1/5 for the 1st part. there will be two or three i believe.

have an amazing day <3

Jay and I were on patrol duty.

It wasn't common that we were paired up. In fact, Jay was supposed to be patrolling with Kai but then something came up. Lloyd then turned to me and said that I should patrol with him. I acted very neutral in that case but I was actually freaking out. I didn't get to patrol with my boyfriend often. Since the team wasn't aware of us dating, offering to patrol with Jay or vice versa would've been bait.

Although, tonight headed in a different direction in terms of topic.

"We can't keep this a secret anymore," Jay told me. I turned to look at him with a raised brow. I was afraid he was talking about something specific.

"Keep what a secret?"

"Us."

I took a deep breath in, letting his words process in my head. He wanted us to just out our relationship? I relaxed my face and Jay was now looking at me as well instead of the city below us. I jumped to sit on the billboard that was in front of us, people watching as I saw the cars passing by. I felt his concerned stare. "Why? Did someone get suspicious?"

"Well...yes- but no! I mean- ugh. Sure, Nya is catching on to us but..." He looked out in the distance and heard the slight clack of his head hitting the billboard behind him. In a way it was where he could rest his head. "I wanted to tell them for a while now. I don't like lying to them. They tried setting me up on two blind dates this past week and do you know how awful I felt standing those girls up?" Honestly, I hated the fact that he was going to go on dates.
At the same time I felt bad because those woman were being set up because Jay never showed up to any of them. I was on edge whether giving him the green light to go as a friendly gesture but they weren't there to be friendly.

At the end, it was Jay's decision. Jay lied about them to everyone and they believed him. Surprisingly, Kai didn't hear the bad news from the girls since he was the one mainly organizing it.

Unfortunately, Jay was right.

Lying felt terrible and it was a miracle that we kept it from them for this long. Over two years to be exact. We first kept it quiet because we wouldn't want to announce it and then say that we broke up. Jay didn't exactly want to have another public breakup. We gave it six months and things started to soar from there. We kept on pushing the date as to when we wanted to tell them. At the same time, having a secret relationship felt a bit scandalous and it was the rush of adrenaline that kept it a secret.

I guess that pool had dried up.

I gave out another sigh, taking off my hood to really feel the night air prickle at my skin. I chuckled half-heartedly, "it was fun while it lasted huh?" He scooched closer, his hood down as well and he rested his head on my shoulder.

He huffed out of his nose. "Yeah. I will miss those two am runs to the convenience store and the motel dates." I started reminiscing about those times, wrapping my arm around his shoulder and pulling him closer. They were the only ways to get privacy. Of course his parents knew we were dating and the kept it a secret from everybody for us.

I smiled. "Even when we snuck into each other's bedrooms just to cuddle. I will miss those times with you."

"We will still be able to do it."

"You and I both know it won't be the same. At least I am ninety-nine percent sure that we won't break up and have to deal with everyone knowing." He lifted his head from my shoulder with an amused look on his face.

"Ninety-nine?" I smiled with a giggle, leaning towards him and I kissed the tip of his nose which made his freckles bunch up together.
It was so cute.
He was so cute.

"Got to be a realist." I nonchalantly raised a shoulder. "Wanna do it in two weeks?"

"Why so far? Next week." His face was just to much for me to resist and he wasn't even doing his innocent puppy face. I rested my hand on his cheek stroking the apple of his cheek with my thumb. I nodded, telling him I agreed. I felt his eyes all over my face and lastly on my lips. I leaned in closely.

"Jay! Y/n! Come in!" Cole's voice was heard on the intercom. We pulled away and put on our hoods immediately. I pressed the button and asked him what was wrong. "You gave have been still for a few minutes, is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything is fine we were just catching our breaths. We will be patrolling the rest of the city. We only have one more quarter to go."

"It's fine. Pixal hasn't picked up any activity in the past two hours and is sure that there won't be any crimes tonight. It's getting late anyways, you can head home now." Then he was off. We both looked at each other and I knew he had blush on his cheeks but his hood covered most of it. He formed his dragon and I hopped on behind him. I knew he was surprised because we had barely done this. Most of the time, when we needed our dragons the team was around.

"You tired?" I only nodded, digging my head softly into his muscled back, closing my eyes. I felt one if his hands on my hands and I was aware that the other was being used to control the dragon in itself. Half way through the ride, we landed in the forest. I wasn't asleep nor was I tired despite it being four in the morning but I knew why we stopped.

