It was Cole's night to cook dinner and no one was looking forward to it. "How come Cole has to cook?" Kai asked. "It's his night..." Lloyd said.

Zane was reading on of his books as his brothers complained about Cole's cooking. He soon heard an aggravated groan from the kitchen. Zane set his book down and went to see what was wrong.

Zane walked in the kitchen to see Cole struggling with... whatever he was making. "Gah! It's hopeless..." Cole cried. "Brother... what is the problem?"
Zane asked, walking over to him. "I... I can't do it Zane," Cole said, "this is hopeless! I can't cook!" Zane gave him an understanding look and a pat on the back.

Cole looked at Zane and smiled. "I can help you if you'd like," Zane offered. Cole nodded and watched as Zane showed him how to make chowder. Zane smiled as Cole watched him. "See? Like that," Zane said. "Alright, I think I've got it," Cole said.

Cole took out the ingredients he needed. Zane showed him what needed to be used first and how to use it. When they finished, everyone sat at the kitchen table.

"Are you sure this is safe?" Jay asked, looking at the chowder. Cole and Zane both nodded. Everyone unwillingly took a bite, and enjoyed it. "Woah! This is amazing!" Kai said. "Yeah!" Lloyd agreed.

After everyone ate, Zane took the dishes and went to clean them. "Knock knock," someone said. Zane turned around and saw Cole standing there. "Hello Cole," Zane greeted. "Thanks for helping with dinner," Cole said, walking over to Zane.

Zane smiled at him. "It was no trouble," he said. "Now... let me help you," Cole said as he grabbed a rag and helped clean the dishes. Zane smiled.
"Thanks..." he said.

Zane decided, for Cole's hard work today, that he would give Cole a reward. So, he kissed him on the cheek. Cole blushed at the gesture. "W-why did y-you do that?" He asked. "It's your reward," Zane replied. The finished the dishes and Cole gave Zane a reward of his own, on the lips that is.
