Kai's p.o.v

I hover above the gang while they get people to safety. Using my wings, I keep the cloud at bay long enough. Only a couple of hours ago the day was perfect. Me and Zane were having a picnic for our one month anniversary when this fucking cloud appeared and now...

We have to protect Ninjago. From ehat, from the Oni. A tenden wraps around my leg, I screech in pain as it burns like acid. Zane fires an ice blast and I fly up to the Bounty. Collapsing on the deck, I hold my leg as blood soaks the pants leg.

Cole cuts the leg of my pants open, literally peeling it off. Black vains are surrounding the wound, the cloud is toxic to dragons. The only way to stop the spread, I'm about to do something incredibly stupid.

Zane kneels before me, lifting my head and upper body. My hand igniting, I reach for my leg. Zane stops me, I look at hem. "No, please don't love." He says. "Its..the only....way....." I'm cut off by deep coughs raking my body.

Zane picks me up, taking me to the room. Laying me on the bed, my skin is pale, eyes are starting to dull. He lays a rag on my forehead, I break into a coughing fit. "Just rest. Gain your strength." Zane said, leaving.

My blood feels like it's on fire. The wound itself is an inferno of white agony. How long will I last.

Lloyd's p.o.v

Going to check on Kai, I open the door. He lays on his and Zane's bed,  groaning and tossing his head. The fabric of his pants leg is coated in blood and puss. The black vains are halfway up his leg, everything below is black.

I rest a hand on his arm, he's muttering but it's too faint for me to hear. His hand suddenly grips my arm, claws coming close to my skin. His back arches, Kai cries out in pain. I wish I could help, but what can I do.

Than it hits me, Kai is half dragon, part Oni and Syranix. The Oni toxins are fighting with his dragon genes. I'm dragon, Oni and human, all equal in proportion. If I merge with Kai, maybe my dragon and human side can help.

But, Kai is Zane's mate, I must ask for consent. Ripping my arm away, I run to the deck. The people we saved move as they see me running. "Zane." I said, coming up on hem. He looks at me. "How's Kai." "He's not good. The toxins are killing hem. But, there might be a way to slow or stop it." I say.

Zane fixes his gaze on me, his glowing blue eyes have a colder than normal look in them. Since becoming one, Zane has grown very protective over Kai.

"How." He asks finally. "By me marking and becoming one with hem. The toxins is attacking his dragon genes, which make up half of his DNA and Syranix. Kai's slowly, painfully dying. My DNA is equally proportioned, one is nomore greater than the other." I explain.

Zane looks at me, he's calculating. Than, after a minute, he nods. "You have my consent but, I'll be present." Zane said. We come to the room, Kai is throwing up in a trash can.

He finishes, looking at us. "How's....things...outside." Kai is so pale, so weak. This isn't like hem. "I might have a way to save you and, Zane has gave me his consent." I said.

Kai narrows his eyes, he knows what's up. "If you believe.....it'll help...than do it." Kai said. I go to hem, pushing hem on the bed. Climing on top, Zane stands to the side, watching.

Pulling Kai's collar down, I sink my canines deep in his neck beside Zane's mark. Kai gasps, arching and I grunt as he bites hard on my neck. Drawing some of my blood, Kai removes his teeth, sinking back on the bed.

Pulling away, I stand and turn to Zane. His eyes are narrowed, not in anger but predatory. He slams me into the wall, ripping my collar off and I gasp as he bites harder then Kai did. Seeing his neck, his mark, I repeat the action. My mark is a yin-yang dragon curled up. Zane let's me go as Kai gets up.

He stumbles, we're by his side. Kai looks at us, green and blue coloring mixed in his eyes. "Lets go save Ninjago." He said. We smile, walking with hem.