I conjured up my own dragon so the team wouldn't be suspicious. Before I could jump off Jay's dragon, he turned around to face me, lifted up both of our masks then he grabbed my face between his hands just to lay a kiss on my lips. Probably to make up for Cole's cockblock but I wasn't complaining. I kissed harder back, loving the softness of his lips engulfing mine with the passion he had. When we separated, he gave off of a goofy smile.

"Now you can go on your dragon." I obeyed his instructions and then we went back to the monastery.

"Hey, um, Jay," Kai said the next morning in a suspicious tone when we were in the kitchen eating breakfast.

"Yeah?"

"The girl said that you never showed up."

"Which one?"

"Both."

I stuffed my face with cereal.

I knew that reality television show he had worked for his acting skills. Some may say that his emotions are on his sleeve. That is partially true. Secrets are forever kept in his heart no matter what. "That doesn't make sense. I went to the Ninjago cheesecake factory and met up with-"

"You went to NCF. Jay, I said NPF. Ninjago pie factory. I booked you guys a pie making class. Then who did you go out with?" Then Jay pulled everything from his ass right there on the table spewing the most amount of shit. I almost believed him due to how good he was at lying.
We all sat and listened to Jay ramble even though he tried to make it as short as possible. Then the second girl came up and then he was talking about a trampoline park. Whatever got them to believe it.

Jay and I were washing dishes together that same morning. Which isn't uncommon. Since we both only know how to bake, we got put on washing dishes duty often. Cole is banned from ever touching the kitchen so he doesn't help out much here. I was then remembering what he said during breakfast.

"So did she backflip and break her ankle or did she land badly and fractured her tailbone? I don't remember." He then groaned, passing me a clean plate to dry.

He lowered his voice. "I thought you wouldn't catch on to that."

I snickered, putting the plate away. "Obviously, I did. You know," I started, taking the next plate from him, thinking about my words carefully, "you can tell them if you want. After this morning, it showed that I rather save you from all of this trouble then make up shitty lies." My boyfriend gasped, putting down the plate I had in my hands to lift me up and spin me around.

"Are you serious?"

I nodded with a shy smile. I could see he couldn't contain his excitement. His smile was lopsided and his cheeks were dusted pink. I could see his hair go a little all over the place. It was one of the side effects of him being happy. His hair would go up when excited. He then looked around to see if no one's there before kissing my nose which made me scrunch my face. He them mouthed 'I love you'.

I mouthed an 'I love you too' back.

—————

I could see the confusion on their faces as to why they were there, sitting on the sofa or the chairs before us. Me and Jay stood awkwardly the next day because Jay had a panic attack about telling them the day before. It took him time to recover and gain the courage to let them know. I knew he really wanted to but sometimes the fear got to him.

"Are you guys pregnant?" Lloyd asked the two of us. I looked down to my stomach in concern, wondering if my stomach was getting larger. I knew it wasn't but I wanted to know what gave him that idea.
"You both are sweating all over the place. We can raise the child, it'll be fun! Then I can no longer be the youngest!"
Oh yeah, reaping the benefits that I am pregnant for Lloyd to care for. It's not like we have millions of people to look after but hey, why not one more? Sometimes I forgot that he's the youngest and is mature but yet stupidly childish and naïve.

"From my calculations, she does not appear to be pregnant through my x-rays." The team just looked at the nindroid with wide eyes.

I gasped, covering myself. "Zane! What the fuck!"

He shot me a bored, but yet innocent, expression. "It is only to be used if there is something inside of you. A bullet, an organ failure or a fetus. I am not sure what is the issue." Fuck Zane for being so innocent. A collective sigh was heard among the group and I was sure I let out the heaviest.

"We are not pregnant!"

"Well," Nya started, "what's up? Why're we here?"

The blue ninja grabbed my hand and held it up.

"Ironically though, we're dating."

It was silence for a second, jaw drops and unbelievable stares. Then Cole, Zane and Kai were extremely happy for us which was a given. I knew they were going to be happy no matter what. I felt the tightness of his grip lessen in relief.
The leader was bored, I guess the baby thing was more of an exciting news. Lloyd smiled gave us a thumbs up of approval and walked out of the living room. Something about having to finish the comic he was reading.

Nya was the one who was super excited and pushed in front of the three and bombarded us with questions. All of which I answered because Jay got overwhelmed. Then Zane went off while Jay talked to Cole.

"You have been dating for two years and you didn't tell me!" The earth ninja exclaimed to Jay. My boyfriend's voice lowered so I couldn't hear his response and the Smith siblings cornered me. Question after questions. As much as I was annoyed by their questions I was content.

They were very happy for us that we told them and a little part of me is glad we told them.

For the sake of us and more importantly, Jay.
