Present

Grunin, Sharpocroc and some members look around some rock pillars for the Ninja, P.I.X.A.L., Dragon, Chamille and Seliel. Grunin soon kicked a nearby stone in anger and flicks his tongue to the side a few times. "They took the bikes again, one Grundle, their van and mechs." He said as he was flicking his tongue. "They could be far away for all I care!"

"Grunin, calm down." Sharpocroc replied. "Getting angry isn't gonna help."

Grunin sighed as he flicked his tongue again before stopping. "I think Chongbai is losing it. I should've listened to my mother and gone with the arranged marriage."

"It is illegal to marry at 16. Look..." She pulls her goggles up to look at him. "I may be a little older than you, but once the bearer gives birth, we'll... well...run away together." She puts her hands on his shoulders. "Somewhere where they can't find us."

Grunin then smiled at her while putting a hand on her left arm. "I know."

"Good. Let's move on, keep looking."

Several Days Earlier

In the Departed Realm, Geoff and Mistaké sit in a field as Mistaké pours some tea into a cup before setting the teapot aside before they each take a sip. "What's this?" Geoff asked.

"The Tea of Enlightenment." Mistaké replied.

"Even here, you carry tea." Geoff spoke with sarcasm.

"Now, Geoffrey, you heard about me staying in Ninjago and protecting the First Spinjitzu Master and his children. Truth is, I wasn't the first Oni to come. Drink the tea and envision it." Geoff soon drank the tea as Mistaké then stood up, holding the teapot.

"And that's when she told him about Yether." Yether said. Mistaké soon blew some steam from the teapot at his face.

Vision

In the Realm of Oni and Dragons, dragons and Oni were fighting as Firstbourne was firing a burst of Fire on a few Oni. "'Long before time had a name, when war raged between the Oni and the Dragons for the First Spinjitzu Master, he was caught right in the middle of it, hoping to try and help the Dragons reign over the realm." The First Spinjitzu Master, wearing the Dragon Armour, strikes an Oni down before running at another Oni, throwing his Dragonbone Blade in the air, slides past it, catches the sword, and strikes it from behind. Several hours later, the Oni start leaving, some carrying the wounded. "As the Oni were leaving, one chose to stay behind and told him he can create a world of his own, because of his power of Creation. That Oni, was Yether." Yether talks to the First Spinjitzu Master about something. "Eventually, after retiring the Dragon Armour in Firstbourne's nest, they fled the realm together, for the First Spinjitzu Master to start a new one: Ninjago." Yether looked on as the First Spinjitzu Master moved about, his hands glowing, as a forest, fields and the ocean were being created. "Overtime, he and Yether became best friends." Yether, in a human disguise, with the appearance of a very elderly man, wearing a black kimono, looks on as the First Spinjitzu Master, also as an old man, wearing a kimono, teaches Spinjitzu to a young Dragon and Oni. "He had been there when he fathered Dragon and Oni, sort of like a godfather to them. But Oni was more interested in his past and learnt about the First Realm from him." Centuries later, Yether, was lying in a bed, with the First Spinjitzu Master, Dragon and Oni by his bedside. "Eventually, he reached the end of his immortality and as he passed on, the First Spinjitzu Master left him with three parting gifts." The First Spinjitzu Master places the medallion on the bed, then the dagger, and the staff. "The Medallion of Oculus, the Dagger of Aurumetacri and the Staff of Vivifica, with those, he created the Departed Realm, a place of peace, for those who pass on and where their spirits had nowhere to go.'"

Reality

"And so, that is how the Departed Realm was created." Mistaké said.

"And what is Chongbai's relationship to Yether?" Geoff asked.

Mistaké lowers her head. "He is a descendant. Even though he is 1/128 Oni, he still has the Power of Destruction. Also, those who drink the blood of an Oni are cursed to be one."

"So they have immortality and the power of Destruction upon drinking the blood of an Oni?"

"That and have Oni blood flow through your veins for the rest of your life, but not Destruction. Even without power, they are all dangerous."

"A friend of mine is pregnant. The baby's father is one of them. What happens if they get their hands on the child once it's born?"

"If the child is a boy and Chongbai has all three artefacts together, he can summon an ancient spell to bring Yether from this realm and revive him through the baby because the baby must have Oni blood in its veins from birth. In order to make sure that didn't happen, when Yether passed, he made sure to take the staff with him and used its power as well as the transferred power of the dagger and medallion to create this realm. And I believe with your death, Chongbai wants you to retrieve it for him. They say, the wielder of the staff can travel to any realm, just like the Realm Crystal."

