Chapter 4: Fights, Hugs, and Drugs

Lightning struck the ground around the ninja, but it missed all of them. Red Light hissed. She hated it when she missed. The ninja quickly threw on their masks, ready to fight. Red Light's hands sparked with electricity. But before she could do anything, Kai was holding his sword up against her throat.

"Take us to Nya," he growled, his anger growing.

"And do you really think I'd do that?" She laughed, hitting Kai with her lightning. Kai slumped to the ground, barely alert. Red Light stepped past him. "Who's next?"

Cole shot a dust cloud at her so she couldn't see. Then Zane froze her. Lloyd dragged Kai away from the block of ice. The ninja surrounded Kai.

"Kai, can you hear me?" Lloyd asked. Kai seemed to look at Lloyd but seemed too weak to speak. Smoke filled the air from the burning castle. Firemen were already there trying to stop the flames.

"I'm going to help the firemen," Zane said. Everyone nodded, agreeing. He went into the castle.

"Why'd he go into the castle?" Jay asked, confused.

"Maybe he sensed some people trapped inside," Cole suggested. Jay looked around at the castle's inhabitants standing around in a blob. All of the servant children were standing near the king.

"Where's Jaylin and Jason?" Jay asked worriedly. Then, the ice seemed to shatter all around the ninja. Quickly turning around, they saw Red Light standing there, definitely not frozen. And she looked mad.

"It's three on one," Jay nervously chuckled, "why am I still scared?"

"Come on guys, we can beat her," Lloyd tried to encourage what was left of his team. Red Light jumped at Lloyd, a sword in her hand. He quickly reacted, pulling out a sword of his own.

"The name's Red Light," she said, as she and Lloyd struggled to knock the others sword out of their hands. Jay and Cole watched the fight progress into a struggle for power. Red Light's and Lloyd's swords were pushing against each other, Red Light's strength almost matching Lloyd's. Red Light's hands were charged with electricity, ready to electrify Lloyd. Jay, noticing this, jumped into action, pulling her to the ground before she did anything to Lloyd. The fight turned into a wrestling match.

"How does it feel Jay? You're girlfriend being held captive," Red Light asked.

"Not very nice," Jay answered, feeling sad.

"Poor thing. I'm surprised how long she's lasted considering her... circumstances." She smirked.

Jay shook his head. "I'm not. But if you or Red Lighting laid one hand on her..."

Red Light shook her head. "I'm afraid it's a little too late for that," she smiled. Jay pinned her to the ground with all of his force. Jay was angry. And it takes Jay a lot to feel as enraged as he his now. Jay didn't even think for a second when he started using his powers on her. Red Light felt the electricity going through her body before slipping into unconsciousness. Jay still didn't stop. Cole and Lloyd ran over, worried about their friend, and dragged him away from Red Light's body. Lloyd sat next to Jay, letting him cool off for a moment. Cole- thinking that Jay might've killed Red Light- made sure that she was still breathing. Which she was, relieving Cole from the thought that his best friend is a killer.

"Jay are you okay?" Lloyd asked as Cole joined them. Kai was also nearby, laying down.

Jay clenched his fist. "No," he replied.

"Mind telling us what's wrong?" Cole asked. Jay just pointed to Red Light's body, and then to the clan's base. He did not feel like talking.

"Jay, you need to use your words," Lloyd told him. Jay sighed. He knew Lloyd was right.

"We're so attacking that base tomorrow," Jay growled getting off the ground. Cole and Lloyd exchanged a look. Turning their attention to the fire, Cole and Lloyd cheered with the group of people that had gathered as they saw Zane come out. He was holding Jason and Jaylin was by his side. Both children looked terrified, but otherwise, alright. Zane set Jason down and walked over to the others.

"What happened?" Zane questioned, looking around seeing Jay staring off into space, and Red Light unconscious.

"Jay got really mad at Red Light to simply put it," Cole explained. Zane nodded. He could figure out what happened from there.

"And what about Kai?" He asked, leaning down to look at the sleeping Kai. Lloyd shrugged, not really sure. Zane scanned his vitals.

