At the Corridor of Elders, some builders were hard at work, engraving a statue of Geoff into the mountain as the Ninja, Misako, Dragon, Tania, Cirrus, Faith, Mantis, Callen, Seliel and many friends, including some Elemental Masters, look at it. "We are gathered here today, to honour the memory of Geoffrey Arcturus Sanders." Dragon said as everyone was mourning in their own ways. "Son of Heianmofa Clouse, Anacondrai Cultist, artefact recovery expert, Ninja, Master of Sand, our dearest friend, our brother, and our son. He gave his life, protecting others, with all his might, through those who believe he would be his father's son and the loss of his eyes, but he endured. Endured with every last breath in his body. And although we may never see him again, we shall remember him in our hearts, as well as our sands, and our beaches." Blake and Cirrus, who puts her hand on her baby bump, soon hug each other while Gewuji cried into Lloyd's shirt, and Maggie, who now had a ring with a citrine on her ring finger instead of the broken key, had a hand over her eyes with Cole and Faith comforting her.

It was soon Lloyd's turn to deliver an eulogy for Geoff. "Geoff was more than a friend to us." He said. "He was family." He soon looked at the photo of the aftermath of the fight against the Great Devourer. "And he died protecting said family. There were times we misjudged him because of his liniage. However, he fought to prove that he was more than his father's son, or his mother's son. He became a hero, right before our eyes. Thanks to him, we know two things about being a ninja: 'Most endings only lead to new beginnings,' and 'Blindness is a curse and a miracle at the same time.' We will make sure to recite them in our future battles." He turns to the statue, frowning, as everyone did so as well. "And honour his memory." As they were all doing so, an individual, wearing white robes with a hood over their head, blocking the view of their face, looked on from the corner of Oni's statue before discreetly walking away.

At Laughy's, everyone was in random seats, drinking, talking about the good times that they had with Geoff, or just sitting alone while the Royal Blacksmiths were at the karaoke bar. They were singing Paul Kelly's 'Meet Me in the Middle of the Air', at the same time, tearing up a bit. The Ninja, back in their athletic clothing, but still wearing their warm clothing, with Cole also in his own, but with a dark grey coat, excluding their goggles, gloves and wellies, and their coats unzipped, including Dragon, Misako, P.I.X.A.L. and Seliel were at the bar. Mantis had just left to do something while Tania, Chamille and Faith took Callen back to the safehouse and stay with her for the night. "I know it's ill to speak of the dead, but, do you know exactly what happened?"

"Some sort of dark spike came at Geoff." Jay said.

"Dark spike?" Dragon was shocked upon hearing the answer, and immediately went deep into thought. "Then this can only mean one thing."

"I thought the same thing, Master." Lloyd replied. "Chongbai... is an Oni." This gets everyone around them to gasp.

"We have to go after them." Gewuji said.

"What?" Jay asked.

"Chongbai has to pay for what he did to Geoff."

"Gewuji, going after him won't bring Geoff back." Lloyd said.

"I'm afraid this is an enemy we cannot defeat." Kai said.

"Are you all giving up?!" Gewuji asked, standing up.

"We're not!" Cole replied, also getting up to comfort her. "I can't blame myself alone. Besides, if one is to blame, all is to blame."

"So it's my fault that Geoff's dead?!"

"That's not what Cole meant." Lloyd replied.

"I'm sorry, but we are of no match against an Oni hybrid." Blake said before holding up his robotic arm for her to see. "I made that mistake once."

"Lloyd and Master Wu took down Garmadon." Gewuji replied.

"It was through his own fighting style." Lloyd said.

"Besides, we have to strategize before we even think of going after the Yether Age clan." Zane said.

"We cannot lose another Ninja." Maggie replied.

"Like Zane, we're irreplaceable." Cole said.

"I'm sorry, but I have to agree." Nya said.

"So, you're all giving up?" Gewuji asked. "What ever happened to 'Ninja never quit'?"

"Sorry, Gewuji, but if they're not imploring to think what you're gonna do, then you must accept." Dragon replied.

"I'm not putting this off for tomorrow." Dragon starts getting angry. "This must be done today."

Dragon soon stood up. "My answer is no!"

"And I thought all of you were his friends. Lloyd, I thought you were supposed to care about me, just like Geoff, but it's obvious you don't anymore. We're over." Lloyd was in complete shock as Gewuji then turned to the others. "As for the rest of you, I HATE YOU ALL!" Everyone, including the Royal Blacksmiths, who heard Gewuji's outburst look on before she soon takes off, and they all see her leave, in anger, pushing Dareth aside as she did so, with everyone still looking on, in shock.

"Gewuji!" Lloyd yelled as he got up to see his now ex-girlfriend pushing the doors open, and storming out as Dragon then frowned. "Gewuji, get back here!"