"Did I hear right?" Someone called out, causing them to turn to see it was Heianmofa, Creak-Bot and Brutob.

"Dad." Geoff said as he and Mistaké got up and turned to him.

"Finally, I can find where the Teapot of Tyrahn is and force Nadakhan to serve me."

"I can't let you have it."

"You have to." Another voice called out. It was Kozu and some Stone Army warriors.

"Those who were taken down by the Ninja, want revenge." Another voice called out. It was Chen, who it sitting in a chair. "And I want revenge on those two brats." Several Anacondrai Cultist members, including Kapau, Chope, Eyezor and Textilis, came up to them.

"I cannot let any of you have it." Geoff replied. "I will fight to protect it with my life."

"Try it." Kozu said, charging at him alongside two warriors.

Geoff backed away briefly before he quickly moved to the side and held his hands out, firing a burst of Sand at them, knocking them down, one into a pillar before someone grabs hold of him from behind, revealing to be Cryptor, also wearing a white robe, and holds him in a chokehold. Geoff uses the opportunity to raise his legs and kick his father and Textilis to the ground before Chen presses a nearby button on his chair. Instead, a horn is heard and Chen quickly pressed another button, but a spring comes out from underneath the chair and he flies away. "I should've listened to you about the chair, Clousey Clouse!" He yelled.

As Cryptor keeps trying to strangle Geoff, a dark staff strikes him in the head, making him let go as Geoff turned to see it was Mistaké, holding an Oni staff. "Thank you." He said.

"I refuse to let a friend of the grandchild of the First Spinjitzu Master be beaten unfairly." She replied before turning to the others as Creak-Bot, Brutob, the Stone Army warriors and Anacondrai Cultist members came at them. Suddenly, a few are taken down as they see it was Morro and James. Morro was holding James' arms while he spun, his legs wide out as he was hitting them, before Morro lets him go, allowing James to hit Creak-Bot, knocking him down.

As he soon landed, Brutob immediately grabbed hold of him before a ball of sand hits him in the face as Geoff jumped over to him and wrapped his legs around his neck and tried to move him over him, but Brutob punches him in the back as Eyezor and Kapau charge at Mistaké, who quickly knocks them down, but Kozu and Cryptor, who recovered immediately grab her. "You would harm an old lady?" She asked.

Heianmofa immediately got up and held his hand up, conjuring a ball of dark energy. "You never should've died." He said, preparing to strike.

"It was then, that I made my appearance, and intervened." Yether said.

"That is enough!" Someone called out. Everyone looked to see a bright light appear near the gates and immediately kneeled as a very old man comes out of it. He had a very long beard, covering his white robes, straw hat and a staff. "I demand an explanation."

"Master Yether, he started it." Kapau said, pointing to Geoff.

"Yeah, it was his fault." Chope replied.

"Silence!" Yether yelled. "I will not tolerate liars, who assault an Elemental Master, descendant of the original Master of Sand and Master of Glass." A middle aged man, resembling an older version of Geoff, comes up next to Yether. "Not to mention this man's identical persona."

"Welcome, Geoff." He said.

"Um, hello." Geoff replied.

"I see we meet again."

"Uh, I don't think we actually met before."

"Really? You don't know me?"

"All that I know is that your my ancestor. That's all." Geoff's ancestor nods before moving back.

"Now, leave him." Yether said to everyone around Geoff.

They get up and start to leave as stomping was heard and a mech's legs appear with Chen, in his chair, about to strike by pressing another button, but springs come out of the feet and he is bounced away again. "NOT AGAIN!" He yelled.

"Master Yether." Mistaké said, kneeling before leaving as well as Morro and James.

"Now, Master of Sand, I see in your eyes, you have met my descendant, Chongbai." He said. "He wants something, doesn't he?"

"How so?" Geoff asked.

"He sent you here to get it. My staff." He shows it out to Geoff. "The Staff of Vivifica. Why?"

"He wants to resurrect you, through an unborn child, whose blood is Oni when the father drank it. He has a clan called the Yether Age. A friend of mine, is the bearer of the desired baby. Once the baby is born, if a boy, they're gonna bring you back."

"Come with me." They start to move along.
