Kai's p.o.v

Sitting in our shared room, no one in here, I pull out a picture from my gi pocket. No it's not of my parents, nor Nya, no, it's of the dance group in the underground ring. Their not illegal, they just prefer it that way. No the picture has us seven in it, taken four weeks ago. I'm in the middle, Yumi, Vex, and Jerome from my right, Alex, Greg, and Nora from my left. Four boys and three girls, We're thick as thefts, the best if friends. Very few are invited to join, fewer stay. In last ten years of me being there, us seven are the only ones who have stayed, others have come and gone, but we have remained.

When I was seven, in the middle of a harsh winter. I was out collecting wood for the fire. Humming a tune I had been dancing to, Vex saw and watched me. When I noticed her, I feared she would pick on me but she did the very opposite. She offered me a place in the group, I took it on the promise of seeing Nya through the winter, going to the arena when spring hit. I did two songs and I was in. Over the next three years, the other five joined mine and Vex's dance group. She is leader and me second. Our skills are unmatched.

Hearing the door open, I hide the picture. Standing as Zane walks in, he turns to me. "We landed if you'd like fresh air, are you joining us for dinner." He asks. "No I'll pick something up, y'all have fun." I say. Nodding, Zane leaves the room. Making sure he's gone, I pull out my phone, dialing Vex's number. She answers on the third ring. 'Hey love, long time, no hear.' She says. "Hey, when's the next concert." I ask. 'Tonight at nine, tell me your coming.' She asks. Looking at my watch, if I leave now, I'll have five hours of practice. "You know it, see you soon love." We hang up. Not only is my love of dancing a secret, but so is Vex being my girlfriend. We got together five years ago when I was televe and she eleven.

Changing into my everyday clothes, I head out. Now the reason Zane told me that we landed is one of two things. One, like my element, I hate to be contained. Yeah I could go up top on the Bounty but its not the same. Second, when he asked if I was joining them for dinner and I said no, it's because after we do a concert, us seven go out for a celebration dinner.

Coming to the den, Cole looks at me. He nods, knowing I'm going out. With a mock salute, I leave. Getting on my motorcycle, I drive to the employee entrance of the club. Showing the badge, the gate opens. Pulling to a stop beside Greg's motorcycle, I kill the engine. Stepping off and pulling off the helmet, I'm hugged from behind. Turning, I kiss Vex on the lips. "Get a room." Greg said as he, Alex, Nora, Jerome and Yumi walk up. We do our group hug.

Later on, I hold Vex to me as we sit in the blanket, watching the meteor shower. Picking up a slice of pizza, Vex steals a bite before I can. Blowing on her neck, she shreaks as it tickles. Bitting the pizza, I eat it. After the shower, we say goodnight and I head home.

  Silently walking up to the door, I open it, Zane looking at me. He's doing the dishes but Zane's half asleep. Going over to the sink he's at, I gently take the wash rag from hem. He smiles, one I return and heads to bed. Humming to a tune, I wash and dry the dishes, putting them up. Turning, I jump at the sight of Wu at the table. "Can I be in on the secret." He asked. I sigh, he can keep it. "I'm a choreographer, me and six others. The money we raise it anywhere between one-point-two to point-six million." I explain. "And what is done with it." Wu asked. I smile, pull out my wallet, showing the money I have on hand, roughly three thousand dollars. "A million is divided, going to charities and the hospital's that need them. The rest us dividend among the dancers. On any night I can make roughly two to three thousand dollars. Most I give to the  Bounty, I'll keep about five hundred of the money."

Wu strokes his bread, humming. "And that is where you were tonight." He asked. I smile, dipping my head with a nod. "It felt good to see my beloved girlfriend. We got together five years ago. I'd like to bring her here, but she had a rough childhood and I'm taking it slow. I've never touched her once in that manner. Only around her back and no more than a kiss on the lips." Wu stands, I follow. "Tomorrow, I was going to make you train, punishment for missing evening training. But I'll give you the day off. Use to send with your beloved. Now, goodnight, Kai." Wu says.

I head to the shared room, silently closing the door. Changing into PJ's, I clime in bed, falling asleep.
