Alex stood on a rooftop and looked over Ninjago City.  She saw people that she had protected in the past.  All of them were just going about their day.  They didn't know what was about to happen.  Ninjago has been attacked countless times and afterwards, the citizens just carry on with their lives as if there will not be another attack.  It was currently night time and Alex knew what she was about to do.  "It's time to have some fun."

Samurai X Cave

The remainder of the ninja team were watching the computers.  They were looking for any sign that Max received their message.  Unfortunately, all they could do was wait.  There was no guarantee he got their message or if he would even come.  They had been waiting for about three hours so far.  They still haven't been able to track down Alex either.  All of their parents were inside the monastery (mainly because the team told them to sleep).  The team decided to camp out in the Samurai X Cave for the night in case anything happened.  Although, the difficult part was staying awake.  Justin and Rosie were curled up together on a couple of chairs in front of the computer screens.  Rosie would have to nudge Justin every once in a while when he started to doze off.  Juliet and Mason were cuddled up in a corner together and were struggling to stay awake.  Zeke was pacing around the room.  He was previously sitting, but decided to start moving around to keep himself awake.  Harper was keeping herself busy by beating up a training dummy.  Felix was sitting and watching what everyone was doing.  Rosie and Felix didn't necessarily need sleep like the others did, so they weren't fighting to stay awake like the others.

Rosie once again nudged Justin as he was falling asleep.  "Are you sure you are going to be able to stay awake?" Rosie asked her boyfriend.

"I will," Justin said.  "I just need something to keep me going."  Justin grabbed an energy drink that he brought out with him and drank it.  He glanced back to look at what everyone was doing.  "I'm definitely doing better than Juliet and Mason."

Rosie looked over to where the two had fallen asleep.  "Should we wake them up?"

"Let them sleep for now while I think of a fun way to wake them up."  Justin laughed.

"Sometimes I wonder if you are evil."

"Is it evil to have a little fun?"  Rosie rolled her eyes.

The alarm started blaring th4rough the Samurai X Cave.  Juliet and Mason jolted awake.

"YES!!!  Best timing ever!" Justin exclaimed.

Juliet and Mason groaned.  "What's going on?" Juliet asked.

Rosie looked at what the emergency was on the computers and gasped.  "Alex is attacking Ninjago City!"

"We can't let her hurt anyone, even if she was manipulated!" Harper exclaimed worriedly.

"But we don't even know if our plan to get Max back worked yet!" Juliet added on.

"If we don't go, innocent people could get hurt!" Mason argued.

"Remember what happened last time we fought her!" Zeke said.

"Our duty is still to protect the people of Ninjago," Felix said.

Juliet, Mason, Zeke, Harper, and Felix all got into an argument about what to do.

"STOP!!!" Justin shouted.  "Arguing will get us nowhere!  Alex is still one of us, but..."  Justin sighed.  "We have to do our job to protect the innocent citizens of Ninjago.  We're going to go stop her, but we're not going to hurt her!  Use your powers, but not at full strength.  Only use force necessary to restrain her.  Understand?"  Everyone nodded.  "Let's get going." 

Ninjago City

Alex was using her water powers to make pipes burst and water was spraying everywhere.  People noticed that Alex was the person doing it and anyone who tried to stop her or reason with her she would easily take down.  Everyone started running away from the young water ninja in fear of what she would do.

"ALEX STOP!!!"  Alex turned around and saw her brother along with what's left of the team.

"Well, well, well," Alex said.  "Here to try to stop me?  I don't think so."

"Don't do this Alex!  This isn't you!"

"How many times have I told you?!  This is the new me!"

"This isn't, Alex.  This is who Emma manipulated you to be.  You need to snap out of it."

"I'm fine, but you won't be."

"Get ready, guys," Justin told the team.  "Remember, we just want to try to restrain her."

"We'll try, Justin, but I don't think that's what she wants," Mason said.

"This is for her own good," Juliet said.

Alex started charging at them and the fight began.  Alex could tell that they worked on the weaknesses she pointed out the last time she fought them, but she still knew them too well.  She dodged all of their attacks and knocked them all down one by one until, once again, it was just her and Justin.

"Why does it always come down to the two of us?" Alex asked.

"Alex, you have to listen to me," Justin said.  "Emma really has been manipulating you.  She also manipulated Max to make him kiss her.  Neither of you have been at fault for anything that has happened."

"That's not true!  Emma has been the only one to be a real friend to me!"

"No, she hasn't."

Justin and Alex continued fighting.  Justin sent a punch at her with his right arm, but Alex caught it and landed a direct hit on his shoulder.  Justin heard a popping sound as pain shot through his shoulder.  Alex then tossed him to the ground.  "Pathetic," she said.

"ALEX!!!"

She knew that voice, but didn't want to turn around.  She didn't want to face him.  'He hurt you,' Alex thought.

"Alex, please."

'Don't turn around.  Don't turn around.'

"I'm sorry about everything."

Alex slowly turned around and saw Max.  She avoided eye contact with him.

"I never wanted any of this to happen.  Emma fooled us all, except Justin."

The other ninja and samurai started getting up.  Justin was clutching his right shoulder.

Max walked up to Alex and cupped her cheek with his hand.  He gently titled her head up so that she was looking right at him.  "I love you.  We've grown up together and there's always been a special connection between us.  I've always loved you."

Alex's mind started to clear as she looked into Max's eyes.  Max leaned down and kissed her and by the time they pulled away, Alex was snapped out of Emma's influence.  "Max?" she said.  "What have I done?"  Tears started to form in her eyes.

"It's ok," Max tried to calm her down.  He wrapped his arms around her.  "You're ok.  It's all over now."

A/N: Alex is back to normal, but Emma and her master are still out there!  I hope you enjoyed!