"Let her go, Lloyd." Dragon replied, making Lloyd turn to him. "It was her decision, and her's alone." Lloyd soon sat down and sighed out of anger.

"This is just like when we almost lost Zane. The absence of Geoff will either tear us apart or bring us closer. Already, one is pulling away." They soon look at each other while frowning, almost like they're thinking about something. By the window, the individual looks through it before taking off. "I still remember how we all first met him. How he showed me the Cave of Nigebrodne."

Most of the Ninja remember the time when they first met Geoff, who had long hair and a beard, later teasing him about having shorter hair and clean shaven, beating Lloyd in the Art of the Silent Fist, defending Borg Tower as best as he could, during their time in space, watching him get himself eliminated from the Tournament of Elements, reassuring Geoff after his transformation into an Anacondrai, his reaction at seeing his mother again, reassuring his mother following her Time Punch cure, Geoff staying behind to cover Green Light's escape, reuniting with them after being blinded by Oni Garmadon, fighting Ultra Violet while blind, reuniting with Gewuji, proposing to Maggie, and fighting off some Oni. "Not all of our memories of him were good." Jay said, referring to when they found out Geoff used to be part of the Anacondrai Cultist, learning that he was Heianmofa's son, Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, Gewuji and Dragon discovering that he was now blind, and fighting alongside him during the Oni invasion.

At the Ninjago City Graveyard, Gewuji was looking at the coffin that contained her brother's body before leaving some Eranthis Hyemalis flowers on it, and walked away. As she did so, the individual comes up to the coffin, and opened the top part of it to reveal Geoff's body. He was going to be buried in his Elemental Robes, which were his favourite as well as being the first suit he wore when he became a Ninja.

In his office at the police station, Navis holds a paintbrush as he was about to paint a model boat he had just completed, albeit very slowly. He realises that the paint colour he had chosen was yellow, reminding him of Geoff. He soon sighed before putting the brush down, and the door bursts open. "Commissioner!" It was Gewuji.

Navis yelped and looked up at her. "Well, this is a surprise." He replied.

"It's not a surprise." She comes up to him and places her hands on the desk, very loudly. "I want Chongbai. Do you know where he is?"

"I--"

"Do you know where he is?!"

"Gewuji, we've got officers searching for him, 24/7, the moment he killed your brother. Maybe you should stand down, clear your head."

"'Clear my head'? I don't take orders from you."

"Please, what would your brother say if he were here?"

"But he isn't. He's dead, and Chongbai must pay."

"Gewuji, I insist that you calm down, and let us do our jobs."

"Doing what? Painting toy boats, shoving donuts down your throats, mindless viral video watching? This department is a joke."

Navis immediately becomes offended. "You're not serious, are you?"

"I am. So, instead of being on your lazy ass, doing stuff like this..." She grabs the model boat. "...you should be searching for those murderers!" She soon squealed, turned around and threw the boat at the wall, breaking it apart, shocking Navis. She soon saw the crack she had made in the wall was similar to the burn scars on Geoff's face around his blind eyes. She soon imagined him being there, shaking his head, disappointed in her. She soon sighed, and silently heads for the door. "I'm sorry. I'll pay for the next model you get." She leaves the office as Navis looked at the crack and the broken model boat.

In Ninjago City, Gewuji holds up the photo of Chongbai's mugshot to a young man, who shakes his head.

She later shows it to an elderly woman, who shakes her head.

In the comic book store, she shows it to the owner, who shakes his head as well.

Back outside, she shows the photo to two young boys, who shake their heads as well.

As she walks along the street, she passes by a familiar man and his son, who was looking at his phone. The man soon recognised her, and turned to his son. "Look, son, it's the Crystal Ninja!" He said, pointing out to her.

"Where?" The boy asked as he looked away from his phone to turn around so he can see where his father was pointing, only to find that Gewuji was no longer there as she turned around a corner. "Yeah right, dad." He sarcastically spoke as he turns his attention back to his phone, and continues walking before his father joins him, frowning.

In Chen's Noodle House, Gewuji shows the photo to Skylor, who shakes her head.

Back outside again, she later shows it to a young woman, holding a baby, but she also shakes her head, causing Gewuji to frown.

----------

At the park, Gewuji comes up to a nearby bench and, sits down, sighing while letting the photo fall out of her hand, and land on the ground. "Maybe they were right." She said to herself. "I shouldn't have yelled at them." A bicycle jingle was heard as a bike showed up in front of her, and a hand picked up the photo. She soon looked up to see it was the mailman. "They let you out, huh?"

"Just a fine and a warning." The mailman replied as he looked at the photo. "Hey, I actually saw him."

Gewuji soon stood up. "Really, where?"

"In the Badlands. The city of Ouroborus."