"It appears that Red Light's lightning has drained Kai's energy. But he should be fine soon enough," Zane stated, happy that his friend was alright.

"So what should we do about her?" Cole asked, nodding his head to where Red Light lay.

"We can drag her to that bridge that connects the clan's base to this realm," Zane suggested. The others agreed.

"But maybe we should do something about Jay first," Cole said glancing at him, who was still staring out into the distance. Lloyd saw to figures moving toward Jay.

"Ja-" he started before realizing that they were hugging Jay. The others went over and pulled Jay into a hug as well. Jay slowly smiled and hugged back. He really needed that hug.

"We're here for you Jay," Cole whispered. "All of us." Jay nodded, remembering that.

Nya awoke on a cold metal table. She felt strange as if something was different about her. She shivered, realizing that she could feel the bare skin on her back. Slowly sitting up, she looked at herself. She was no longer in her ninja suit- or much of anything. Nya's face turned to disgust when she saw that she was in a frilly pink and black bra and underwear. She grew angry at the fact that someone had changed her undergarments. Then she grew scared. Nya did not like where this was going. Grabbing the translucent shawl she was given, she wrapped it around her body. Her bare foot made contact with the black floor. It sent chills through her body. Nya glanced around the room, hoping to find some clothes. But the room was practically empty. Aside from the table she was on, there was a cabinet on the back wall. But Nya could not bring herself to look in there. Spotting a window, Nya looked out into the black night. There wasn't much to look at, just a black void of nothingness. But Nya kept on staring, thinking about everything that's happened. She thought about how lucky she was. Nya knew that her captor could be a whole lot crueler. She was so lost in thought that she didn't even hear the door open.

"Ah, Nya, I'm glad to see you're awake," Red Lighting said, stepping into the room. Nya quickly turned around and hugged the shawl closer to her body. "I brought you some water in case you were thirsty." Nya slowly walked over to the water. Sleeping for hours made her crave the water. She carefully inspected it. It looked like normal water, it didn't smell like anything, yet, she was still skeptical. Red Lightning's seemingly reassuring smile was plastered onto his face. Nya knew it was fake. Would he really try to drug me?  She thought.

"I'm not thirsty," Nya said, setting the glass back down.

"That's a big lie. You know you want it," Red Lighting told her, with a smirk on his face. Nya's face looked disgusted.

"I know what I want," she stated. "And clothes would be very much appreciated." She crossed her arms.

"Nya. Dear. I didn't expect you to be this stupid." Nya's mouth dropped open from the insult as Red Lightning walked up to her and kissed her. Shock took over her before she realized what was happening. It had to be at least five seconds before she kneed him in the stomach, launching him back a few feet.

"WHAT THE HECK!? I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!" Nya shouted. She was about to pummel his face into the floor. Clenching her fists, she went to go punch him. Red Lightning had fast reflexes so he blocked her fist with his hand and grabbed it. Nya was about to go for a kick too, but suddenly her mind just blanked out. She forgot what she was doing. Putting her half-raised foot on the floor, she noticed a sharp pain in her upper arm. A small dot of blood was there, the place where you would get a shot. Her mind felt hazy, and her muscles felt weak. "What... what did... you do?" She managed to get out.

Red Lightning shrugged. "Just a shot." Nya shook her head, gripping on the table.

"You... you drugged me," she quietly said. She felt as if her brain was turning off and on but she still kept seeing hazy images. Not giving up the fight, she sloppily aimed a punch for Red Lighting, who was getting closer. He helped Nya back onto the table and laid her down.

"Now, Nya," he said, taking off his shirt, "just lay there, relax, and let me work my magic."

A/N: Yes, I am cringing as much as you guys on that last part. Sorry it was so short today. I would've written more, but all I've worked out is the setting. My expectations can get higher than my reality sometimes. If I get a snow day like Monday or something, I'll spend all day working on this book. If not, still sometime next week. So, I hope everyone enjoyed! Thanks for reading!
