Garmadon Hunt
A spin-off to the first chapter. This is the story of what Wu was doing.
Wu sat in his room meditating, hoping to find a clue as to where his brother may be. He was about to stop for the day when he got a call from Misako. She had called to tell him about how one of the ladies in the village she was currently at had given her information on where Garmadon was. Wu gathered up a few essentials and prepared to leave.
Wu walked out and was greeted with the chaos of Skylor's birthday party. He apologized for not being able to stay and left. He figured it was best to let them have a chance to relax and have fun, so he didn't tell them where he was going just that it was important.
The elderly man arrived in the village of Windsor and met up with Misako in the tea shop. The two enjoyed a cup of tea while going over the information that Misako had been given.
"According to what she said there were signs of Garmadon in the forest just outside the village boundaries," Misako explained, pulling out her notes and a map of the forest, well at least some of it.
"I think if we start by the lake and go from there we should be able to find something." Wu agreed to the plan and the two set off on their hunt. Little did they know someone was watching them, an evil grin on their face.
When the duo got to the lake Misako pulled out her notes again hoping to find something that would help them. Wu walked around trying to find anything out of the ordinary when he heard movement from behind a bush. He went to check it out only to be hit by a bunch of rocks. There was a little boy there who found it very amusing to attack the elderly man.
"Children nowadays are so disrespectful," Wu said, walking back to where Misako sat.
"Must I remind you of all the times you disobeyed your father?" Misako remarked, clearly trying to hold back her laughter.
"No, you do not," Wu sighed.
As the two prepared to begin moving forward on their journey a fox ran out and stole the map, a very familiar evil glint in his eyes.
The two ran after the fox trying to get the map back. Having run too fast and not stopping in time the two fall off of the small ledge, Wu landing in the dirt and Misako in the lake.
"I don't think he is here anyway," Wu said, placing his hat back on his head and brushing the dirt off of himself.
Misako stood up and readjusted her glasses. "I believe you are right," she said, grabbing her items and walking out of the lake.
By the end of the day, Wu and Misako gave up searching in the forest and decided to head home. A pair of red eyes glowed in the darkness accompanied by a toothy smile. Garmadon chuckled to himself as he watched the other two leave, after all even a dark lord needs to have some fun every once in a while.