"Ouroborus? Gimme that!"

She immediately pushed the mailman off his bike, grabbed it, straightened it, got on, and cycled away. "Hey! Wait! That's my bike! I have mail to deliver!" Gewuji throws the sack to the mailman, who catches it. By the bushes, the white robed individual looked on to see her leave before taking off. "Get back here!"

In the Badlands, Gewuji cycled the bike with all her might as she made her way down the road. "You're gonna pay for this, Chongbai." She said in her thoughts as she cycled along. "For my brother."

----------

Just outside Ouroborus, Gewuji slows down before jumping off the bike, and ran as the bike slowly kept going until it stopped and fell on its side. In the arena, Gewuji peeked around a corner to see some members patrolling the arena before she jumps across to another corner, and sees a stand open, showing a secret stairwell, guarded by two guards, before moving to another corner. "Do you know why Master Chongbai killed the Blind Ninja?" The guard, stage left, asked.

"Not really." The other guard replied. "And I heard that they all cried like little girls when they brought his corpse back to the city."

Gewuji gets angry at the remark, and conjures a small shard of glass. "I wonder if the crystal one cried to her mommy, like 'Mommy, mommy, meanies killed my brother!'" The guards soon laugh.

Gewuji soon threw the glass stone nearby in anger, hitting a wall, causing the glass stone to break. Everyone soon turned to the sound of the disturbance. "Blimey!" One of the members said as Gewuji immediately made her way down the stairwell, and the white robed individual sees her go in, but doesn't follow her. "What the hell was that?"

They look for a bit before backing away. "Ah, probably just one of the new recruits knocking over a pot." Another member replied as the individual quickly moves behind a wall. "Don't worry about it."

At the stairwell, Gewuji moves down the stairs before coming across an open doorway, and puts her back near it.

----------

Inside the room was the council, they were all in a circle with weapons, armour and hats laid out. "Has there been any word from our members who are still in the middle of finding the bearer?" Sai-Feng asked.

"Sadly, Sai-Feng, she is still in the Ninja's custody." Chongbai replied. "But we still plan on getting her. Any day now, she will go into labour. In the meantime, keep an eye out in case the Ninja do come. Meeting adjourned." They get up and reclaim their stuff before leaving as Gewuji soon went into a corner to hide in the shadows. As Gewuji prepared to follow Chongbai, two sets of hands grab hold of her, and drag her into a nearby room.

It soon lit up, revealing that Zane, in his Titanium form, was lighting up the room, which looked like a janitor's closet. In it were the other Ninja, P.I.X.A.L., Dragon and Seliel. "What are you all doing here?" She asked, whispering, as Lloyd and Kai, who were the ones that pulled her in, let go of her.

"We thought about what you said." Cole replied.

"I guess we have forgotten not to put off until tomorrow what has to be done today." Dragon said. "But, I think, instead of taking Chongbai down, we can at least take the dagger and medallion away from him."

"That would be better." Gewuji replied.

"I only had a brief look around since I was captured by Pythor, a couple of years ago." Kai said. "I saw one room that looked like a storage closet because it was only open for a brief amount of time."

"Then that's where we'll go." Jay replied.

"No, only a few." Dragon said. "Kai, Gewuji, take whoever you need. The rest of us will watch from the control room to check on your progress."

"Maggie, Jay, you're with us." Kai said. "P.I.X.A.L., we're gonna need your help as well."

"Okay, what should we do?" Jay asked.

Several minutes later, Kai, Jay, P.I.X.A.L., Gewuji and Maggie move along a path, avoiding cultist members as well as Back-Chain, Small-Bangs, Grunin and Bladolver. "All for the staff, eh?" Small-Bangs asked.

"Yep." Grunin replied. "He seems to be obsessed for it."

"I could be the same for a guy who understands my feelings." Back-Chain replied.

"If you like, I know some guys who need someone like you once we resurrect Master Yether." Small-Bangs said.

"Ah, thank you, Smallie." Bladolver sees Kai, Jay, P.I.X.A.L., Gewuji and Maggie pass by.

"Bladolver? Something wrong?"

"Oh, nothing." He lied. "Thought I saw something. Must've been my imagination." He secretly eyes them coming up to the door.

"P.I.X.A.L." Kai whispered.

"On it." P.I.X.A.L. replied. Her eyes glow a bit before the keypad beeped, and the door opens. "Let's go, quickly." They immediately head in before Kai closes the door silently.

In the room, there were many boxes and crates, all still waiting to be unpacked before they look at them. "I wonder which one contains them." Gewuji said.

"P.I.X.A.L., any luck?" Jay asked.

"Negative." She replied. "The cases are messing with my sensors."

"Guess we have to look through each one." They immediately start looking through the boxes.
