationships with everyone we meet."
The two shared a good laugh. "No, seriously, tell me about yourself."
"Okay," Skylor hesitated a bit. "You know how I had an emotionally abusive dad, right?"
"Uh-huh."
"And how he had me work for him?"
"Uh-huh."
"Sometimes, when I didn't comply with what he wanted, he'd have Clouse scare me really bad so I'd listen to him."
"Oh," Jay slumped a bit in his seat. "I had no idea Chen could be that... actually, I already know that."
"Yeah, he's pretty terrible. So, what about you?"
"Well, I've been considering getting back into inventing for a while now. Although it's gonna be a terror to get back into!"
The blue ninja then snickered at his own unfunny joke as Skylor watched him in complete silence. She then splashed her glass of water onto him in annoyance. Jay was taken aback by it and asked one last question. "What did I do?"
